World Building with Boylei Hobby Time | Beyond the Blight mech kit bash and short story

Ойын-сауық

@Boylei Boylei Hobby Time and I picked a theme and each built a model for our fictional worlds. The mech was entirely kit bashed and the figure was designed in Blender and 3D printed. In the story, we go back to the very start of the blight, examining the event from the standpoint of a lumberjack.

⚠Regarding my recent TEMU collaboration:⚠ After many comments on my latest video warning about the use of TEMU, I began researching the app using news outlets and watchdog organizations. While it has proven difficult to find concrete evidence supporting some of the claims being made, there are certainly no shortage of complaints from their users. In addition, I have also personally noticed that I have been getting some strange texts after using their service. While it's impossible to definitely link these to the use of the app, I've decided that it would be best to act out of caution here, as I would hate for some of my users to run into any issues after using the app. Along those lines, I've done the following: 1) Written TEMU to reject their sponsorship payment (which was still pending as of this afternoon) 2) Explained my concerns and refused any future collaborations 3) Removed all download and product links from my video description and comments. Of course, the uploaded video cannot be edited at this point, but I am pinning this comment in perpetuity to warn users. In addition, regardless of what apps you use, it's a good practice to always scrutinize the permissions you give them to be sure you are not sharing more data than absolutely necessary. Stay safe, and thanks for the heads up everyone! Just wanted to say I appreciate and respect what you mentioned about tools. Too many folks these days, especially those not even close to getting their first grey hair, are lost when it comes to what "Handmade" or "DIY" truly is at it's roots. While 3D printers are a marvel of modern times and touted (rather carelessly) as "affordable", they seem to be just another tool for chipping away at self-reliance and learning to do with what you have. This is why I love seeing junk bashing. Not only is it making the disposable have a second life, but it's something anyone with little money can do. But it requires greater imagination and real hands on work. Problem solving in the physical world and adapting what you have or adapting to what you don't. And there's nothing wrong with using a printer or a computer or power tools. It's just nice to do some genuine "Old School" handmade to show those that don't have a budget that they still can. 👍

absolutely stunning. the details are amazing as always and the way you hid the wiring for the LED was genius! also, just an idea, but when you mentioned that it was hard to find 2 identical pieces when building like this, it made me think of using molding putty to make a small mold and then using apoxie to make a double. Take a look at the crafsman steady craftin - he does this technique a lot in kitbashes

Cool mecha, and interesting concept with the fungus. Not sure you know, but the average pine tree weighs around 2.5 tons so a quota of 10 tons is just 4 trees. Modern tree cutting can handle that in seconds not an entire day. Also, cutting a tree with some sort of laser would not work out well for all involved. The sap would flash boil into steam and explode and the tree would too, sending splinters everywhere. You'd also have a forest fire on your hands. I thought initially you were going to go with a Zoid Spinosapper design. I like the 2 toe approach. Nice greebles and nice set!

I'm continually blown away by the storytelling that goes with these builds! The builds themselves are incredible and the stories add so much. That final reveal left me feeling sorrow as this worker continues his job not knowing what happened to his friend or what he's being exposed to.

I am hearing Jim Parsons with your narration and I'm here for it! New subs here and will be waiting for more, for sure. You familiarity with toys and how you visualize them to work differently on a creation is what caught my attention. Also, your planning is chef's kiss not to mention your editing skills. 👏👏👏

Well done! The Little Flea build, and the Droid Vendor builds give a vibe very similar to the game of Kenshi, if you've ever head of it. In any case, SUPER well done! Well shot, descriptive narration of the processes. I love the idea of adding storytelling into the videos, it makes for a very entertaining watch. And the work you do on terrain is insanely good! Super super cool, very glad Boylei introduced us all to you! Keep it up.
