Although he mixes Portuguese and Chwabo, the Chwabo language itself has a lot of words that were borrowed from (old) Portuguese. He speaks Chwabo from 0:17 to 1:17

I really enjoyed this video because I've only heard Brazilian and European Portuguese. It was interesting getting to listen to the dialect of Mozambique, and I look forward to listening to the other dialects of Portuguese. By the way, I loved how it was spoken :)

O português falado em Moçambique soa tão claro e melódico, é das minhas variedades lusófonas preferidas. Sobre o chuwabo, alguns dados: (1) tem um milhão de falantes, (2) é falado apenas no centro-norte de Moçambique e (3) faz parte da família de línguas macua.

At what point in the video did he speak Chuwabo? It sounded to me like he spoke Portuguese the whole time

He speaks portuguese, then he changes to Chuwabo (witch has many portuguese loan words, and it makes you think he is speaking portuguese), then he changes back to portuguese in the end.

@@jancovanderwesthuizen8070 Em Salvador se fala apenas português brasileiro (dialeto baiano) com bastante influência africana, sobretudo na léxico. Portanto, não se fala língua puramente africana em Salvador.

Can this be considered a portuguese creole language? I'm native portuguese speaker and it's hard to understand the Chuwabo. I can only get a few words.

Chuwabo is unrelated to Portugese - it is a Bantu language, part of the Makua language family spoken in Mozambique. The few words you pick up on are most likely loan words, due to contact between Portugese and Chuwabo. Thanks for following our channel!

He spoke in two separate blocks: more Portuguese and some Chuwabo. His Portuguese is a standard one (Mozambican variety).
