Put the boats in private ownership as long as it is a competitive environment.

Road cones! At last! One of the last Gvt's worst enabled rorts. They dig a 1m trench around our streets, most of which are no exit, and the cones stretch for 200m in 4 different directions. Ten employees sitting on their fold up stools playing games on their phones for 7.5 hours on our dime.

Here's my take on road cones. To get the employment numbers up, Labour dreamed up a scheme to get maoris and Islanders out to work. So they employed heaps around the Country to place cones and stand around eating and cackling but doing little work. I drove from Kaitaia to Auckland late one night and there were areas of Country road lined with cones in the dips with no roadworks and 30kph signs. Also I drove through one at about 40kph when a cop came right up behind me out of some side road and ticketed me for speeding. It's often a set up

As New Zealanders we all enjoy having free speach, not confined to any particular day of the week.

Air NZ is owned by the government, but I don't see your commentators moaning about them. It's not the fact that it's government owned transportation companies, but who's running it, and those in charge.
