Driven Trucking

Driven Trucking

Welcome to my educational New Truck Driver Channe!! I’m an open deck trucking owner operator driven to succeed. Making trucking videos has become a passion of mine. Being a Trucking KZreadr has opened my eyes to a world of creativity and fun I didn’t think was possible. I share the road with my girl, a Kenworth T660 that I have upgraded here and there. Currently I work for Landstar in the Open Deck Trucking division pulling my 53’ Reitnouer Low Pro Step Deck . I love this Step Deck but maybe someday you’ll see an RGN behind a new Peterbilt 389!! Thanks for trucking by my channel and I hope you enjoy my trucking videos and trucking vlogs!!!

Was a mechanic for about 12 years. Automotive, Diesel, heavy equipment, small engines, all sorts of stuff. Recently decided to switch to trucking, transporting heavy equipment for the local CAT dealer. I’m starting at damn near what I was making turning wrenches. If the only trend is up if you put in the hard work, I think I’ve made the right move. Thanks, Driven Trucking. 👍🏻

I will never lease again. I ran close to 3000 miles and my check was $58.49 after deductions. Hirschbach is a scam.

They should really be checking for English proficiency to get rid of the excess capacity by the flip flop mafia taking loads for nothing.

I've noticed drivers wearing flip flops more these days and I'm not even a driver, I just see more and more of them at Loves and Pilots.

A company tells me to do something that I don’t feel comfortable doing the answer is ALWAYS Absolutely NOT and it’s ALWAYS for safety reasons. If it’s not safe I don’t do it, period. They never like it but I NEVER go ANYWHERE or do ANYTHING that I don’t feel comfortable doing. If they want to fire me for sticking to my guns on safety then that sounds like a legal issue on their part…

Ive never had a problem with Banning. Although i quit going to CA 6 or 7 years ago. But last time i did i was heading to Ontario one night and Banning wanted me to come in. So as im pulling in theres an arrow pointing to pull around. I thought okay its my time i guess. I start easing around and i see a flashlight start bobbling toward me. So I stop. And an officer says sir we forgot we had the arrow on the pull around. But you can go on your way. Thank you sir. Last time i was out there in CA.

Company sucks…. I do feel that a new driver should get experience first and lease purchasers vs owner operator is a weird beef 😂 we both have to pay for the truck gas and maintenance…. We just connected with a company for finding loads…. And you can decide where you want to go and what load you want… that’s way better than a standard company driver… it’s a gateway to being owner operator and yes WALKAWAY IS the best option…..

The biggest lie is about pay expectations. Ask how mileage is figured and use some basic math skills to figure possible outcome.

I gave over 3 years of my life to trucking that I will never get back. Missed 3 years of my kid growing up, lost most of my friends, and almost got divorced. The pay isn't worth living in a box and having your life controlled by some dipshit behind a desk. Imagine having to ask for permission to go home for a few days out of the month for a place you pay for lol.

Trucking companies nowadays just hire straight-up foreigners who speak NO English and can't even read road signs. Becoming a truck driver nowadays is basically like working for McDonald's!!!

So what is a fair % of load to negotiate as newbie or as veteran? If you don’t own the truck, who’s insurance pays for accident if one happens? A drivers PERSONAL insurance covers accident, not company? What liability does company have?

Something I can’t figure out is when I see people going through LONG truck driving schools. I just went down to the DMV and took the CDL test. Then I got hired, got put with a trainer for a few weeks, and was off and running. The whole process took wayyyyy less time than truck driving school.

What i dont get is why any new driver would belive a driver manager or dispatcher when profits over people is always the way of it lowest man on the totem loses but if you get into this industry with a plan and realistic expectations then you should be fine
