Hi, my name is Ben. I am 18 years old, and I travel around the country going on numerous adventures, including sailing, backpacking, kayaking, mountain biking, hiking, and competitive high school running. I created this channel to share my adventures with others as well as to inspire others to get outside and live an adventurous lifestyle.

Absolutely beautiful views Love it thanks for sharing guys great video 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
VERY cool. thanks for posting the info
i have the 9,5 sound, great rig
can u make a video with some of the gear you use for coldd weather kayaking, wind on the lake can be really difficult sometimes, even waves on the lake
@chillios2222 absolutely I've been looking into making more gear style videos for people. If it's really cold and a chance of Flipping I will take a wet suit but other then that I just use my rain jacket and rain pants. Also a warm hat if it's a lake with no rapids.
You guys had an awesome time love it. Im going back next year it was like Paradise to me.
Like 6 Hello my friend, thank you for sharing, a very beautiful video. I wish you good luck and lasting success 17:08

Also, I live in the Baltimore area if you would ever like to go fishing hit me up
I have a small inflatable raft well I have to get a permit for that
@djglobetrotter7635 I believe inflatables aren't allowed on liberty reservoir. They won't let you get a permit for it.
Thanks for uploading! I only do still water yough but thinking middle yough next time! Nice videos!
Maybe we could go for a ride
Dude I live 1mile from your house, I live on Hodges near the reservoir gate
I'm your 500th subscriber
Let's go! I've been waiting to hit that mark for a while now.
@@theadventureswithben oh also I live on Hodges so maybe we could go for a ride?
@@theadventureswithben liberty reservoir?
@gregorysucher6987 we should defintly get together sometime this summer to ride a bit around the reservoir. Just curious how old are you?
@@theadventureswithben 15 but I ride with my friend who is 18
Dog get some riding gear
yo thats so sick, such a beautiful area. did you see any trains go through harpers ferry?
There ia always a lot of trains going and coming from the Harpers Ferry area.
good review man u still rockin this one?
I've gotten into more whitewater recently and got myself a packraft but still use this a good bit.
Been there when I was a kid, we floated down on tubes for 15 miles
Yo this is cool, Ive been to this same state park before. I used to do similar land navigation stuff in high school, that stuff is fun. Nice video.
Walked those streets as a kid...in the 60s It was way different then...
Nice video! Totally shocked to see myself at 1:27 lol
This looks just powerful my friend! Absolutely gorgeous film!
Did you visit the state park while you were there?
Yes. The state park and national seashore are right next to each other.
You spelled Matanuska wrong. You aren't much of an authority if you can't spell.
Thanks for pointing that out. I went back and fixed it.
60s for me , just a kid....we live in Juneau , 6 years... makes me smile to see this
Id never do this
Thank for the videos! My buddies and I are kayaking novices, but I have been using these for adventure ideas in our area. Would you say that the rapids for this segment (Brunswick to Point of Rocks) are no more than Class 1? We are looking to do this casually with camping in June and we all have Sit-on-top yaks not really rated for whitewater beyond that.
There is hardly any rapids from brunswick to point of rocks esspecially in the summer. Nothing worse then class 1 it's a good section for sit on top boats.
@@theadventureswithben I appreciate the quick reply! Thank you, and happy adventuring!
Good stuff man I’m a Fairbanks local and I’ve been looking into floating the teklanika recently
Definitely a fun time floating the tek. Stay safe out there as you probably know the rivers can be unpredictable.
Feaga Island ahh thumbnail
How do you stake your tents to the deck?
You use a lot of duct tape and tape them down.
For a better vid fix those rattling cables
Hello from Pittsburgh. How loose are the trails there east of the divide this early in the season? We typically have muck until mid April.
Trails have been hit or miss latley. We had 2 weeks of warm and dry weather so it was good but now we got a lot of rain so it'll probably be muddy for a while longer.
Awesome video man. I want to kayak the same thing too. I live in Leesburg so i trying to go kayaking everywhere. It would be so awesome to do that with you man. I love kayaking. I want to kayak from Point rocks to Algonkian Park in sterling. That would be fun to do too. This was a good video buddy. Thanks you for sharing it. Hope to met you on the water man.
your bike sounds like it's about to fall apart any second. Might wanna tighten some stuff up maybe?
All low-mid level Marlins sound like that. It's a combination of internal cable routing rattle and chain slap. His is a 2020 Marlin 6 which has a Shimano Altus rear derailleur which doesn't have a clutch so the chain will slap against the chainstay. Newer Marlins now feature 1x drivetrains which have a clutch on the rear derailleur. As for the internal cables, the solution to that is to route a foam sleeves (they're sold by Specialized bicycles) inside the frame tubing. Both upgrades can be done for about $300 in tool and parts. I did them myself to a 2019 Marlin 7 which came as an Altus/Acera 3x9 and is now a Shimano Deore 1x10.

What type of camera did you use when snorkeling? Did someone else film you snorkeling as I see you were using both hands to swim. Really cool shots!
I used a Go Pro Hero 10. Most of it I had my camera in one hand for but some of the shots I had my parents record my going under. Thanks for watching. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Haha that's funny. You thought you were driving the boat 7:56. Those pesky auto-pilots always shatter the dreams of young people trying to wreck the boat.^^
Interesting fact is the Matanuska does not have an auto pilot. Someone's job is to stay at the wheel and take commands from a navigator and captain. We were taking commands from the navigator port or starboard however many degrees and we could feel ourselves actually in control of the boat. They were assisting us as well so we didn't just keep going back and forth and trust me they took the wheel as soon as we started turning too much.
Why are the comments misspelled?! 😮😮
