It actually is advisable when fighting multiple attackers to make sure you're on the outside so you're not surrounded and you can focus on less people at a time, but the issue is, if you're in a self defense scenario, if you do manage to get to the outside of the circle you should just run instead of staying to fight.

As dumb as it sounds thats by far the best strategy, because you have 4-6 people attacking you so ur already beat up when you try to run, and then you have a pretty high chance one of them is as fast or faster than you, but when ur circling they can't all hit you anymore. I mean ur chances are still pretty low but if they jumping in the first place they prob got that glass chin. Plus I've seen people do this exact thing before a few times and it actually work but I've also seen the opposite

I haven't been sick at all since the pandemic started, and I'm usually the sort of guy who's moderately hygienic but who still somehow catches every yearly strain of the flu. Not this time. So no matter if you're a believer or not, I'm masking up, keeping my distance and washing my hands. The new world that's been created could also end if things went entirely back to how they used to be - but having a father who used to work in Real Estate, I know that's not going to happen. Remote work is a new paradigm, and a fair few people realized that the old way of doing things wasn't ideal. More even decided to ditch traditional careers altogether and to create their own jobs during quarantine. The end of one thing, the start of another. I know another strategy (rhat I learned in a movie and used it and worked.. 😂) and wanted to see opinions about his "strategy" 'felt that something was wrong but could see what, the isea of keeping distance with every guy is good but turning around is spending too much energy and turning around like this you'll finally fall and be beaten.. The technic I learned and used isnt exactly learned and used: the idea is isolating the strongest and beat him then the otjers should be impressed and scared that you beat the strongest. My situation was a bit different and what I did to. They were 2 and I was drunk and a wall behind me. Behing drunk I started thinking of a strategy that considered my state. If one would punch me in the face I would be able to block fast enough, using a guard like in a boxing match (having the arms up to prorect my face) would have 2 problemes: 1 I give tje information and since I'm drunk I coulnd follow with adaptation to tje situation, and secondly, they can just hit lower (drunk, too slow to react), or make me fall with a "balayette" (dont know how to say it in english but you make the gut fall with your foot by pushing upwards his feet I think, you sweep his feet.) So I understood that I had to have my hands miway to the guard (face protection) without giving any information so I put my hand affront and give a false information, the information of bein a cool naïve guy so I was hands afrond saying "cool, everything okay.. bla bla) and there come the application of the thing that I learn from the movie: I stayed focus on the leader, the strongest. I dont know if he seen it but didnt try anything.. and the other guy throwed a punch, having my hands midway to protect the face (and having did a bit of karate) I blocked his punch without even watching him..😂, je was shocked.. and psycholgicaly.. (scuse my bad english) wasnt here anymore.. the leader understood that he was alone agaisnt me also gived up and flee..

Well depending on how it's done, that can actually happen if you are putting the person into a lock or arm bar. There are places you can press and push on, where the body will follow. The problem is, unless if you're trained you don't actually know where that is, making it a bit difficult to do. The other issue is the only thing keeping them on the ground is you. Yeah, you can hold them in a lock as long as you want, and if you do it right they will not be able to get out no matter what they do. But you still kinda need to then just sit there and wait for help to arrive, or just try running.

@@danh8101 So before anything else, you should almost never try this stuff unless if you are trained or absolutely have to. That being said, when you do certain techniques correctly, there is nothing an attacker can do to stop it or resist. It's all about locking up their body, getting leverage and putting them in a position where they can not get out, because their joints physically cannot move that way. If you know how to get someone in a good lock, I don't care if it's The Rock, the person isn't getting out. The biggest problem is getting that person into that position in the first place. That is where size and build can come into play, and sometimes you're just shit out of luck if you are small and the attacker is big. But in a 1 on 1 between two average people, the trained person can generally get the upper hand and put the person in a lock. And if you're fast and know what you're doing, it isn't too hard to get someone into a lock if you get an opening.

In martial arts both hands are used towards one arm for example, but is not supposed to be used to subdue or wrestling your opponent. Rather break or disable the extremity as swiftly as possible with the intention of taking out said person, or really hurting him. What the guy in the video shows is a fraction of a fraction to what is necessary in applying that technique in a situation. For one, to use such moves takes more than a 53 second video, it's more like years of training, experience, and practice. And I agree, as I saw the video, I thought, you could just let go, or punch him in the side of the head, which is what would happen if an inexperienced person attempted what he is showing in the video.
