Sorry but David lost my vote with his refusal to stand up for the rights and freedoms of kiwis during the mandates. What is the definition of libertarian? Personal freedom. Don’t give me that BS about people at the protest causing trouble .. there are always trouble makers esp when you have that many people together in one spot, it’s inevitable. He lost a brilliant opportunity to show nz that he really walks the talk. Disappointing to say the least.

That ladies comment about her five granchildren is real Sean. My son and his wife won't send their daughter to school unless this is cleaned up. They plan to homeschool when she gets to school age if needed. I respect their decision. This is not the way to run a country. We also currently have some schools using substandard methods to teach reading which is creating unnecessary struggles for many children, while everyone pretends to care about children's mental health. The current Minister of Education acknowledges this but refuses to do anything about it. Parents have had enough.

This government has to go and we need all the right parties to work together for the benefit of all New Zealanders... there is no room for petty squabbling! They do not need to be in a coalition with Peters but his support in the house would be of great value. David needs to learn to put aside his personal attitude for the good of us all.

Just to remind everyone. This isn't the first time David Seymor has acted like this. David Seymor last year stated that he would need to be the finance minister as he seems to think they people who vote for ACT want him for this reason. David thinks he has the control and power. Even when Luxon told him no, David Seymor stated that would likely change if he went into a coalition. Is this not exactly like what Winston Peters did?

Its worth remembering that in these elections many voters are not so concerned about the BS that is being bantered around about policies especialy the labour patry's voter candy, the real issue that is on most kiwis minds is the absolute shocking way that the government, & that includes all parties, treaded the freedom movement that camped out on the partiment grounds back in Feb2022. We were against the mandates & the driconian way that the Jacinda led labour party treated its people.,. The police brutality & the shocking remarks coming out of labour party members plus the, anti the people, MSM spin BS.This is what we the people are now most concered about at the Oct 2023 elections. That the whole left labour led block is completely eradicated out of parliment.

Winnie talks the centrist, balanced talk well. Sounds sensible but with a keen eye for doing as little as possible. DS has a very real sense of the upheaval that is necessary to actually cut through the pandering to populism from all sectors, trim the sails and start tacking into the headwinds of current account deficit, ballooning debt, bloated and inefficient govt services, de-woking the country, putting the treaty genie back in the bottle, protecting the public from criminals, i.e. putting responsibility back on individuals. Winnie has had his chance and he wasted that with largely unmonitored spending. Outrage is the type of energy necessary to make that shift, to define the problems and chart a path out of this mess. Luxton is just as likely to look at the big data and sell our infrastructure projects to China, rather than make demands on NZers to lift their game. This is likely worse long term than Doolittle Winnie.

This is not the first time he has done this - If he disagrees with someone he berates them and tries to shut them down, that is not leader material and if ACT had any sense, they would kick him to the curb, I won't vote for them with him there - I observed him over the mandate issue and how he conversed with the public on his social media platforms, the guy is a narcissist and he keeps going on about trust which is laughable as he definitely can not be trusted - He's a snake and incredibly dangerous, I've never felt this about a NZ Politician before, but he is not a good person, there's something very wrong with Seymore.

What an interview. Today was a watershed moment for viewers of the Platform. We see the gorilla in all its glory. Act had risen as National fell. Now National is ascending, Act is falling. It’s nothing to do with NZF directly but a major tactical error from ACT in taking the middle ground for granted. NZF didn’t and as we saw/heard NZF is in many ways the natural friend of middle NZ. Seymore can bitch and moan all day, but early on nailed his manifesto onto the National campaign.. major mistake as we saw from todays Herald headline.. National and Act can govern ALONE. That wasn’t a typo but as they are seen. ACT are a wart on Nationals rump and not an independent political identity. Today Peters and NZF rose from the ashes.. we are in for a terrific campaign.

David Seymour is too emotional. He’s got an agenda and I don’t think it’s in NZs favour. I don’t trust a politician who has vehement emotional outbursts. National is just a blue Labour Party, they are just as woke, just as committed to co-governance, just as committed to the destruction of our cheap energy systems (ie, following the crazy ideology of the climate crisis pushers, who incidentally don’t have the backing of the vast majority of experts in this field). National won’t stand up and be honest in the so called “culture” wars. Their leaders is insipid, uninspiring, possibly a WEF acolyte and like a wet fish. Get a backbone Mr Luxon. Winston Peters values sovereignty, free speech and fairness. Simple and wholesome, none of other parties come close.

If he is not going to help Labour into parliament or support Labour in any way whatsoever. Be be totally honest & transparent Winston Peters needs to take an oath and put his promise to voters in writing, then sign off the oath that he will not support Labour any anyway after the next election. If he does not do that, I will also absoutely believe that once again Winston Peters can not be trusted.

Peters is all talk and zero action . He proved when he jumped into bed with ardern that he can’t be trusted . Seymore on the other hand actually understands the monumental task ahead to even start turning this sinking ship around . Seymore has no time for peters because he knows peters is trouble and self serving , peters has no time for Seymore because he know Seymore has his number big time .

The issues around winston and why he isnt suitable are 1.corruption he accepted payment of $100,000 for his lawyers fees from a labour party supporter at a when he was negotiating to form a coalition with Labour then he lied and denied it. 2. He gave us the current Labour government. 3. He never takes responsibility for what he does or answer difficult questions. Listening to him being interviewed is like watching someone wrestle with an eel. Personally I dont think he is as bad as Labour or the greens but he is still an undesirable politician
