It is actually 75 miles from Marathon to Athens, and he ran for almost 12 hours until he arrived. The 26 mile 385 yard course we use today, was from an English routes around Buckinham palace (?) configured so Queen Victoria could watch the entire race from one portico.

The Regulator War was NOT a rebellion against the British Crown. It was a rebellion against corrupt NC officials, who were also North Carolinians. The Regulators sent several letters to the King of England clearly stating they were loyal British subjects and they needed help to fix the corrupt local officials. It was also not a Highland Scots movement. It was a poor backcountry settler movement composed of English, German, Scottish, and Scots Irish.

It is a mostly informative video but Obama's heritage past connections go stone cold in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas. He does have a few living distant relatives in those hills as others have pointed out. The acknowledgement is elsewhere, it seems, per this history lecture. I am sure he remembers visiting Arkansas on one occasion though. The before and after political poll swing of Senator Pryor is the tell. Going from appreciably ahead to behind simply by standing around in the President's proximity was enough to convince him not to ever return, I guess. Do the Irish have an submission complex for Obama and the "woke" in addition to the other submissions? More of the same for the near cult like demands of the politically correct? Did the community organizer lead the way to the promised land 2.0?

It appears to me that way too many of the Linguistics Scholars have been oblivious to the Substrates or Underlayers of Celtic Sounds still lingering among the assimilated ones who no longer speak Celtic Languages. FRENCH & Portuguese are Highly Nasal and Cuba was heavily populated with immigrants from the formerly Celtic Galicia in NW Spain. Celtic NASAL TONES are very common in Cuban Dialect Spanish. I can't believe that the Hellenized Celts were any more Slackers at Spreading their Twangy Sounding Rhymes and Adaptions of Greek Singing than the English Language Assimilated Celts, Many of them ending up in Appalachia and spreading news around in Ballad Forms. I Highly Suspect that the Hellenized Celts impacted the sounds of ANATOLIAN GREEK SINGING Far beyond their own numbers. Just listen to REBÉTIKO and early LAIKO in Greek Pop Music.

Among ANATOLIAN GREEK Refugee descendants who were pushed out of Turkey, there many who talk and sing in very very strong Celtic NASAL TONES, as strong as any American Hillbilly or NASAL Twangy Texas Country Music Singer. The GALATIANS were Pre-Latinized Celts and were Ancient Cousins to American HILLBILLIES.

I just made a video and visited this place that over 200 years ago, a group of farmers from North Carolina came together to form the Regulators. Fed up with high taxes and corrupt Royal officials, the Regulator Movement lasted for several years ending with the hanging of six of its leaders in Hillsborough, NC. They beat and destroyed the local judge Fanning, Edmund home now a museum, and dragged another man throughout the streets name William hooper a founding father of our country I think this event made Mr Hooper trade sides I did a video at this place on a military button, and a tour of the museum and flagged Mr Hoppers grave it's all on my channel if you'd like to see

Lol y’all tripping imma need you to read “the old cheraws” the negro mulatto gangs coming from va that where freeing the slaves burning land and cattle. These people under Gibson where called the regulators. These settlers where struggling writing the king talking about this constantly! An the majority of these people trac back to American Indians! Most of them where later known as tories. Imma need for y’all to look at the saponi diaspora and the free people of va that migrated down to this area! The Welch and scotch settlement shows who the people was and where they came from most of the people where French and Spanish Jews also known as hugenots.

And what is a Scot? The Scots were originally a Tribe of Gaelic Irish speaking people of Ireland who invaded the northern part of Britain, defeated the Britons, fought the Picts for a couple of centuries and finally merged with them, and thus "Scotland" was created. So you all are Irish, sort of. Sorry! Scot is latin for Irish Scotia Scots Gaelic is known as Erse Phonetic for Irish Whiskey is Irish even the very word. What you think you know about Scotland is more a Hanoverian Victorian invention including the BS family kilts.

WHY did you add so much time to speach of Obama. That's an insult because he Claims to be American. And not that he claimed to be """black""" which he wasn't. Remember he had Speach writers and he was an oritor. Fancy speach and NOTHING else. He NEVER claimed his mother's side of his family unless I made him look better. In his eyes. Look in his unedited books. He Hated America. And didn't live here most of his life. I'm offended by even putting his speach in this . Was not rellivent to the meaning of redneck OR Hillbilly. How DEGRADING. I'm ashamed of you.

Funny enough. A bigger and taller version of the hat was a common headgear for the nobles and royalties of Iran during the Sassanid era. Sometimes, even the emperor (Shahanshah) granted those of the "to come of status" the hats in order to make their positions officially recognised by the court.

My only caution for Elon Musk is to be conscientious of the next Carrington Event. Back in 1859 it played Havok with the 1859 technology of the telegraph lines. Even when the telegraphs lines were OFF, they still had power from the Carrington Event, even generating sparks and fires. Current technology in 2023, such as Artificial Cardiac Pacemakers or Neuralink technology may present disastrous electromagnetic results on their biological host. It's hard to say if any other technology would be affected, but I strongly suspect yes.
