CRAZY. All these languages are spoken in my immediate family along w/wolof, Espanol, Kriulo, Soninke & Bambara. Well done my friend! I actually assumed he was Mauritanien or Malien. J'adore être polyglotte (fluent in 5 languages). It really is a gift to be able to communicate w/many people around the world.

Assumed he was Mauritanian too, didn't know Hassaniya arabic was spoken all the way down to Burkina Faso, his Arabic is so clear, being Algerian it sounded to me like Saharan Algerian accent. Also he speaks tamasheq, does that mean he's Tergui ?

Bravo! I thought he is from Mauritania but I think that his accent is more close to the Tunisians. However there are two words from Moroccan Darija: "bizzaf" (in Hassaniya we say "yassir") and "diali" (in Hassaniya we add "i" at the end of the word).

Yes I was assuming he's Mauritanian but once he used those words I got really confused. May be he socialized with many Moroccans in Burkina Faso growing up, or went to school in Morocco.
