Never got to ask a question but loved hearing your positive remarks about the Mets. I always wonder if players look back on playing for our franchise and don’t enjoy their time but it seems that you did I know I really enjoyed watching you pitch for us especially in our best regular season of my lifetime

I was an intern for the Rochester red wings in 2016. I remember Trevor got sent down to AAA for a few weeks in June. One of the nicest players I encountered with during that entire summer. Truly down to earth. Another fun guy from that summer was Kennys Vargas. I went to a twins game in Atlanta later in the year and Vargas actually remembered me when I waved at him and he came over and gave me a hug 😂

Great vid, I love your candidness. Some suggestions I have you could use in the future...Maybe you could do a video where you talk about each team and if you have any stories facing them. I think it'd be cool to get your thoughts now while they're still fresh. Also can you talk about some things like who pays for what when you guys go out, which teams had the best accomodations, are the fans getting screwed by the owners in certain ways. I'd really like to hear more from your point of view. Thanks for doing this video

What's best way for a minor/major leaguer to manage their money with all the freinds, family, and other options tugging them all different directions? (knowing most don't get the BIG contracts until at least 6-7 years in)

As a reliever, how long before the call to the bullpen is it before you *think* you’re gonna pitch in the game? Is it before the game starts? Does the bullpen get told prior to the game the list of probable pitchers for the game?And how long before the call do you *definitely* know (or very confident) that you’re gonna pitch?

I really dig this channel, so thank you Mr May. One thng surprisingly few people understand (I was a catcher for many years so I understand) Pitchers are an odd bunch. I loved them but I can honestly I didn't really want to hang out with them after the game 😅. That's why they stick together. Nobody else understands just how odd they can be. Sugar cookie. It's very cool to hear stories from former mlb players. Some years ago I worked at a hospital in Virginia. During lunch one day this older gentleman was lying for a place to sit and there are no empty tables but we had a empty chair. It was a small hospital so I knew he wasn't an employee. Turned out he was waiting for his grandchild in surgery. After chit chatting it turned out he was a former Negro League player and had some amazing stories of his time play8ng. I was in my mid 20s so it was fascinating.

I worked for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes when Napoli was there (High-A). Super nice guy and was really a great leader with all the young guys that were there.

When you're in the zone, it's a feeling that is hard to describe. When all your pitches are clicking, it's like doing something so easy yet so difficult at the same time. When you're having an off day. It's a fucking nightmare. 😂 and off days are inevitable. You just try to limit those outings. Same when you're at the plate. As you advance having the ability to establish an approach to know how to make adjustments in your swing pitch by pitch. All hitters slump it's how quickly you get out separates the pros from the amateurs.

8:41 this resonates with me so much cuz my dad has ADD and I have ADHD, and being able to understand how my brain works had a huge impact on me
