This is a surprisingly good walk through on the steps to change a cater wooler. Sometimes it borderlines on an ASMR video, but that's just me lol. IMPORTANT TIP: Some water pumps are pipe threaded, meaning, the inlet tube may not thread on quite all the way! it's fine, just be sure to use teflon!

Great vids, Man. Got mine done. Little tip for not losing screws... I cut the flap off of a cardboard box and draw a diagram of whatever I'm working on. Stab the screws into the cardboard, in the location of the diagram where they came from. Easy to get the same screws put back where they came from. 👍 Thanks for posting, Sir. Very helpful! EDIT: Another little tip... If you don't have a compressor or canned air, an old, clean paint brush is decent for brushing away the dust.

That is CRAZY! it's fairly easy to change fuel pumps in these vehicles. Remember "BOOM AND YOUR DEAD!" just wait until your almost out of gas and change it out the right way. No need to play with your life like this!

Allot of measuring was done for accuracy as to not puncture the tank. But yes, one must be willing and careful ! I can now change the fuel pump in 20 minutes, allot easier than dropping the tank out on the trail or wherever as i keep a new spare pump under the back seat!

Awesome video man. I’m having this issue on my 96. Going to check the ground wires now. Alternators good Batteries good Checked all my fuses/circuit breakers/relays If it’s not the ground wire then I think all that’s left is the voltage regulator but now I can narrow it down. Thanks man

I just bought a fuel pump today for my 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4 it has 6L engine. I couldn’t find the fuel filter so it turns out it’s on the actual fuel pump with the pressure regulator. But I noticed it would never start on the first crank and always on the second crank. Then say I’m going 65 and accelerate to pass someone at 70 it stutters a hit until I press the pedal easier. I’m thinking fuel filter or pump so I bought the whole set at Autozone. I’m going to try to make it to work one more day then replace it Friday after work. Hopefully this resolves my problem. My check engine like came on twice but I had no way to check with the tester and I did a reset with battery which I shouldn’t had done. Now it’s a guess and hope it’s the fuel pump. I replaced the fuel injectors. I haven’t replaced the spark plugs I bought the Jeep about 2 months ago and fixed a lot on it. A few weeks ago the oil pressure kept dropping at idle so I got an oil change from a shop and still did the same thing afterwards. So i bought a oil pressure switch and now I haven’t had the issue since. I believe the other one was replaced recently but you could see alot of threads like they didn’t have it tightened all the way. Well thank for the video I’m going to attempt this repair tomorrow.

People don't bubba up your Jeep or any other vehicle this way. All the time you wasted on this you could have fixed it right by dropping the tank. What a disservice to Jeeps everywhere.

Yes sir, that sounds fun to me, out on a muddy off road trail, up to the axles in mud with my buddies behind me..I'll just drop the tank and fix er real quick..NOT.. More Lilley have someone winch my junk off the trail so others can pass...at least it will make memories that will last !

@@mugivermusclemachines5744 that's what you do when it's broke down is get it off the trail so others can pass. You certainly don't try to put in a new fuel pump in the tank so why not do it the right way?

It’s never the relay 😂 that’s too easy. I’m doing a 96 Jeep right now and that’s what I always do with my own vehicles is cut a little access door. Had a bad brand new fuel pump that was a defect in a customer’s vehicle. I had to drop the tank again and put another new one in. I couldn’t charge the customer twice wasn’t their fault but after that I cut an access panel

I know this is probably not going to sail in some mind's but there's actually restaurants using waste oil systems for their used fryer oil. Let me rephrase that. They use a cheaper setup for filtering their used fryer oil. And they just use like a Fram or other brand spin on oil filter. So instead of manually pouring hot or warmed fryer oil onto a filter paper or instead of buying a restaurant pumping system ($$$$$) they pump and filter at the same time and the oil could even be cold so the employee risk is practically nill. Restaurant owners know cold oil won't filter very fast at all but if it was electrically pumped it would. And then those expensive filter cones and flats are behind you. Just a thought.
