The Way to Native Chronicles
The Way to Native Chronicles
This channel features a variety of outdoors and hunting-related topics, ranging from how-to videos on native crafts, wall tent camping, moose hunts, field preparation of game, trapping, use of drones, reloading and aspects of casting. Because I'm usually up to something, content is added frequently, but not unless I feel I have something useful or interesting to deliver.
What sets this channel apart from the usual is due to my wife. "Treaty Indian" (Canada), her side of the family puts a different spin on the way we hunt, when we hunt (she can do so all year), how we camp and how we handle game for consumption - both for the table and for use clothing. She is skilled in the traditional art of making moccasins, moss bags and such.
This is complimented by being licensed trappers and having a trapline of our own. That gives us the supply of pelts needed for native crafts. For a look at our trapline you can check out the video entitled, "An Introduction To Our Trapline."

Couldn't think of a better time to mosey over and say Hello to you while you got a fire going. anyway, it's been a spell sense I stopped by. hope things are going good for ya. Peace dude. - Dave
Thanks Dave!
👍🏻
Thanks.
So with adhesive stick on kead weights can you melt it with the adhesive on it yet? Will that jsut burn off or will that ruin your lead?
I believe its time for businesses to rely on a better option than CSAAA
For sure!
Very beautiful I love these tutorials 😍
Thanks, that's nice to hear.
While Trudeau invited a Nazi into parliament.
Hey !! Surprised to see you again. I used to watch your firearms videos and wondered where you got to. I'm looking at another tracked vehicle but after 3 ARGO's, I really don't want to go that route again. I actually hate them now. Over priced BS plastic outfits that break axels whenever you put tracks on them. Without tracks, they get high centered because they don't have any clearance. The stock tires work well in water but in mud ... you're done. Good to see you're still around! Thanks for the video!
Glad to hear you've found me again, thanks! Very good points about the Argo. I 100% agree.
You look like you could be one of my great aunts or distant cousin lol are you related to any Moores or Turners
Sorry, but I have no relations matching those names.
Nice quad good video looks chilly there
Thanks and, yup, it can get chilly alright! Just gotta dress for it.
Hi i am watching this for fun and thanks for sharing your moccasins method on how to make them already know about thanks again and good luck with everything
You're welcome and thanks for the comment. All the best to you as well.
all i'm saying is some machine guns required the use of lubricated cartridges
Interesting. Thanks.
Thank you so much for your video. What tribe are you from
You're welcome. From the "Dene Tha" in northern Alberta.
Good stuff. I take young students out trapping wolves and other critters and document it all on my channel
Excellent channel you have there! Glad to make your acquaintance.
Thanks for the video I came in on the borax melting video and was looking thru your playlists and seen this and I have already seen most If not all them questions on KZread how to make meth How to make pipe bombs so for them to tell you it is a violation is bogus but they still have videos up but it is all in the wording your an old school teacher a good one at that and go in depths of what your doing and you explain what not to do so your safe doing it that is the violation they don’t want us to be safe there more dangerous that will stay on there. Just like with the question they say is ok to talk about how to make accessories a suppressor that’s most definitely illegal atf will be at your door just for watching that video😂 so that is hypocritical but boils down to how you word it if you sounded like a dumb blond on how to reload it would have passed but since your a great teacher and explains it so you don’t get hurt your flagged sorry blondes no offense intended just making a point keep up the great work brother
Heh. Good points.
@@TheWaytoNativeChronicles thank you for your uploads I pray you and yours are safe and happy. I hope I’ll be as self sufficient as you are one day. Have a good one brother
I have one of these but I can’t get the hammer out because the cylinder won’t lock if that makes sense
You have to pull the trigger all the way back first, in order for the hammer to come free. Click this link to see the spot in the video that's done: kzread.info/dash/bejne/eZ1kptqKZLjHmZM.html
how many trails are there>??
At about the 20 second mark in this video you'll see a map of the area you can refer to that shows all the trails.
Need help
May I suggest joining this Facebook group devoted to helping people with their remote starter installations? Go here: facebook.com/groups/2096631837230880/?hoisted_section_header_type=recently_seen&multi_permalinks=3887825941444785
I’m having some problems with wiring up the remote start. I follow everything you said, but I don’t know where you use the resistor at I have kids so I don’t have the money to take it to the shop so I’m trying to figure this out on my own.
Sorry to hear that, but this work was done by my grandson (who isn't available to help here).
OK, do you know the channel that he was talking about that show him how to do the bypass?

She is amazing. Are there any differences in black bear and grizzly bear grease? Love from Montana ❤️💛🖤🤍
Thanks. No great difference I can tell.
Noticed any performance increase
Yes, especially low end torque and easier starts.
Nice testing. All my old manuals recommend fillers for loads like yours, my modern manuals advise against it. How things have changed! I'd like to know if your testing reveals any practical accuracy differences at hunting distances - filler vs no filler. Many old articles swear that adding filler decreases group size significantly. If that holds true, I'm going to experiment with filler in my 45-70 loads from here on out.
While it's hard to come to definite conclusions of group sizes when iron sights are involved, I can attest to the fact that using filler results in more consistent muzzle velocities when using a chronograph.
Hey Don, thanks for putting this video together, super helpful! I have always enjoying making my own wax, but now that I got a Lyman I wanted to find a way to make the proper mold for the tube. This was the perfect ticket!
Glad it was helpful!
THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR LIFE WITH US! GOD BLESS!
Thanks and you're welcome Walter.
Got it back together but it won't cock.
Uh oh. Maybe try removing the hammer and putting it back in.
Well done. Thank you for sharing
Thanks and you're welcome!
You look like a lucky man to have married such a wonderful woman.
Thanks Mark.
Point blank sighting is something that only real hunters understand. And that you are! Good luck with your next hunt.
Thanks.
Fight hard canada. Look at us here in Australia. It's very hard to own any gun here. Even if you do own one you can't use it to protect yourself, even in your own home. You can't defend your self with any thing in your own home.
Thanks for the warning.
Nice to hear her rights were restored. I enjoyed the video very much. Thank you👍🏻
You're welcome!
She’s a killer!!!
👍
That's for sure.
That’s what I would like to learn is reloading
It's a very satisfying hobby to pursue.
Thank you! I'm from Alberta and never knew of this!
My pleasure.
Thank you so much for this elder, this is incredibly helpful to us reconnecting natives who's family's have forgotten or abandoned our ways. My Elisi always seems ashamed when I bring up the topic of our heritage or culture and I still to this day don't know why, but I am determined to get it back, beading is part of that journey.
That's real nice to hear (and also sad). Thanks for sharing that.
Speaking of trailers, did you fix those lights yet? LOL!!
Heh. Yup!
wish nothing but the best to your family!
Thanks. Best wishes to you and yours as well.
I really enjoyed this. Thank you
You're very welcome.
You in Edmonton
lol I just seen the garage cans I’m in Edmonton also and hate it
@@billy7805 yup, we're in Edmonton.
That is a very nice revolver.
Thanks. I've had that one for over 40 years now.
👍🏻
Glad you like it.
Sweet that you get to carry a sidearm My buddy was attacked on his trap line and he was still denied permission to carry
There's a lotta hoops you have to jump through to get authorization, but I'm determined to make use of the rights the government allows for - even if they make it difficult.
Been doing this for years Old enamel or porcelain drum work very well My next one will be stainless Edit: washer drums all ready have vent holes
Cool!
She is so beautiful
Thanks. I agree!
Ah nice! I have the same, but use it a little different! I put my turkey fryer inside the drum , a little safer when Iam melting lead down for casting! You’s have a great fire pit, enjoy the summer!
Interesting. Thanks for your comment Joseph.
Once the paint burns off it's good to go 👍
That's how we look at it too.
Fascinating, thank you so much for sharing. Many blessing to the both of you and family.
Thanks and you're welcome Winnie. Same to you.
Of course you're allowed to help, who told you that.
A Conservation Officer. Told me that could be interpreted as actively participating in the hunt. Mind you, the remark in the video was made rather lightly.
Is that down towards cadomin
@@billy7805 it's down that gravel road coming from Robb.

Have a nice day Jude.
Pretty awesomee women much respect
Thanks.
I never did understand the concept behind a mares leg rifle
It's often a compromise solution for Canadians who are not permitted to take a handgun in the bush and need something compact.
