last time i got into a pitcher named trevor's youtube content his career ended like the next week so hopefully this one doesn't disappoint

I love baseball and gaming. I played for a long time and still avidly watch. This is a great video to show younger pitchers to show them how little things can impact the big picture. Thanks for sharing!

Love this style of video . Really cool insight into the small parts of the game that not a lot of fans think about much

My takeaways from this. 1) Keep the tap of the glove as that is the constant 2) Do you feel posting this, is a "tip"? 3) YES! A pro making videos for us plebs to enjoy and get even MORE insight as to what goes through the mind of a MLB player/pitcher. Thank you for this video. I really did enjoy it. I played from the age of 9 to 23 and miss it EVERY day. I'm now 41 and can barely throw a ball without possibly throwing my back out lmao.

I remember years ago watching Nolan Ryan do a 'reverse' tip. He'd thrown two blazing fastballs, and then he pulled his leg up just a tiny bit higher and grunted on a changeup. Batter was way, way out in front. I actually tried that in a back yard game once and the guy nearly jumped out of his shoes.

do you think the change in delivery point can lead to more injuries like what happen with Joey when he was tipping the churve and he made his delivery point more consistent since the churve was being released an inch higher than his fastball. it seem that there was something to it and maybe it why he tore his arm up real good soon there after or is that just a fluke and injuries can occur for any reason at any time more or less

I found out I was tipping my pitches in high school. Turned out they could read my throw-it-pretty-slow-and-try-to-at-least-get-it-in-the-zone pitch because I threw that every time I threw a baseball. We... were not good.

Dude my favorite thing in the world was when you should show up to a game and look in the bullpen and see the pitcher tipping pitches in the pen. Gonna be a good day.

Honestly, this change was extremely comfortable immediately. It’s not always like that, but when you’re simplifying as opposed to added a quirk or something, it’s a little easier I think.

I don't know if you'd be interested in covering this, but I'd love to see a professional explain why Kenly Jansen isn't balking when he's shifting his hips like that before his delivery. Because I always thought he should be considered set as soon as his hands come together, but that's not the call he gets. Any insights?

When you found out that you were tipping pitches did you ever consider purposely tipping a certain pitch then throwing a different one? probably wouldn't work for more than an inning but I think it'd be funny to see.

For something like this, how often do you talk with other pitchers on the staff about it? Do you check with them and ask if they notice anything?

Why not use the tip to your advantage and conciously change it up? Meaning, instead of tipping a breaking ball, use it on a fast ball and really mess with their mind, especially in a crucial situation.

It's great that you do your own research and correct your delivery but shouldn't the pitching coach and others on the Mets coaching staff pick up on your tipping of pitches before you did. The Cubs figured it out from the bench. Hopefully the organization recognizes this and brings in competent staff for next season and especially conditioning coaches so the team does not deal with all of the injuries they had this season.
