Well brother, as cool as those decals are that mom made I do have to be Debby downer to inform you that it is highly illegal to have a vehicle marked as a police car (sheriff in your case) but if you are seen driving it on any public roads by an actual police officer they'll stop you and toe the vehicle to impound leaving you with a court appearance ticket for "impersonating a police officer" which unfortunately you cannot argue your way out of because you are guilty of doing just that by driving that car! Now I could just be singing in the breeze if you're never going to register it and use it for a show-only and race event type of vehicle because that you might able to get away with but I think you'd be doing yourself a huuuuge favor to contact a local law enforcement near you and just ask them before ya go taking it out on any public roads!

@@kevinAuman1 I’ve had another police car for about 7 years now. Same decals, red lights, etc. Never once had an issue. Always get thumbs up from county cops and state troopers. Even had an officer ask to take pictures with it in front of our local police station. I’ve driven it all over the place.

This turbocharged police cruiser would've been every foxbody or Z28 owner's worst nightmare back in the day 😅

I have worked under cars on gravel and black-top for over 25 years. The only thing that saves the day are large cardboard boxes. Refrigerators, washing machines, TVs, they all work to cushion your back and help you slide back and forth while under the car. If you don't spill stuff on them you can reuse them as they will last a long time. The next best thing are small blue tops from Harbor Freight. There's no cushioning, but sliding is much better over gravel and grass..

Heck yeah that car has came a long way and I Definitely dig the setup . That turbo whistle when u push it is everything and watching it lay down some Rubber easy.... you should take it and see what it will run at the drag strip. Also there is one of these cars identical to this car you have that is silver color with grey interior and leather bucket seats and beautiful grey carpet thats like soft as bear fur i say ive never ever seen carpet like that before , the whole interior is immaculate but somebody busted windows out of it so water is getting in when it rains now and dust from the junkyard .

If I had something that would use Chrysler parts like that or that I knew the seats and stuff would fit my vehicle's I would grab it but I don't have anything that would use those parts

For the ceiling in that car, there's a special insulated foam. Pad that's corgated for aviation. And it works pretty good, it's sticky on one side.

Car is looking awesome...I once wanted to experiment with some tan bedliner I saw to see what it could work for as interior repair. I had a 95 Dodge Ram 1500 with tan interior, the dash was cracked, and I was thinking of coating the dash, and if that worked out, maybe a headliner...Maybe it can strike your curiosity as well...either way, great work Dylan!!!

Awesome stuff, i enjoy your videos. I know a lot of people are a bit weary of the holley efi kits but ive had one on my 67 cougar thats powered by a 351 Cleveland and ive honestly never had an issue and its going on 3 years.

I'm very happy that you chose a Code 3 LP6000 for the lightbar, as it's pretty close to being period correct for the car. Personally I would have gone with a Federal Signal Aerodynic, or a Jetsonic, but the LP6000 is totally doable. If you ever have any emergency light questions feel free to ask me. I collect and restore them 😂

They sell that as a “self learning” unit. You definitely need to transfer learn tables and smooth it over. Aim for a mid to high 11afr in boost. Whatever that engine likes NA for timing , knock 1/2 degree down per psi of boost while in boost. 1 degree per psi would be totally safe if you wanna ease into it. You’ll need a laptop, a splitter, a Holley cable and the software to really dial it in. If you need any help holler 🤙🏻🇺🇸😎

I wouldn't rule the converter too loose until you can really drive it at WOT and see how it acts. I have a 3200 stall converter in my grand national and you can't feel it shift or see rpm drop while driving on the street because it's so loose. However at WOT it drops about 600 rpm on the shifts and bangs the gears like you wouldn't believe. Love the build!

A friendly word of advice 😄 Do not go down town and do a smoky burn out in front of the Sherriff's station even you grew up with most of the deputies. They know where you live. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I suffered my share of shakedown run blues with my boosted EFI setup as well, but man, I'm here to tell everybody, including the critic who commented about how carbs don't suffer from EMF issues.....there's nothing like boost with a working EFI setup, the tuneup never changes, regardless of elevation, barometric pressure or ambient air temperature. Cold starts and hot starts like a champ. Jesus and boost are the answers to life's problems.

I remember those cars from when I was a kid back in the mid 1980s, very cool automobile 😊❤️👍

In the 70's our Toronto cops ran the 440 Polara's then switched to the Diplomat when the Polara was ended.The Polara's could run down pretty much anything,Diplomat's couldnt catch a cold and we had a field day scooting off into the distance as they wheezed along :P Your Diplomat is nth degrees better than what our cops had :D

Noticed the carpets for the diplomat take a bit of work to fit, In Australia we could buy cut to size and moulded to fit most makes and models since the '80's.

The ECU is not swappable/replaceable in the throttle body? Is that planned obsolescence forcing thw purchase of a whole new throttle body instead of just an ECU?

Guess what? E.F.I., E.M.I. and even E.M.Fs... does not affect carburetors. Just saying... 😉
