I continue to prepare my 2017 Toyota Land Cruiser for difficult off road adventures and family camping trips. In this episode I'm installing a Trail Tailor hidden winch mount and a Warn VR EVO 12-S winch.
After owning two other Land Cruisers, a 1997 80-series and a 2003 100-series, I now own the best of the breed -- the 2017 Toyota Land Cruiser. My needs have continued to change as I've gotten older. I have a family that I'm taking with me off-roading now, so comfort, convenience and safety are of my utmost concern. The 200-series Land Cruiser ticks all the right boxes: comfort, check; reliability, check; capability, check; safety... needs a little work. That is why I continue to prepare my rig with the right tools to safely take me and my family off-roading and camping. One of the must-have right tools for any off-road rig is a winch.
In this episode I install a Trail Tailor hidden winch mount, because I don't need a big heavy, steel front bumper and I love the way the late 200-series Land Cruisers look.
I did quite a bit of research and purchased a Warn VR EVO 12-S winch with wireless control and a light-weight, but strong synthetic recovery rope.
