I had the same problem as Tom, Michael, and Knitt. Also, the computer refused to boot with the H1 connected. I resolved the problem by using a different USB port (even though the one I originally used works properly with other devices).

doesn't work. when i plug the H1 into my computer instead of the alternating audio/card screen i get a steady USB and the microSD never mounts on the desktop as an external HD.

I should have posted a follow-up before, but - as with most technical things - I don't understand what happened. But it worked for me. All I can advise it "keep trying." It didn't take a lot of trying, just several times.

I have the same problem, don't we need any drivers or updating the firmware? I can't seem to find information on their webpage

Hi is there any chance you would do a video about getting cubase and/or wavelab on to your mac I found the instruction manuals no help what so ever and can get the app to run at all on my macbook :( PLEASE

I get usb device not recognized on all of the PCs I've tried.

Can transferring data from this recorder also be done with an iPad? Also, it should be noted that the USB cable for the Zoom is a micro-USB cable.

Change cable if the usb/audio choice does not appear. With faulty cable, you go directly to Audio.

not sure if its same as Tom Babcock & Michael Dunn. i get the stereo folder but then inside there are only documents of the Wave software :( no files. You said on this video: where you chose your files to go. how do you do that? it says nothing about that on the manual! :\

I went out to make a small recording and found I had left my sd card at home, so I ended up recording a tiny bit onto the H1's internal memory. Unfortunately, the H1 only appears on the desktop as a card reader if there's a card in it! The internal memory seems inaccessible? Do you know how I can get at this one 35 second clip?!

You can insert an SD card in the H1 and the files will transfer from built-in memory to the SD card.

Doesn't work. When I plug the H1 into the computer it does not auto power on. After some time, when I power it on manually, it goes straight to USB power for recording but the microSD never appears on the computer and therefore I cannot retrieve the files. I should mention: it used to work just fine, and I did not (to my knowledge) change anything. Any advice on how to get it to work again?

Unfortunately we do not have any methods of recovering a deleted file.

same as tom babcock. steady USB and never mounts.

Don't know what I'm doing wrong but when I connect the H1 to a USB port, it doesn't even turn on. If I turn on manually, it seems to be using the USB power though. Any help would be appreciated.

It was the USB cable. It could charge but not transfer data. A new cable resolved the issue. Thanks!

Audio is much more quiet when moving files to pc. When listening with headphones connected to the zoom, the volume is normal

You will need to increase the Input Level on the H1. The output volume on the H1 will not affect the recorded file, only the input level.

Try e mailing to yourself after you downloaded the files to your computer. If you have a lot of files it might take several emails. There are several free file transfer sites you can use. Usually limiting the max size to 2GBs.

+James Blackwell you muct plug it in when its off and only turn it on once plugged in,, Im on 10.11.3

+GlenStace Same with me. The video advises (if autoplay doesn't appear) to open Start and choose Computer to get to Devices with Removable Storage, but the device doesn't appear there for me.

+Daisy Jane Hi Daisy, Thanks for writing. Yes not satisfied with Zoom and my computer. The Cubase CD that came with the recorder does not work either. My computer won't accept it. So the idea of downloading and mixing your recordings with the Zoom recorder is problematic if not a complete bust.

Well, I tried again and this time my computer did recognize the Zoom and I was able to open the files. I haven't tried the Cubase yet: when I'm feeling brave, I'll give that a go. Good luck!

You will not be able to transfer directly to an Android device.
