Спорт

For those of you that don't know, I have officiallly retired from major league baseball. Thank you all for everything. On to 2024 and the next chapter. I ain't going NOWHERE. Here's to an amazing chapter of laughs, creativity, and a new kind of baseball fandom for me.
Also, John Fisher isn't a very cool dude. Zero rizz.

Wow! Great video. I got to be honest. I thought I caught you at the end.☹ When you said you're retiring in that video, I said to myself, "Crap. I'm too late."😩 But maybe ... just maybe I caught you at the start of your next phase in your life. Honestly, I'm not that big of a fan of baseball (I barely understand the game and been to only three MLB games in my life so far) but I enjoy how you talk and think. I know, I know, I don't know who you really are but only what you present to us in these videos. But whatever that is is what got me to subscribe to your channel. I'm here not because you're a major league baseball player but because I like your personality. You seem like a really nice guy.😇 Maybe you're not in real life👹 but I hope you are and that this isn't just all for show. I don't think it is but I could be wrong. BUT until the day I'm proven wrong about you, I'm here for you and the next part of your life. I'm now glad to be here. To be at the start of what's next for you. I wish you all the best in you going after it. 😁

If Bartolo Colon thought like you he’d never hit his first home run, play in an All-Star Game, or figure out how to get a standing ovation for striking out But I’m sure the road not travelled will never have you ruminating about what you may have missed by cutting things short You made sure that you got out on your own terms, and you guaranteed it early on. And that’s something Bartolo Colon sacrificed with the path he chose… or possibly not since he’s still playing on his terms, just not in the MLB

The playing until you can't advice will make more sense to you when you're over 40... Maybe not at the MLB level, and maybe not as much... but you really should continue to do whatever you can physically, while you still can. The day will come when your body fails you, and you'll regret not doing more while you still could. I never reached the level you did, but I played through college and for a few years after. Then I let life get in the way and always said I'd play next year. Then next year came, and I'd say I'm too busy right now, I'll play next year. Well... now I don't have the option anymore and I miss it like crazy.

Reiterating and expanding on what you said (Congrats by the way on the retirement and a new chapter in your life). You may have hated it and it was difficult, but it created the lifestyle and opportunity to retire in your own terms. If you had a regular job after 18, you would have hated that for more than +16 years. A hard life/career is relative: it's difficult to compete in a high level and practice becomes redundant in order to maintain that high level of play; it's also a struggle getting paid minimum wage (or less than $100k/year in California) working for/with dumb people and your job becomes mundane after +20 years only to realize you have another +20 years to retire (that's you have enough savings to retire comfortably).

Congrats Mr. May! Good luck with your next adventure in life. Possibly try high school coaching? It'll keep you close to home.

Congrats Trevor. Enjoyed having you on the A's last year. I have been an A's fan for 50 years. As an A's fan I love the organization and all players as well, except that one guy. He's a snake and should SELL THE TEAM. So sad they are moving and to rub salt in the wound, he will benefit. MLB is creating a massive cancer in their product having him in their league. Good luck in all your future endeavors. God Bless!!
