Weird you mention Houston’s back 3 but not Seattle’s. Nor one mention of their rotation. Houston’s rotation is anchored by a 40 year old who is looking his age now. And personally, I don’t think Javier is going to be a lot better than last season. He’s forgotten how to strike guys out. Houston has the offensive advantage over Seattle but every big bat except Yordan and Tucker has some miles on it.

Lions made the NFC Championship. Michigan had a perfect season. The Wings might make the playoffs. Heck yeah let's go Tigers. Detroit's eating good in 2024 (except the Pistons)

@andrew fair, but the Giants haven't really done much to pull ahead of us either. Not sure why but I think we'll get more out of this mix of players (relatively) then we did out of last year's group, not having a couple holes in the lineup will raise our floor

@@TJBarbour That's the concern! It's the same group of players who poopied their diapers last year except worse, I don't know why anyone thinks it's gonna play out differently. We dropped our biggest bat, made sure to open up some hole in defense, and then made a bunch of excuses for why we're stronger now than when we were. It's roof stoof and gonna be a year that really reminds us why the Padres are NOT a household name where other comparable teams are.

Texas wasnt hurt by not having deGrom for most of the season last year in the strictest sense.... I think they have as much depth in starters as other two teams before deGrom and Scherzer come back and they've already proven they can mash.

As a Royals fan, I have been extremely pleased with the moves they made this offseason. I have also done a ton of research as far as looking into AL Central rosters. To me, it looks like outside of Chicago, anybody has a legitimate shot to win that division in 2024. I have seen a ton of Detroit hype this offseason. I have to ask the following question. What is it about Detroit that have people buying into them? Is it the potential in their young talent? I feel like Cleveland and Minnesota are sort of the two front runners especially if Shane Bieber has a bounce back year and Bibee has a season like he did last year.

Twins 2nd? You're dead to me, Trevor. Thanks for the memories, but there's no coming back from that. All joking aside, that seems like a crazy take. Not sure what you're seeing in the Tigers that you're not in the Twins. Seems like it's more likely the Twins lineup takes a big step forward than the Tigers do, and the bullpen is a lot better than the Tigers. I do see the upside in the Tigers rotation, but to put it above the Twins' rotation in expected performance seems crazy too.

As a Diamondbacks fan, I have no qualms about being second in a tough NL West. Around 90 wins and the fifth seed sound about right for us, especially with the sneakily good off season we've had, but we'll just have to wait and see what happens on the field

What a great album and song by Warrant in the early 90's! I'm a Mets fan hoping that they play like they did two years ago. Angels suck and will make a serious run against Oakland for that coveted last place spot. You’re saying the same things we’ve all said the last few years: “they need to stay healthy,” “they’re relying heavily on their young guys,” “they need a lot of things to come together.” It’s just more of the same, and there’s no point in even caring because you already know exactly how things are gonna go. Expect a legitimate run at 100 losses. Took long enough.

Cherry Pie! I feel like it can be really hard to predict the AL East. Admittedly as a Blue Jays Fan, I do hope to see them to be a contender but I do think sometimes the offence can really lack make them suffer but it can be the same thing about the Yankees. I don't think the Yankees are necessarily as high but who knows. Orioles I must admit it was surprising how well they did last year honestly because to me being an AL East fan, they were always not that great mostly. Rays have that level of unpredictability as always (I call them the farm system for MLB as in players who are ready to go play well and successfully in the big leagues.) From what I have gathered er, the Red Sox aren't how they used to be when I was growing up(I am almost 29) and they could dominate so much. I will admit, I have been in my 20s a more passive baseball fan with just getting updates from my dad but this year I feel like I know a long time mostly because I first clicked on I think it was baseball historian video because it kept on getting recommended to me. Then from that I watched Foolish Baseball then JM Baseball/Jolly Olive. It's just gets more and more in depth as time goes on. It honestly makes me wish I was more invest from 2013-2023 because I feel like I missed so much but I feel most caught up with the different baseball podcasts I watch (Mostly Talking Baseball, Baseball Today but I do really like Chris Rose Rotation which I know you are a co-host on which is how I have discovered your channel essentially)

As a Mariners fan, I'm vibin with those award predictions. And now I'm in the mood for cherry pie!

Cherry Pie! I think you got it nailed down. I'm a Phillies fan, but looking at what they did not do this off season (rotation,bullpen) I see us losing to the Braves and the O's taking it. We just found a way to nail it to the Braves but they just keep finding ways to plus up in little ways and Dave D is sitting on his hands unless he finds a ways to sign Snell or Montgomery. Dave D find gems and ways but just seems odd this off season.
