Happy to be the man who sent you the email. Can’t believe you came out to Sheboygan and got er goin ! Can’t wait for the next video. My buddy who you bought it from said you guys were the nicest people. Love it !
Omg that mic cutout with fountain of brake fluid was perfect! This car needs more love than hopefully just this episode!
It looks to be pretty well put together from the video. I think you two should bring it all the way back. Headliner, working AC, etc. The 35's look great on it. Picture it with Cadillac quality and a set of steer horns on the hood like "Boss Hogg's". I would go so far as using Cadillac hubcaps and cutting holes in the front ones for access to the hubs! Of course this is just my opinion.

Oh look, you found the original Escallade!
My favorite kind of video: a Cadillac. This is extra special since they really went the extra mile to wire everything up inside and make it pretty much OEM as possible. That’s awesome. I’m wondering if the audio issue was caused by how loud the car is 😂 the microphone tried to cope and just couldn’t lmao

I like the fender flares they made for the car too. They took time with this build and didn't just dump a car body onto a 4x4 frame. I would totally drive it and the 35s make it look even better.

The first time shttylac have had a 4x4. Funny. This here would be more funny with Toyota drive line: 4.6L 4-cam 4-valve 326 hp, and 4 disc brakes with ABS. My six cents folks
I never understood carb rebuilds on cars untill I watched your videos, you taught me a lot about carb rebuilding! That’s why I went out the other day and got me a 59 ford fairline from market place! Got her running today, thanks keep up the good videos!

I did the same years ago. I didn't care what it was, I set out to find any 30s, 40s, 50s car what was complete to learn mechanics on. Ended up with a Plymouth Cranbrook that was parked away when its original owner died and just left to rot in a cow shed since the JFK era. Was able to follow repair manuals and youtube videos while having absolutely zero expeirience working on a car (but knew most of what everything was). Got the car inspected and running and driving. Took me about 3 months because I was learning as I went, and of course doing something wrong then having to re-do it again dozens of times. The engine block and cylinders were all in great shape and no problems, so it was safe to do a running restoration on it without doing a full teardown. The hardest thing was getting the cow odor out of the interior, lol it took sooooo long to get that clean. I can;t say I'd have the same success with a modern car with all the computer mumbo jumbo, but I at least have the confidence to try :)
I gotta say I recently took a job at a shop that does a lot of work on older vehicles and muscle cars and the like, and I'm so glad I've been binge watching your videos as I've learned a ton about carbs and mechanical tuning. You guys are legends
Sweet ride. My Mom is 72, and I am looking a going to the bar on Sat/ Church on Sunday rig for her. She is a pretty strong old girl, so power steering isn't that important. But the AC is a must. She sweats a lot without it. Can't have her going to church with a hangover all sweaty. So if you get the AC working, I would be interested in buying this sweet ride.
I knew a girl like Mook back when I was a highschool kid in rural eastern Oregon. They make em SO good in the country.

You only said "needs (to be) replaced" 3 times. Not bad your getting better. Keep up the good work.
AVS carbs are EASY to tune. Buy a "Strip kit" you will get BOTH jets and metering rods. Both are easy to replace WITHOUT taking the carb apart. After a little time with a strip kit I have never failed to floor any car without bog or hesitation.

Edelbrock (Carter) quick on-the-car idle circuit fix: remove the idle mixture screws completely. Stick the red tube on a can of carb cleaner into the screw holes and blast all the grit and debris out of the idle circuits. Reinstall the screws and bottom out gently. Back out 2 turns, start, and fine tune the mixture.

Ford 4x4 underpinnings with a Cadillac interior and turbine wheels. It is a horrible mutant but it is my kind of automotive blasphemy. The heater core is even hooked up. I would daily this.
That ether-on-the tire trick was probably the most violent one I've seen as the explosion literally sounded like a gunshot. Thanks for teaching me something I could use in the future when I have flat tires. Great Cadillac-Ford 4x4 btw!

Well of all the possible locations one would expect to find a 4X4 Cadillac Wisconsin is right near the top. Red Green's neighborhood?

Next time, try running a long screw through the locking gas cap. The screw will lock the two parts together and it will just turn normally. As for the bustle back Seville, it was GM's second attempt at this style, the first being the 1978 Cutlass. Ford also got into this questionable styling trend with the Lincoln Continental and Chrysler didn't want to be left out with it's iteration, I believe it was the Imperial.

Welcome Kevin and Mook to the great state of Wisconsin, you guys were about 2.5 hours south of me!
I used to travel around Sheboygan for work and would see this occasionally. Couldn't believe it when I saw the notification for the new video!!!!
I think Kevin has discovered a new passion for 4x4 Wagons
As you started digging into it, it’s not as half-assed as I thought it would be. They bothered to add gauges and electric fans, the electricals of the Cadillac still work, and there are quite a few bolt on speed parts from back in the day on the old girl. I have seen waaaay sketchier attempts than this.

Very cool broncocad, thanks Kevin and Mook for sharing
This is something I was considering doing with my parts car which was a 64 Wildcat 4Door hardtop like the drag car I run during the summer, but I ended up selling it. Definitely taking notes so when I can get another car to build like this one it will be simpler 😎👍👍

You gotta have Mook in all of your videos. her response to your conversations is priceless, for instance, "Some sixteen year old kid is behind the counter." Who else can think that fast. She adds so much humor. Not saying the video is not excellent with just you, but she just cracks me up. LMAO when the car JUMPED off the ground.

I used to own one of those. The Seville, not the Bronco part. It was a 1980 Seville, 45k miles on it when I bought it. Smoooooth ride.
Always love too see you guys restore something new keep up the awesome content 💯👍
Can hardly wait until part 2 I love part one you guys crack me up but you're usually successful
I’ve got a ‘79 Seville, and I’ve seen what those first gens do when they get hit, so Jesse’s kinda right about the ‘80-‘85 bodystyle. A rear ended first gen does literally look like the second gen, because the rear end will fold under. They made it a bit more refined, threw the window frames away, made it FWD and called it the second gen hahaha
I look to forward to part 2. Great video. Thanks for posting

Thank you for another most excellent episode! I do not have a cel phone and sadly the Raycons would only be an expensive paper weight for me. Still, I appreciate them for sponsoring your efforts! I remember when GM released these eye sore Cadillacs. My dad and I were travelling to visit my Great Uncle and we saw quite a few of them on the freeways. Both of us thought that they were butt ugly looking with the abbreviated trunk. When we arrived at my Great Uncle's house he was all to eager to show us his new Cadillac.... Guess what model it was. I will admit that the ride in it was like a magic carpet sliding across a glass highway down the not so smooth California freeways... But still, the profile of it, that shrunk trunk.... Gawd aweful!
This is why I watch your videos. Thanks.
