    I think there’s a issue with the word core that was demonstrated in this video. People tend to think of only abs when core is mentioned.

    He has another video that talks about training stabilizers for each of the 3 planes of movement that mentions sample exercises for each and shows one. Also in a few other videos of his too. My notes have: 1) palloff press and/or palloff squat; 2) planks and/or zombie no hands front squat; 3) carries (while walking) like some shown here (progression: weights in both hands > weight in one hand > upside down kettlebell > weight hanging on one end of bar (on strap > with chains too > on stretch bands, etc)).

    My stability training consists of not using pins on anything, especially on squats, that way I can see if my walkout isn't a mess too and also how much it moved after I finished my set, it usually doesn't move it if it does it's just a tiny bit.

  • @tubax926

    @tubax926

    Жыл бұрын

    Wtf no. The core is a stabilizer muscle, so if you want to train it for strength, you want to overcome instability. What you said is good if you want hypertrophy and contraction strength, but that does not contribute anything towards stability strength. Planks/isometrics, holding heavy weights and just moving in generally all contribute towards increasing the stability strength of your core.
