Will always remember this. When I was a kid I did Karate, one of my fellow students asked what to do if they have a knife, the teacher told us that if you can't run (always the best option) is to aim for the wrist, block as fast and as hard as you can. I asked what to do if they have a gun, he looked at us seriously and said "you do exactly what they tell you to do".

Disarming _might_ work if the attacker never had the intention to kill you in the first place. Most of the time, they're only pointing a gun at you for monetary reasons. If you comply, then both of you will most likely go back home without a scratch. They don't actually want to kill someone and get life in prison. If you make a sudden move and try to disarm them, you're basically forcing _their_ fight or flight response. They'd either freak out and run (you may or may not successfully disarm them) or they might panic and shoot you instead. Personally, I'd just comply unless I know with high certainty that the attackers genuinely want to kill me. In that case, fighting for control over their gun would probably give me better odds than just running away since they could just shoot me in the back.

The hold at 7:35 is something you are tought in most self-defense classes. It does work, but not the way he shows. I did practise this with quite a few people. If someone really strong is holding against you, you have the advantage of what he calls "biomechanics" even though it's literally just leverage against the thumbs, but if they really hold you it won't be that fast, unless they are way weaker than you.

Maybe you should take the gun and shoot yourself, after all it's a bit rude that some stranger has to do it for you. Maybe they would be getting more pleasure out of shooting you than your displeasure of being shot, so overall, the world is happier.

My brother in the army says getting shot isn't like it is in the movies, and what really happens is the bullet just goes in without knocking you over, and adrenaline hides the pain for a bit and actually does give you a massive boost of strength, so people who shoot and don't finish the job actually do often get rushed. He's never been personally shot so I can't totally verify but I think that can check out. Regardless, being shot doesn't always immediately ground a person. I've also heard there was a guy who got stabbed enough to die in a bar fight, and he finished it up and drank his beer because he didn't realize it happened. I personally once slammed my face and knee into the street trying to make it to school on time, leading to a gushing gash and really painful ankle stiffness for days, but in that short time before it thinned out I ran a track field's distance feeling nothing.

Beware - Jesus will never walk in flesh again. After WW3 - rise of the “ man of peace“ from the East = Antichrist - the most powerful, popular, charismatic and influential leader of all time. Many miracles will be attributed to him. He will imitate Jesus in every conceivable way. Don`t trust „pope“ Francis = the False Prophet - will seem to rise from the dead - will unite all Christian Churches and all Religions as one. One World Religion = the seat of the Antichrist. Benedict XVI is the last true pope - will be accused of a crime of which he is totally innocent. "Many events, including ecological upheavals, wars, the schism in My Church on Earth, the dictatorships in each of your nations - bound as one, at its very core - will all take place at the same time." The thing is, technically, he is correct about the mechanics of his “tactics”. The main problem is that this type of stuff only works in training situations, where everything is controlled and the aggressor is just standing there not resisting your “defense”. In a real life self defense situation, these “tactics” absolutely will get you seriously injured or killed 99.99% of the time. Your possessions can be replaced, your life cannot. Just comply and continue living. If you survive the encounter, you have won. Most (not all) assailants don’t want to kill you, they just want something from you. If they wanted to kill you they would just kill you immediately, not “hold you up”. If you are going to fight back, these “ninja” moves are useless. You have to be ruthless and willing to do ruthless things. No thumb breaks or pressure points. You need to gouge out eyes, rip out groins, rip out throats, etc.

I took self defense classes for years, and I can say with absolute certainty that following his advice will get you killed. all of his videos are based around a stagnant attacker, and once you're in a situation where the attacker is moving and aggressive the people who used these videos as their only resource are going to panic and freeze up. it's why we taught techniques and practiced them with the other person actively striking out, so we are prepared for many different scenarios and can do the movements without much thought. that time you take to consider your options may be the difference between surviving or dying

And you think the criminal is smart or trained? Usually the criminal is a moron and/or desperate. They're not calm and collected, their heart is racing just as much. They are just as likely to fuck up when something unplanned happens as the victim. The criminals in these situations are very unlikely to be trained assassins. It's likely going to be some jackass with a gun that is just as flawed and untrained as you. But you are correct, basing your entire self defence training around protecting against only one type of attack is dangerous. If you truly want to know how to defend yourself you need to know how to do so in many different types of situations. Most of the time your best bet is to just gtfo lol.

When such a training is doing the attacker have to behave like attacker, I don't think someone is going to leave you take his gun so easy. I don't say the tricks don't work but it's strength needed for sure. I have been training such things for five years, as a 45kilos girl I managed to do such tricks to strong guys but there are some situations that when he really turns all the power you really need to be very strong as well.
