Paddling some serious class 3 rapids in recreational boats (MRS 2p Adventure Pack raft, Perception sound 10.5 Fishing Kayak and Perception Swifty 9.5) made for an extreme adventure. We put in off of Old Frederick Rd Bridge and paddled about 4 miles through Patapsco Valley State park including ollea falls, suiside falls, and doughnut bend rapids. Mostly runnable class 1-2 at 230cfs with suiside falls being a class 3. We took out in Ellicott city with parking along the road past doughnut bend.
