I love going on Road Trips. On the road to new destinations through a state I've never been to before is exciting.
I am a coaster junkie so heading to a theme park for the first time to ride the coasters is my favorite destination. I also love animals, visiting all the different zoos in each state I visit is a definite highlight of any road trip. Aquariums are a fantastic stop for me to see and learn about all the aquatic wildlife we share the world with.
The highways throughout the USA are filled with quirky road side attractions. From Ripleys Believe It Or Not to the unique stops, sometimes I don't know what I'll find until I see it.
I tend to start planning my road trips months in advance. So zi tend to have an idea where I'll be going to at each state I visit. At times something doesn't work out and that gives me a chance to check out a bonus attraction. The more road trips I go on, the more I want to do. Thanks for sharing my adventures with me.

I'm going this week in 18 days so I'm going to have a lot of fun I'm super excited😊😊😊😊😊😊😅😅😅😊
Utica Zoo has a bald eagle that can fly quite well .
Great video! Sad that the gibbons weren't out in their habitat. I totally understand! I wouldn't want to be out in that hot weather either if I was an animal! How hot it's been lately around the United States and maybe overseas too, I don't know. I just feel so sorry for the animals and the people that went to the zoo that they can't see the animals I understand 100%.I know they can go inside their night time enclosure. How hot it's been, I wouldn't even go outside!! I hope and pray when you go on your road trip in August that it wont be so hot for you and the animals! I hope you get to see all the animals on your roadtrip. I wonder if it gets so hot are they going to close the zoo early like they did on your last year trip? I hope not for you since you drove so far to see them. But if they do I know you'd understand.
Thank you so much for showing the entire tour of the glass bottom boat. I went there many yrs ago and it was wonderful seeing my memories of it were still quite vivid and accurate.❤
The glass bottom boats are the last remaining remnant of the original Silver Springs before it became a state park. I remember going there as a child, the boat tour was the best part. I'm glad to hear you have fond memories of going years ago.
Congratulations on your 100th zoo!
Thank You, it's taken years to accomplish
The white mini horse is named cotton and she bit me... a kid said she bits hoofs at the fence all day and wants treats but the brown one is really sweet and loves pets
Thanks for sharing a bit about the horses 🐎
Taxidermy doesn't bother me anyway. I got used to it and love it.
I added the disclaimer so anyone watching would be aware of the content
Amazing Video Tom! Also, you should check out the Monterey Bay Aquarium in Monterey, CA and See the Whales and Dolphins are Marine Mammals.
Thank You, I'm glad you enjoyed my tour. I did go to the Monterey Bay Aquarium during this same roadtrip. Stay tuned for that tour coming up soon

I'm amazed you had emojis for all of them
That bridge went to a raging river but a kid died on the ride so they had to close it, but they still have a whole water park.
Thank You, I found that out from other viewers. I'm curious if they will demolish the existing raging river attraction and build a new updated water rapids. I appreciate the information
@@TomsRoadTrippin I think they might add a new water attraction but I personally would love a good roller coaster, I’m from Iowa so I can update you if they do anything with it unless you’ll stay updated with Adventureland
Yes if you hear anything I'd like to hear about it, Thanks

u can revisit next time hopefully the asia and elephant would be there
I'd like to go back again in the future to see the new area
@@TomsRoadTrippin yaa that would be fun
A better zoo than Washington D.C. zoo especially after many of their exotic animals are gone. Enjoyed watching, thanks Tom 👍
Both zoo's have their good parts, hopefully both will obtain new animals
Underrated zoo
It really is
that's a nice place and happy 4th of july
Thank You, I hope you had a nice 4th of July
7:07 that’s a water monitor btw
Did you mean the statue?
@@TomsRoadTrippin no, the real lizard before it. You can tell by its tail
@@Jgimple oh the one that was down in the water, only it's tail viewable?
Also before the Grizzly Bear exhibit it was the Polar Bear exhibit before they decided to phase them out
They moved several animals to other facilities to renovate portions of the zoo
They also used to have Sun Bears but not anymore
I always enjoy the Sun Bears, they are cute
@@TomsRoadTrippin not when you provoke them
Also before the current Lemur exhibit it used to belong to Mandrills
That habitat seems better suited for the lemurs
@@TomsRoadTrippin I think so too
Did you know that after the Elephants got their new exhibit it was temporarily used for Camel Rides but they shut it down after the Camels contracted an infection and that's how it became the Goat Exhibit
The goats definitely scored an upgrade when they got the old elephant habitat
@@TomsRoadTrippin they sure did
Also just to let you know Duiker is pronounced Diker
Thank You, I've updated the way I pronounce them
Always ❤ 2 see zoos new additions and expansions. Lazy lion laying on its back with feed against rocks
I always mention that when you support your local zoo, good things happen. New expansion and remodeling is always welcome, especially when new animals are added.
Grew up with this ZOO. In the 70s evert thing was in small chain link cages. In 76 a lion even sprayed my family as we were viewing them
My local zoo was much like that until it was basically rebuilt to a modern zoo. I am very glad that cages are a thing of the past at most zoo's. It should be the comfort of the animals that should come first.
Amazing Video Tom, The Habitats at this zoo look very natural looking. Also when you go on your Road Trip to the Northeast if you have time you should check out the New England Aquarium in Boston, Massachusetts because it's a very Gorgeous Aquarium
Thanks for the tips! I'll try to fit it into my plans
Is it just me or does all the dinosaur stuff seem like a waste of money?
Considering a big portion of guests to the zoo are children, I'd say No. Kids are generally interested in dinosaurs so it makes sense to feature animals of the past.
@@TomsRoadTrippin great point. I didn't think about the children's point of view.
@@joshhart4931 most places try to get the kids hooked when they're little so they'll keep coming back as they grow up
How long did you spend there? Debating on checking it out this afternoon@@TomsRoadTrippin
I spent around 5 hours, of course I was filming everything. You can get through everything in a few hours
Too disappointed that you didn't get to see Meru, Nandi, and Simba the elephants.
It was but I understand the need for repairs to the habitat
@@TomsRoadTrippin also especially that you missed the Elephants because did you know they have a cute baby Elephant calf
It's a Beautiful zoo ,Nice View
I was very impressed with the look of the zoo and habitats. The animals had stimulation and room to move around. Thanks for your comment
Marine mammals of Seaworld San Diego Sea otter Bottlenose dolphin California sea lion Orca ( killer whale ) Beluga whale Walrus
Lots of great sea animals there
Thanks for showing the park
You are Welcome, I'm glad you enjoyed it
The Monster looks AWESOME!
They have very good coasters there, the Monster was really fun
You should check out the Branson's Wild World and Aquarium at the Boardwalk in Branson, MO.
It was still under construction last time I was in Branson. I'll be back through there again and stop to check it out
A🐘 B
4:44 him having fun and this happened
Not sure why he felt the need to yell at me. It was the end of the downhill section, I was stopping when he said slow down
Unfortunately, animals at this seaquest are abused😢
Did something recently come out about this place? I've been getting lots of comments over the last week
I loved it
I really need to return to the Atlanta Aquarium to see their new area
@@TomsRoadTrippin yes that would be good
Lovely
I've been to this Zoo before
This is a fantastic zoo, I absolutely loved the overall design of this place
@@TomsRoadTrippin so do I
Also I remember you told me that its okay to give suggestions every once in a while but not constantly another question I have is it okay to let you know about attractions you should avoid or is that coming across as too controlling
If you see I'm considering going to someplace and you know something negative about it, it's alright to mention what you know
@@TomsRoadTrippin okay because I noticed on your itinerary that you were planning on visiting the DEW Haven Zoo in Maine which I have read reviews about that place and I read that they have their animals in small cages and the big cats look really depressed there have even been reports on them feeding the carnivores roadkill
One issue I ran into with Maine is the lack of animal attractions. This is the states only zoo and I'm not sure about the aquarium.
@@TomsRoadTrippin actually I did research and a decent Zoo I found was the Maine Wildlife Park near Portland to look into but if you would rather go to the DEW Haven one no pressure
I'll look into it, Thanks
