Beautiful!, I’m always late to the party but are you getting those inks on the parts you’ve already colored?
Yeah, a little. But being careful around her skin areas. It didn’t affect the colored parts that much. 😊
What a beautifully detailed tutorial. Thank you!
You are so welcome! 😊👍
Your backgrounds are gorgeous! Running to your other videos now! ❤
Glad you like them! 😊
Your work is beautiful! What did you use to seal the pages? I love the glossy look. is it a sealer?
@@lindabrodney4958 Thanks so much!! I typically use Krylon workable finishing spray, it says it has a matte finish, but it does look shiny. 😊
Thank you so much. I will pick some up next time I am out. I got a fixative spray and it kinda dulled my piece with a whitish film so I was so excited to see your beautiful finish. Thank you for the tip. You have a lovely sense of color with your work. I love it.
@@lindabrodney4958 Thank you! Yeah, they usually carry that spray in most craft stores and on Amazon. 😊👍
You’re work is just gorgeous!
Thanks so much!😊
Can anyone tell which Posca tip size that is? My lines always look fatter than that. And more sloppy.
It’s the extra fine, PC-1M size. 😊👍
@@jenscoloringcorner did you treat the paper at all before putting watercolor on it?
@@2robdot No, I just didn’t use very much water.
@@jenscoloringcorner ok,thanks.
Your work is so beautiful! What do you use for a solid black background?
Thanks! I usually lay a first layer of black colored pencil down then a second layer of black posca pen.
And are you spreading the color squeezing your watercolor ‘brush’ and do you ever use a heat gun AS you work?
Maybe squeezing a little, but being careful not to over saturate the paper. I did not use a heat gun, since I wasn’t using much water, but I suppose you could. 😊
Do you Gesso your pages before you start?
Nope. I don’t care for the results I get when I use Gesso. I just use very little water. 😊
Do you mind if i ask WHAT are the results with gesso. I keep peeling the paper (heavy cardstock). I LOVE your work and thank you.
@@64cindymarie Sorry, just now saw this! The gesso leaves lines and that shows up with whatever medium you use. That's why I don't like it, but of course that's just my opinion. You should try it if you're interested and see what you think. Maybe you'll get better results than I have. 😉
Absolutely gorgeous pages as always Jen 🤗🥰🤍
Thanks so much! 😊🫶
This is gorgeous Love the colors you chose.❤
Thanks so much!! 😊

What do you use to prevent colored pages from fading after framed?
This process is to protect the colored pages. you can then frame after you have sprayed the fixative. If you have a page that is already framed, you can simply remove it from the frame, spray the fixative and allow it to dry completely, and then reframe it. Hope that helps.
fantastically beautiful❤️
Thank you! 😊
Jen! Love this page. So excited to use the tips you shared on my own grayscale pages ☺️ Thanks so much for sharing!!
Thanks so much, Erica! So glad to be of help! Have fun! 😁👍
Thank you. I just purchased these - wondering how you store them?
Great! The packaging says to store horizontally, so I store them horizontally just in a little plastic bin/container. 👍
So do you do this before OR after you color or both?
This is to just preserve your coloring. So after.
Beautiful pages! Love each one! ❤I"m going to have to add some of the books to my wish list. 📄
Thanks!! 😊
Beautiful work!!! I would love to see content from Sara Szewczyk's Spooky Book
I’m not familiar with that book, I’ll have to look into it. 👍
❤wouah superbe
Thank you!! 😊 🙏
I love everything about this tutorial 😍 I learned soooo much. Many new techniques for me. I messed up the pages with a distress ink huge spot 🤔 but managed to correct it with bokeh white neo II effect. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge 💙🙏
You are so welcome! 😊 Glad you enjoyed it!
hello what is the name of the chanel for mandalas please ? Corinne
Hello, I don’t have a separate channel for mandalas, but I do have a playlist though. If you look under my playlist, I have one that is simply named Mandalas. 👍
Hello I love your pages so nice. Can you tell me the name of your pencils please because I am french and I didn't understand when you said it. Merci beaucoup et magnifique. Corinne
Hello! I used a few different pencil brands for the different pages I showed here. The main pencil brand I like to use is Prismacolor, but for a few of the other pages I have used Scpirrer Farben pencils. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching all the way from France thank you! 😊
Magnifique Corinne
Thank you!! 🙏 😊
Absolutely gorgeous, I agree about the Kuretake watercolours, however the set I have is one of the originals when they first came out and it doesn't have that luscious colour of dark green that you used. I am still trying to finish my picture (still haven't done much due to my arthritic wrist and thumb), but I will get there at some point lol. Tfs xo
Thanks Elizabeth! Yes, this is a new set that Kuretake came out with about a year ago. It’s called the Art Nouveau set. It has a whole set of just gorgeous colors that are not found in the other sets. 👍😊
Amazing pages, Jen!! You have one of the best eyes for colour of any colourist I've seen. :)
Aww, thank you!! 🙏 😊

Aww, thanks Amanda!! 😊🫶💕
So beautiful how do you keep your colors so vibrant seems like when I try to blend it fades and sometimes gets muddied up kim😊
Thanks, Kim! I use Gamsol for blending most of the time. I do have a video on how I like to use Gamsol mineral spirits, if you are interested. And my favorite pencils for blending is the splendor blender. Hope that helps! 😊
Beautiful pages 💗 💜 💗
