Seasons | Collecting Crystals Part 2 | Neocolor II and Prisma's | Color Along

Today's video is part 2 in coloring this double page spread of these cute mice collecting crystals from Seasons. I have used Prismacolor pencils from the 150 set and Neocolor II's from the 72 set. I've also used Gamsol and a Splender Blender for blending pencil work. Thanks for watching!
~Neocolors:
Periwinkle, Beige, Van Dyke Brown, Greyish Black
~Tombow waterbrushes (I am mostly using the medium size in this set):

Thank you so much! It is a color, combination I came up with years ago and like to use it every once in a while, when I remember! 😊

Wow, you are definitely the Queen of Colour Combo. After watching you now for a few months I've tried to keep my palette to lesser colours than I used to, but mine either seem to blend too much together and you can't see any difference of shading or I still get the initial colours wrong and use too many. As I said I've only been colouring for about 5 years lol. The more I watch you the more I am convinced that Prismas are the way to go and not these cheaper pencils I keep trying out. TBH I could have bought the 150 set for what I've paid out this last year alone, well never mind, guess I'll live and learn - hopefully lol. Tfs xo

Thank you, Elizabeth! I do try to keep my colors down to just a few and work with different shades within those same colors. It makes the page look more cohesive, I think. But it has taken me a long time get that down. I do think Prismas Are the best. I have tried the really expensive ones and the more budget ones and I still go back to the Prismas. They really aren’t that expensive if you look at other pencils in the pencil world. And I like the fact that they are open stock and I can just go and pick some up if I’m running low at my local craft store. With those budget pencils, you have to buy a whole set to replace any and the way I go through pencils I need to be able to have them open stock. Thank you for watching and all your wonderful comments! 🤗🙏

@@jenscoloringcorner Thnx for your reply Jen, oh how I wish I lived in the US, sadly not, so open stock for me is around £8/£9 per pencil. x

I have a newbie question, are the Neo 2's like crayons but better? Would you use them as you would a crayon?

Hi! Neo II’s are not similar to crayons in that they are meant to be mostly used as a wet medium (in my opinion ). I mean you can use them dry (I use them that way sometimes for creating special effects over pencil work). If you are new to Neo II’s, I would suggest looking up videos on how to use them. They are really meant to be applied to the paper dry, like a crayon, but then activated and blended with water. If you leave them dry and color with them like a crayon, they will smudge and smear onto the opposite page. I have a video on my channel that might be helpful to you. Hope that helps! Let me know if you have other questions. 👍😊kzread.info/dash/bejne/rIZ5tqOgh5q2dNI.htmlsi=MK37zmOTYJ4uqJpG
