Gorgeous! I love this color palette. It’s nice to hear that you’re hoping to complete this entire book. I’m always mystified when colorists have 100-200 books; half are untouched and the other half only have 1 page completed. Keep up your great work.

Wow! Gorgeous. I'm going to try and muster up the courage to try your wet-on-wet technique. I always worry about bleed through on the page in Hanna's book, even though I know that they are thick. Thanks for sharing. 😊

Thank you!! Yes, I was always concerned about doing the wet on wet technique as well. But after I saw Karen over at My colorful country life do it I felt more confident about trying it. I still tried not to go too overboard with the water though! And I only wetted down a little area at a time. 😊👍

I really love the background! The colors & the look!! You can also iron your pages by spraying the backs of the pages w water & putting paper between them & then put the book under something heavy for a day or 2. The pages come out perfectly smooth!! I was going to use an iron but I wasn't sure how the heat would affect the wax in any color pencil work on the page. Is that a problem for you? I'll have to watch your ironing video! Thanks

Thank you I love the way this page turned out, too! As far as ironing… Here is what I have discovered… First of all, I think it’s best to iron before you lay down any pencil work or any other mediums. That is the safest way (creating your background first, then ironing before you put on any other mediums). If you do iron with pencil work, which I have done in the past, make sure your iron is on super low heat, no steam! I found that it did not affect the pencil work at all, even if it’s a wax-based pencil, which I use most of the time (Prisma’s). Of course, I place a blank sheet of copy paper on either side of the page while ironing. I hope that helps. I will try to get a video out on the subject soon. Thank you for watching! 😊
Once again, another absolutely gorgeous coloring page by you! I’ve learned so much watching your videos, and you have improved my coloring techniques. I’m always worried when I use my watercolor paints that I’m going to wreck the page that I’ve worked on behind it or even if I press too hard with my prisma colors I worry about wrecking the already finished page behind it. I tend to be heavy handed, but I love my prisma colors and the way they blend… do you ever have bleed through to the page behind or imprints from coloring too hard? I’ve noticed you’ve mentioned in your videos, that you are also somewhat heavy, handed as well with your coloring. Thanks for all the great videos!

I would love to know the answer to this too. I am currently working in this book and my seems to bleed through and even pill the paper.

Thank you!! Yes, I am very heavy-handed as well! I always put a plain piece of copy paper behind the image that I’m working on to avoid color transfer. 😊
I think I didn't hear any of this on the video..I would like to know if you primed your pages with something? Gesso? Satin glazing? Or no?

No priming. I just started painting. 😊
