There may be money to be had overseas but overseas is dangerous which should be readily apparent after what happened to Brittney Griner. Also leave it to a fine capitalist to say better to leave your own country and go make money somewhere else. There really is more than money in this life dude.

@@SpinSpin2020 What happened to Griner is she tried to smuggle drugs across a national border, got caught, claimed she should have immunity because she's famous/American/wealthy, got denied on that, and got minimal jail time for it. Incidentally, bringing the same stuff *into* the US would have been a federal felony as well. I have a strong suspicion Caitlin would respect the laws of anywhere she went to play. The problem is she wouldn't get the big brand endorsement deals playing in Russia, so the fact they've got higher salaries to offer and a better environment to play in won't factor into her thinking. Yes, money isn't everything, but women's basketball really doesn't pay that much, careers are short and so she's got to provide for her retirement. It's not as if she's going to get commentary or coaching jobs after she's done playing due to who she is in the current climate.

@virgilrobertsjr7870 why would the WNBA botch her playing in the WNBA? I am a season ticket holder from day one for the Phoenix Mercury WNBA I probably know a thing or two more about the WNBA thing than you do. go ahead and take that as disrespectful if you will but some of these controversies are invented just like with everything the headlies have to pretend there're problems when there are not or at least not to the extent that everyone would like to throw out there. Not too long ago there was another phenom coming into the WNBA by the name of Candace Parker who was straight and the league tried its best to shield and take care of. She even got married to an NBA player and had a baby. However, the forces of the WNBA eventually got to Candace as she got divorced and remarried a woman and had another baby. Don't underestimate the evil spirit that grips that league. Praying for Caitlin...

It is amazing the amount of hate and venom directed at Caitlin Clark, and all because she is not of the proper, shall we say, "demographic," to be the dominant player in women's college basketball. Come to think of it, she also is not of the proper, shall we say, "orientation" to be the darling of the media, especially the empty suits and skirts of the Disney Sports Channel. I am truly hoping that Clark tells the WNBA and ESPN to kiss her ass and takes her talents overseas, where she can play in front of larger crowds, make more money and not have to deal with the toxic American media.

I believe she won’t have a very tough time in the wnba. The league seems to have realised that she’s the only player who can consistently bring in fans and TV ratings. At a time when the wnba is looking at expansion they’d have to be off the rocker to hinder her. If she’s bullied/harassed and either talks about it or quits , the league may not recover for a while. There have been allegations recently which have been denied as expected but there must be a spotlight on it. Outside of the west coast and north east arenas are not filling up. Middle America is where the big growth will come from and it is not quite as liberal as the aforementioned regions. Who better to have as poster child for the league than CC22. She’s an exciting player like none other, cherishes her family, has a boyfriend in Indiana. A major reason iowa is popular is that those women are perfect role models for middle America. Cultural acceptance of progressive ideas can’t be rammed down the throats of audiences who are expected to pay up.

@RichardIILionheart used the wrong word. I am trying to say it's not comparable. I think she's very good, but it's no use arguing about all this and having this controversy around her until she gets to the WNBA. My comment on comparing her competitors may also be off if the added eligibility equally affected all competitors. The scoring record is not comparable, though. It's not a male vs. female thing, it's just how many more games she played. It might narrow the gap if points/ minute played were looked at.

Wow . If thats true about wnba then if the avg viewers are the same then Caitlin Collins will have to make an insane debut and show her org "something " special to even be given the chance. With the viewership of WNBA being hilariously low, if Caitlin can bring in just 5% increase initially ill make the prediction she'll be given a "pass" on her seemingly rare livelihood. I really hope she improves and plays big in the pros like she did in college . Cause im still shocked the WNBA still exists. They desperately need a outsider superstar to grow the fanbase.

Noted in the video as "98%", the stifling heaviness of the WNBA's lesbian atmosphere has already caused a number of highly recruited, heterosexual, star players to simply hang up their sneakers and walk away. Add to that the jealousy which predominantly black lesbian players have for a heterosexual white girl who is already being called "the greatest woman basketball player of all time" -- it's a recipe for disaster. You can't score 30-40 points a game _anywhere_ when no one passes you the ball. CC is a physically strong athlete. But she can't stay on the floor constantly battered, tripped and slammed by so many, much larger players. Caitlin _is_ that "once-in-a-generation" talent. And she's probably worked harder at it, and for longer, than any of her peers. I LOVE watching her play. But, with great regret, I'm still compelled to predict that CC won't stay in the WNBA for more than a year or two, if that. She's too smart, and too talented in so many other ways to put up with an extremely toxic atmosphere smothering her joy.

Look at WNBA attendance figures relative to U.S. population increase. It went from nearly 11,000 per game at the peak, down to around 7,000. Kaitlin has two things lacking in the WNBA, discipline and conditioning. Some of the taller girls could learn to do flying dunks if they lost weight, hit the weight room, and developed their vertical leap. They instead opt for a comfortable if somewhat plodding team game. Nothing wrong with it, just brings in fewer fans.

One thing that everyone seems to be missing is viewership. The '70s was not a good time for the NBA on television. Reports of drug use by a lot of the league stars turned more eyes to the college game. NBA games were televised, but not live. They were tape delayed. Then 2 guys game into the league and transformed the way the game is played and how the games were broadcasted. The limited viewership of the NBA in the 70's seems to parallel the viewership problem with the WNBA. Most American's don't care about someone else's sexual preferences, unless they are constantly hammered about the struggles of being lesbian/gay/trans. A vast majority of American's face hardships daily and continue on without much complaining. Caitlin being straight should not be made a big deal either. Each league had an issue that seemed to impact the ability to gain viewership. She has the opportunity to bring a ton of eyeballs to a league needful of the attention and the money that will bring. Add Angel Reese, JuJu Watkins and Paige Bueckers arrival into the WNBA one can see an excellent transformation at hand. The current WNBA players need to worry less about politics and enjoy the attention these players will be bringing into the league. More attention will increase pay, viewership, and endorsement opportunities for league events. Hating on players coming into the league over issues that have nothing to do with their talent, will only hasten the death of that league.

This video is very informative and not to be taken lightly.
