About Wolves and How To Trap Them Humanely (4K)

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This is the first in a series of videos from the "Wolf Workshop" course offered by the Alberta Trappers' Association. Not just trappers, this material should be of interest to anyone trapping and for wildlife enthusiasts in general as well, as it delves into less-known aspects of wolf behaviour few people (aside from trappers) are aware of.

Glad to hear that Henry. There should be a link at the end of each video, leading you to the next in the series. There's a lot of info there, so I decided to break it into 10-15 minute chunks.

Awesome, thanks! I had wolf tracks yesterday, first time this winter❣️ I put them up on my channel for y'all.. it's a lobo running my driveway same as last winter. I'm near the wild Bison (vids on my channel) and there's always Caribou nearby at Donnelly Dome (I'm near Mt. Hayes/Denali) Blessings 🇺🇲🌎🇨🇦

Excellent series to get out there. Management needs to happen so make it as humane as possible and keep learning. I farmed in central Alberta. Scared away many coyotes and chased a wolf once, but never had to shoot any. May have been different if we didn't have good stock dogs.

Thanks for your comment. I agree wholeheartedly about the need for humane methods. In order for wolf trapping to survive (with snares especially), it's essential it be done the right way or else the citizenry (and activists) will be able to persuade the government to make it illegal. I'm very proud of what the Alberta Trappers' Association has done (and continues to do) with the development and testing of traps in order to protect this important wildlife management tool.

I don't know too much about her but, based on her advocacy, I'm not terribly surprised to hear something like that from some.
