Such a great and throughout video. Thank you.
Thank you! 👍
11:11 is a KTM 1390 Super Duke R Evo. Unique looking bike!
@0:49 Imagine being in 6th gear at 38mph. WTF, I don't shift to 2nd gear till 35mph and never use 6th unless I am cruising on the highway over 60rmph.
Thank you for your feedback
Coming from a sports bike myself. Getting older and wanting something a little more comfortable. Have wondered how it would handle at spped in the turns and you answered my questions. Thank you. Was really convmcerned about the lean angle and scraping the pegs. Is there anything to be done about that? Not that I mind some scrapes :)
pull the leg...
Hi Vlada! 👍
The lower part of the riser has three screws, two above, and one below. Can it be one above, and two below? Is one way recommended or does it not matter?
It won't matter, whatever your preference, but why do you want to switch them around, are you trying to get more height or is it just a visual preference?
@@ontherebel11 it would just be a visual thing. I'm not even sure which way I would do it I would have to see it on the bike first. Lol I know it's kind of a dumb question but thanks for answering. 👍
@olheghtt not dumb at all! It's just a preference that's all, it will be just as functional! 🤙
I love this video just because i have a rebel 1100 and this is my local track.
That's awesome to hear bro! I love summit Point! 🤙
Thanks- I almost forgot about the DCT filter.
I'm happy to hear that you found it helpful brother! 🤙
Thank you for your genuine honesty I just want to have agood time on a good bike
Thank you for your comment! I'm happy to hear that you found it helpful! 🙏
Vaya!
Looks fun AF!
It sure is man! 🤙
Genial!
¡Gracias Toñi!
I had night dragons, very disapointed. They were great in the begining but after 2000miles must change them.
In my experience, i prefer the Metzeler cruisetecs tbh. I will be going back to them.
I think I have bad news re: these bags. I just completed (7.3.24) an online chat with a Viking rep and was told they no longer sell hard bags for the Rebel 1100, and do not have plans to bring it back. Ugh! Has anybody else had a different experience?
I'm sorry to hear that Chris.... this sucks
Ah, so not 4k. (1) 4k and (1) 1080p
Fact! 🤣
Awesome!
Thank you Ryan 🤙
@ontherebel11 the Rebel is leaving the other riders on sports bikes in fear!! Great videos! This will be my next my 1st bike soon: a 2023 Honda Rebel 1100 DCT!
Yes it was making people scratch their heads! 🤣🤣 Congratulations, you made an excellent choice! 🤙
I added some grease to the gromets to make working on the bike later easier later on, also you may want to take that exhaust off and recoat it, starting to look like its wanting to rust ? Or maby thats dirt ? Great video as usual :).
Nicely Done!!
can't wait to pick mine up!
Congratulations!!! You will love it, just remember that every bike needs to be dialed in to your comfort.
hey gus! For the brake gasket that needs to be replaced, is it just the black rubber piece or also the white plastic piece on top? For both front and rear brake resevoir? Thank you!
Hi Simon! Since you will be placing the order, it's best practice to replace both, while you are there, consider adding new caliper bolts for the front and rear since the manual states to replace them when you change your brake pads. btw, i highly recommend replacing the front and rear pads, I've tried 2 different compounds on the front and only 1 on the rear, well worth it if you want better braking.
@@ontherebel11 good morning Gus! Do you have the parts number for the caliper bolts? I’m kind of lost on that? Are those the two bolts on top of brake fluid reservoir that you use to secure both front and rear gaskets ? As for the brake pads should I replace them even if the bike is only 2999 miles? Or just get them now and replace them later when needed? Thank you so much for the help and the heads up about replacing both the white plastic and the rubber gasket for both! 🙏🏾😄
@@SimonLi Hi Simon, The OEM brake pads will last you for many many more thousands of miles, the pads that i'm rcommending are upgrades, if you are happy with the braking performance, no need to upgrade, but it's good to know for the future when you decide to upgrade. If you don't intend on replacing your brake pads, there's no need to get new bolts, but in case, they are listed below.👍 Front Caliper bolts: (Two) 90123-MJP-G50 Rear Caliper Bolts: One: 45131-MN9-006 One: 90180-MN8-006
@@ontherebel11 thank you Gus! You’re the goat! 🐐 🙏🏾
@@SimonLi Anytime Simon!
It was watching this video that made me drive to Honda's and part exchange my GSX S750 Suzuki for a manual Rebel 1100 - love it and love the sound...
Thank you for sharing your experience, I'm very happy to hear that you found the video helpful! I just hit 30,000 miles on mine and still love it! Zero issues! Congratulations brother! 🤙
Hey Gus! Just got my used honda rebel 1100 and realized that the parking brake wont stay put when pulling on it. It just comes back down when i pull it. Do you know what the issue maybe? Does the cable just need to be adjusted to fix it? Thank you!
Hi Simon! Congratulations bro!! do me a favor, double check how far up you are pulling, if the cable is adjusted tightly, it requires quite a bit of force to pull it all the up to the locked position.
@@ontherebel11 thank you Gus! You have seriously been a life saver! I think that might be it! I’m using a lot of force and it won’t stay so I’m gonna mess with the nuts to see. I don’t want to use too much force and snap it off 😭. You’re a god send for the community and I see you helping us all out on the Facebook group as well 🫶🏾
@@SimonLi you are too kind brother! I hope it's just as simple as a tight cable 🤙
Wonder if this would help me, was in first gear and it felt like it was slipping in and out of first, 2021 1100 dct, 800 miles on it
I'm sorry to hear that man.... the bike is brand new, i have heard of similar situations where the DCT acted up, most were related to bad/weak battery. But if the bike is under warrantee, take it back to the dealership to get inspected. FYI, i have 30,000 miles on mine over the past for riding seasons with zero issues! fingers crossed
Naaah, 30000 miles for a Honda is peanuts!! 😜 Put almost 100000 miles on my cbr 600 '03 before I sold it and ran like new! Keep it up man!!
Couldn't agree more! 🤙
Slapjack is junk. Difficult to raise bike and base slips on all surfaces.
Hi GC, I'm sorry to hear that you had difficulties, I've used mine on my bike and my friends' bikes countless times since I bought mine and had zero problems! Solid as a rock! 🤙
Pity you can't ride properly. Oh well, another feed by some youtube troll😂

I have noticed aftermarket modifications cause issues to a motorcycle in general. This happens especially with Harley Davidson's!
Hi Abbas! Yes I totally agree! Thank you for your feedback brother! 👍
It's an amazing video. Thanks for doing it. I had one issue while replicating what you did. In order to remove the 17mm nut, i had to hold the adjuster with the 5mm Allen key, so that the bolt doesn't move the adjuster bolt. It would be great if you can edit the video and repost it. It might help people. Thanks again.
Thank you and a great recommendation! Unfortunately, I would have to delete the video and make a new one, I might do that in the future 👍
10000 on my 23, just no bike like it.

Thank you for your feedback 👍
This install is such a pain with the new design. Can't get enough space for the second spacer and the bar to fit between the gap. 💀
Hi Pablo, thank you sharing your experience, I haven't personally seen the new design so I appreciate the insight brother! 🤙
With the new design there's only the two clamps, the two adhesive rubber strips, two spacers and the two bars. There's no longer spacers that go in the arm sleeve bolts. The only spacers that are used are on the inside. The 2024 rebel doesn't have a bolt on both sides of that engine rod (idk what to call it). It only needs to get bolted in on one side, but my friend and I had the worst time feeding the bolt back through due to the engine and housing shifting down a little bit. We got an an airshem and used that to jack up the center. We then used a jack hook to just pull and push the metal some to where we could create enough space for the 2nd spacer cause the crash guards go in the space with the spacers. It was a pain but the guards are on. Thanks for giving us insight on where to lift the bike with the air Shem and the clamp placements.
Please advise what top box you had on at the beginning of your video. I'm interested in something I can put my full face helmet and jacket in when I park for lunch. Thanks for all you do for Rebel owners.
Hi Jeff! The top box is awesome man, i took it on a 2,000 trip to test it out, made the ride so much more conformable and convenient, great value too! here's a little segment where i review it on the last day of the trip. It can fit a large full face helmet with room to spare, not sure about being able to fit a jacket in there too though. kzread.info/dash/bejne/aoB_26SPptHPZrg.htmlsi=A8TGOugsteVlw8pt&t=1093 Here is the link, mine is the 32 L, they have a larger one as well, the cool thing about it is that you can buy so many other top boxes for the same base plate from Givi. www.t-rex-racing.com/2021-2022-Honda-Rebel-1100-1100T-Luggage-Rack-p/n26-21luggagerack.htm
Is that petroleum motor oil or synthetic? Can I use Mobil 1 synthetic? What's the purpose of the little bell?
Hi John, I use regular petroleum oil, I've heard mixed reviews with people using full synthetic, do your research before making a decision, personally I won't be using synthetic. The bell is supposed to be good luck, one has to be gifted a bell from a friend supposedly. 🤙
I live in Thailand. Now i follow your video. I like and thank you for your share every thing.
Thank you very much, I appreciate your comment sir! 👍
This video is by far the best 1100 dct oil change video on KZread. The video quality and attention to detail is outstanding. Question: Do you think it is necessary to replace the DCT filter O-ring after the 600-mile break-in oil change? Thanks!
Thank you Mark! I do recommend changing the o ring, I've seen numerous oil leaks due to the o ring, personally I wouldn't risk it, but there are owners who opted not to change it, weigh the pros and cons and the decision will come to you, the manual states that you need a new one at every change 🤙
Wow nice review, i hope i can buy this machine in the future... thank you sir..
I'm happy to hear that you found it helpful! 👍
What happened with the Denali Mini Soundbomb?
Still going strong after 3 years and 30,000 miles! Highly recommended! Easy install using the same oem wiring
Has anyone installed these without lifting the bike? And if you did was it really hard to do so?
Hey Bro, you're not following best practice when using a torque wrench. Better to set it to 6.6 pounds and torque up the bolts, better still is to torque the bolts in sequential stages, torque at lower and then as manufacturer specs... Those missing spacers are going to lead to issues...
Thank you for your feedback 👍
@@ontherebel11 No worries, I am not trying to criticize you, I don't want you to have a suspension failure ending up in injury or even death.
Hello, I was going to do this myself, but Honda dealership said I would be putting too much pressure on the brake cable. They recommended adding a longer brake cable. I'm just wondering if I would only need to purchase a longer brake cable or if all the cables need to be extended. Thank you in advance!
Hi Moto Cat!! Thanks for stopping by!! You could definitely get a longer parking brake cable, if the dealership has one available that's awesome! I didn't need to get extensions for the electrical cables, but i strongly recommend and urge you to get a front brake line extension, here is the part number from spieglerusa, ask for the 4 inch. @@motocatz87 Thank you!! To be completely honest with you, i wouldn't have been able to keep the bike had i not installed the risers, i'm very short with short arms. I have since added 2 more inches for a total of 6 inches, i'm sharing this to illustrate how much slack is available in the electrical cables and how i rerouted the parking brake cable. kzread.info/dash/bejne/e32qzbeNdMrQeaQ.html
I got mine connected directly to the battery but I am thinking about getting the Thunderbox because it is draining my battery (it doesn't turn off automatically), did you connected the acc cable to the same slot as the positive or did you occupied another slot for it? Thank you!
Hi there! Yes I connected it to the the same slot. I experimented both ways and it made no difference. It's so nice when it turns on and off automatically!
As a cyclist and biker myself, I understand the importance of choosing a comfortable saddle. It is essential for cyclists, especially those who ride for extended periods or participate in races, to find a saddle that suits their needs at very early stage. I agree with all the points you mentioned in your video. Additionally, it's worth noting that women tend to have wider sit bones compared to men. Therefore, what may be comfortable for women may not be the same for men. As a man, it is crucial to consider a saddle that not only supports your buttocks but also has a slimmer or tapered downward nose. This design helps reduce pressure on your inner thighs, preventing the blockage of blood flow and discomfort during longer rides. This is particularly true for shorter riders when your legs are tightly hugging the saddle, the numbness on your inner thighs will quickly build up due to the reduced blood flow. Therefore, it is essential to find a saddle that takes these factors into account for a more enjoyable riding experience. Have a comfy ride!!
Thank you so much for your valuable input, this will really help others make the right decision for themselves. 🙏
