5:02 - Did you just mean the native Apple Vision Pro app, and iPad app? Because people can still use the browser to watch... and probably also iPhone app. For some reason most news reports only focus on certain iPad apps only, not sure why.

IMO, Apple is actually coming into a new market worse off than it ever has before. There is so much missing in capability with no 6dof controllers, tethered battery and still a front loaded heavy headset, substandard FOV, frustrating hand / eye tracking only.

For me, I'm HOPING it will be a Macbook. I think I can fit my workflow in utilizing different apps and browsers since I will be "limited" to only ONE virtual Mac screen. (Mac OS Stage Manager will be a huge help here.) I'm also in line to get mine on the 2nd. It's funny. I'll have it in my hands before the BigSceen Beyond that I ordered late OCTOBER. They are making me a little angry with the delays as they had some kind of internal snafu regarding the FOV calculations on a lot of orders, (Including mine which was off by at least 5 points 69 vs my "normal" 63). Looking forward to my vision pro, as I will be using mostly for work and content consumption. Could not really justify either purchase,, but you only live once, ya know? Looking forward to your experience as well. Long time watcher and I THINK first time commentator.

Agree 😂. But to be fair, look at which two headsets he is discussing in the video…hard eye rolls because one has insane price, and one is a pipe dream. Waiting patiently with my wallet closed to see where the cards fall.

I have a 3D spatial video question. On the quest 3, is it possible to use the Game Optimizer app and record EMUVR in spatial 3D, then when I play it back, it will be as if I'm in the EMUVR app? I know I can view it with a 3D look on a flat screen in VR, but that's not what I'm wanting, if that makes sense? Thanks if anyone can help! :)

I'd be happy to pay ~$1-1.5K for a headset ergonomically optimized for multi-screen work. Meaning it has to be light enough and have enough battery endurance for at least half of a work day. Don't need any other AR/VR or mixed reality stuff, just clear and comfortable multi-screen and seamless operation of keyboard and mouse. Basically I need my full multi-monitor desktop set up but portable. What's available now don't really cut it but I believe the techs are already here, they're just not optimized for this particular use case. Not convinced with the Visor yet but let's see.

I hope Visor is real, should satisfy my screen replacement itch even with an external power source.

Sounds like a scam to me. It’s like someone advertising a flying car but barely gets off the ground and it’s using a small engine to do so. Can see that the processing power on that one being pretty bad and the UX being very laggy and lackluster, or it lacking a lot of features. Literally think about it. Where are you gonna put all the components into that small glass when we’re only at 3nm and all other components aren’t minuscule yet. Also hasn’t seen a proper demo yet so I’ll wait to see if it can prove me wrong. My expectation is in the negative right now.

It is probably real. Intel's CEO (who is also an investor) discussed it with a prototype in hand at the last Intel Innovation keynote. Who knows, maybe he's in on the scam, but that seems ridiculous.

Immersed's Visor is not trying to beat Apple, in the same way Google Andriod was not there to beat Apple's iOS. Its there so as to be affordable to the masses that are in no way able to be priced in the market for what Apple sells.

AOSP might not have been started to replace iOS, but I'd take it any day of the year over it at any price point. Can't even do virtualization on apple phones, even if the hardware is technically superior. Why bother being so much better if you can't use it for anything cool. Very similar to people who buy a 4090 and then use it to play only visual novels and a web browser.

I heard one 4K micro OLED costs $750. Meanwhile Visor charges that for the whole thing. Something doesn't add up. Also, has anyone seen it in real life?

We got approved by Qualcomm to do demo's for product reviewers in Q2. We're not using the same optics supplier as Apple. Ours is significantly less expensive, and we're not using the tri-laminating approach that Apple used (much more expensive).

Welcomeback, good to see you again. 9:00, Meta doesn't include eye and face tracking in the 3 because they only break even on it as it is. Same reason there is only a cheap headstrap. Some of the passthrough features on the 3 weren't ready for the Pro. The 3 tech is amazing at 500.00. And we won't get 4K OLED screens, eye and face tracking with real audio for under a grand any time soon

Ceo is the creator of Immersed. Hes highly credible and is leveraging and partnering with big successful companies to help make this possible , the formula for producing the Visor is just what the world is waiting for. He explained the visor is cheaper than people expected because they want to get this in the hands of everyone and they plan on making most of profits from monthly membership not the headset itself( membership is optional but opens more features etc). Very excited to see the Visor in person! This is a great step in the right direction!

The Visor is going to be the sleeper VR hit of the year

vr need to be 8k per eye. even the apple vr struggle with small screen size, ppl have to resize the screen so big that they need to turn their head too much to see their monitors

Fragmentation of the quest platform is actually a huge issue when deciding which features to support.

I'm having a lot of trouble finding field of view vertically for the Apple VR headset. People have estimated about 100-105 for the AWP. I am hoping that rockstars like you, Virtual Oasis & MRTV will do this soon. I have a Quest 3, but not great for productivity. This Visor seems interesting for a sub $500 cost with a monthly cost, if it is similar in quality to the AWP. I have 5 monitors already, so maybe it won't be a big upgrade. Will see how it all works out. Oh, it was super hard to find this channel. I subscribed because I didn't do that before. Don't want to find this channel again.

You have to pay for a subscription to get "standard warranty". Yeah thats not how warranty works.

Immersed headset might be a DecaGear 1 successor.

I hope that Apple will have a creative space for VR 3D content creators. 3D VR content consumes lots of time and resources, but KZread is trashing it with its compression.

Plus it lets you rotate the video horizontally but not vertically. So you want to watch a vr video while lying down? Then you can only look up at the top of the video. Its like it was made by people who have never tested it in a headset.

Visor is handily beating Vision Pro in comfort. It can be worn for long periods, so it actually makes sense to use in the workplace. Also, Visor will work as a regular VR headset once devs make it work (Immersed is making them open-ended for devs to adapt them to different uses). AVP beats Visor in terms of sophisticated cameras/tracking hardware and having an app store full of VR-ready apps (and some AR apps, hopefully many more to come). But it's a $3,500 clunky behemoth, making it less comfortable for long wearing sessions.

Lol looking at the Visor Plus Membership @2:11, it says you can "Free extended 3hr battery". Do they give you another battery or do they somehow increase the battery capacity when you get a membership? 😂

Lol, I see how the wording makes no sense. They did have a 2 hour battery but have upgraded it to a 3 hour, so I think that's what they mean by extended, but it doesn't make sense reading it. They also didn't originally give the battery to those who ordered the headset unless you got the founders edition, and then decided to give the battery to everyone! So the founders edition has been watered down over time, you apparently still get it early, but time will tell 👍

it's a replacement of the 30min battery included normally, they are aware this wording is confusing and they should change it but yeah, it was originally only for founder edition, then also for pre order, then also if you subscribe

I think its that without cables headset can do 30 mins, while with a battery (cable) attached which will be included it will do 3hrs, this will be same approach as Apple using minus the 30 mins standalone this can do

@@TRX25EX Unfortunately there is no internal battery at all, so you can't hotswap the one on the wire otherwise the headset will immediately lose power. This does make it lighter/smaller though, but you will always need the cable/battery.

Secondhand Pico 4 is still the best value for pcvr love it more than quest 3 because its more comfortable with bobovr headstrap a dream to wear this thing

we can't compare vision pro and vision immersed , first one is made to be a camputer by itself some days and other use the power of a computer like a screen.

I'm just worried about all of those who whould be happy with a quest 3... But will give up or worse hate XR after buying a $3K veriosn when a $600 one ill do.

When you do the AVP review one thing to note is all the non gamers reviewing this headset don’t talk about FOV or lens glare much at all. Hard to get solid answers from anyone.

It's worse than Quest 3, that's for sure in terms of FOV..... Glare is an issue in it due to OLED blacka combined with higher brightness, it's pretty noticeable.... That's from someone who used it and shared his experience

What meta is doing is taking away features from the new lite headset so you buy the Quest 3 and if they have a different cheaper headset for beginners then they will eventually upgrade to the Quest 3

Losing the depth sensor from the cheaper headset actually would make very little difference, the quest 3 use it so rarely it almost not worth it even having

Then you have the nerve to ask is the Vision Pro an iPad on your face with a M2 and R1 chipset? If you know anything about VR, you know that anything close to an Apple Pro is a PCVR setup. AVP is standalone and nothing can touch it! There is your answer!

Bro acting as he knows everything in VR lol, I owned 13 VR headsets and attended 4 XR events so far with one coming in March..... Vision Pro is a 2022 hardware in a 2024 software.... Don't be fooled by Apple marketing thinking it's beyond anything else, no it's not.... If it wasn't for software development delays it would have launched in late 2022 and it would have made perfect sense, but now it's too late as hardware development is way passed it.... Don't be fooled

Go on, answer it, instead let me tell you things that M2 can't which XR2 can: 1. 4K VR gaming (more impressive than anything apple showed by far) 2. 5 windows casting screen (M2 can only do one casting) 3. Emulate games like 3DS games, M2 unable to do that 4. Have a real time MR rendering at a size of your whole house (M2 only at specific area) 5. Support of Wifi 6E (M2 only does Wifi 6) 6. No steam vr means its nothing to do with us VR gamer. Praydog UE mod is what we want with Visor with Steam vr but too bad. Btw, Visor is norhing to do with vr since no 3d sbs feature.

what do you mean no 3d sbs ? it will obviously do it, it's the base of VR also, steamvr will not be supported officialy as it's a productivity focused headset and the team want to focus only on that to be faster, but it will be openxr compatible and they will let the headset open to the community, so a steamvr compatibility will certainly happen at some point (but it will need base stations and vive controllers to work)

They have said that it will have 3d movie player and web browser useable standalone. All other features require immersed app and a PC/Laptop.

Between the vision pro and those cardboard vr boxes for your phone, I'd go cardboard box all day long.

I don’t think anyone is panicking over the AVP. All it’s doing is bringing attention to quest 3 through all the comparison talk and selling more headsets for Meta.

I looked at their FAQ. As soon as I saw the return policy with 20% restocking fee within the 30 day window ... It was a no from me. The fact that I cannot find a specifications list is also worrisome. If it is shipping this year, they know most of the specs.

9:20 - He is assuming a lot, Meta keeps showing off research HMD that have nothing in common with what this release publicly, even the Meta Quest Pro is nothing like any of those... in fact isn't weird that Meta didn't release a few of those research HMDs as a Quest Pro line already.

the problem with those research prototypes is that it's not possible (yet) to mass produce them, and they can't create new factory lines and process just for one niche prototype that will be super expensive and not proven tech for example the passthrough autofocus feature is one of those prototype tech in the varjo xr4 and makes the headset go from 4k to 10k$

Well, I think it's pretty obvious that the Apple Vision Pro is an Ipad on your face. Infact, you can't do the things you would do with a Mac with the headset alone, you'll need a Mac for that. Furthermore, without a Mac, you can only use the Apps that you would use on an Ipad. This means that this product is just the most overpriced Ipad (in this case a facial Ipad) that Apple has ever made.

Immersed is likely scamming people out of their money. Maybe wait before you start content discussion? This may be software locked completely to use only immersed software. Immersed Visor is too good to be true...

Very been following the whole visor situation very closely for the past months and it is more likely to be real than a scam. They really are trying to do the things they claim. Is moreso a question of just how soon they'll really be able to do it. Even so, I would still wait for the public demos next quarter to even think about pre-ordering

@@robertpetrie2536 I dont think you have actually even read the faq page of the visor website. It literally says they are not locking down the hardware to only immersed, sideloading is supported. Renji (immersed ceo) has also confirmed this in multiple interviews and tweets. Also remember that they are not doing this alone. They have more than 3 company partners om this product. I dont think you understand that companies like BOE are trying to get these displays out as soon as possible.. And if you analyze the theoretical part cost, it is below the msrp. It doesn't have lofty margins like the apple vision pro, but considering they are focusing on software profit and targeting enterprise markets, it makes sense.

A pair of visor sunglasses will never beat a Apple Vision Pro These things aren’t anywhere near as immersive or have any FOV

they use the same type of micro oled screens and pancake lenses, and are supposed to have 100° fov (so the same as vision pro) they are not at all the same tech as actual glasses like xreal but are exactly like a quest 3 just with externalized battery, wifi, bluetooth and no audio to save space

It should be covered, so should potential headsets. Quest 3 Lite has been covered by loads of people, without seeing it, and they cancelled it. PICO 5 was covered by loads of people, cancelled. Apple Vision Pro was covered before anyone saw it. Valve's next headset has been covered by numerous people and who knows where that is! Tyriel covered that it hasn't been seen working yet, so covered the risk. I think the coverage is fine 👍

Next quarter when it's demo'd (now that we have Qualcomm's permission, since it's their IP too), all the haters will be silenced. 🤷🏽‍♂ I'd focus more of your time on trying to sell your $2K brick headset, or more of your crypto to stay funded, rather than wasting it on the Visor you don't believe in. @@artursychov They give a refund the second you ask though, and your purchase only becomes non refundable when you pick your IPD/do a face scan and start getting the specifics prepped for you, for a small company this could be understandable to gauge interest, and get your production numbers right. Meta, PICO and others have all been burned by overestimating orders and having to significantly scale back production. That could collapse a smaller company, so I don't see an issue along with the refund policy. If you don't like the product or what is being presented at point of customisation, then get a refund. It's better than the typical crowd funding sites which a number of companies have used.
