🚲 ...Why I Have To Sell All My Ebikes

I know this title sounds like clickbait, but it's not, really.
I'm not going to go over everything because I already have an entire build series on this bike, which if you're interested in purchasing this bike I highly recommend watching that as that will go over all of the things I did and how I made it. But to quickly sum up - it does have a SVMC72200 controller, a 70Ah battery with a 200A bms, that will allow 300A peak. It has a QS273 3.5T motor, and it tops out at 60MPH, which is very scary and I don't recommend you do that too often as it's easier for bad things to happen at that speed. Has DNM shocks front and rear. This bike has a ton of custom things on it, full RGB LED lighting, with built in controls via the dashboard, the UKC1 display with realtime speed, power usage and trip/odometer, and much more.
I honestly haven't used this bike much, it's basically brand new, the battery only has maybe 5 full cycles on it, if that. I don't ever run the battery down past 70% and I try to only charge it to 90%. I have ridden 20 miles on it from a full charge and the battery said it was only down to 80%, I'm not sure how far it could go exactly, but I think realistically 60-80 miles is very doable, it may go much further I'm not sure, it really depends on a lot of factors which is why I can't really say exactly how far it will go, but it's a huge battery for an ebike, that I am sure of.

If you are interested in owning this bike, please reach out with an offer in my instagram or email me (I'll pin a comment below with that info and also update that comment when it is sold). I also have to ask please be respectful of my time, I'm very busy and request you only reach out if you are serious and have the funding to back up that seriousness as this is not an inexpensive bike. I could see shipping being an issue, so if you're within or close to California, that would be ideal, but I'm not opposed to shipping it to wherever, although I may leave this up to the buyer - Ideally you'll want a motorcycle type transport going on as I suppose it's possible to dismantle and crate this bike for freight, but I would be a lot more comfortable sending in via motorcycle transport. I also want to say that if you see an upcoming build and you want that, or if you have a build you want made, you can reach out to me as well. For the reasons I described earlier in this video that for the right price I am willing to let my builds go. Unfortunately I cannot offer any warranty whatsoever, it is completely as-is where-is. I don't foresee any issues with the bike, as I haven't experienced them while I've owned it, but as is the nature with things like this, parts can break, electronics can fail, batteries can catch fire or explore, so if you are going to purchase this bike you are taking on any and all responsibility of it and for it, just to be very clear about it. Of course if you have questions or issues after purchase I'm happy to answer them for you, but I pretty much try to help anyone who asks questions in the comments anyway, so not much different is there.

Thanks so much Luke! I appreciate that a lot. If I am wise at all (I don't personally think so, but I do thank you for your kind words) it's only because I've failed over and over again (and I will continue to). My mind is split in two (the bicameral mind): I want to keep everything because I know I can find use for it in some capacity, all the while I also want to rid myself of all of these things as I know it's inside that matters more than anything external. However I do love "things" and I always have. I could do either way, and I suppose I'm finding some balance by struggling between. I have much bigger and more epic projects in the works, as well as a ton of other and new types of projects. Thanks for watching and commenting 🍻

I feel you on having tethers to stuff it’s kinda like hoarding but not. But once you realize you don’t need things it’s easy to let go of them. As you said, it’s all about building the thing that’s the fun part. However, when it comes to owning and using it it’s not as fun as the build process. I’m sure someone will be buy it. It is a work of art!

This makes total sense. I am in the same place. I have a dozen or more almost fully undocumented projects in various states of finished, most are 90% done. I'm to the point where I don't really have the space anymore and have a lot of money tied up into them. My goal is also to constantly grow and evolve into whatever the next step is so while some people won't understand, it's totally justifiable and selling your current projects to move on to the next ones. Right now I have my e-bike just about done and the whole goal of building it was so I can build a bigger one next, and then do a full conversion on my current vehicle to EV. Keep doing what you're doing, love the channel!

@@hightech-lowlife - awesome build. It looks like it would be a ton of fun to make these. I will have to dig into your channels video's to catch up and see what kind of stuff you usually are doing. The area you were riding through all looked really nice, bet the weather is great there! It SUCKS here, zero degrees outside... oh well it is winter. I do have a question - I am a ex-motocross rider and I miss the sport a lot, and I mean A LOT. Getting on some of our national pro tracks and riding them to the best of my ability, such an amazing workout people really have no idea the awesome physical conditioning that is required to be at the top of this sport, it is one of the hardest of all - I think MMA, wrestling, are probably a bit harder I mean you have to be a perfect specimen to even think of stepping foot in that octagon. So the question is - how close to a motocross feeling can you get on one of these ebikes? I do know that there are electric motocross bikes and I am positive that they are truly awesome but they are out of my price range - perhaps even these ebikes are out as well but one can dream... @@genjitsu7448 Thanks man! Yes, how people live in places where it snows and drive in those conditions is baffling to me, but I guess it's how you grew up and what you're used to, the coldest it gets here is about 35 degrees. I think any kind of vehicle racing is very taxing on the body and the mind, people think because you're sitting down you don't have to be in shape, but this is not the case. The question you're asking is very subjective though, so I'm not sure if I can speak much on that in a way that would translate, but I do think that an enduro/sur ron style ebike could at least give you "some" of those feelings, but it's not the same thrill as being on a 450, I think for a 1:1 comparison you'd want a real electric dirt bike, but they are very expensive as you know. You said it in the intro. Contact Jay Leno. You never know. He collects all types of vehicles... even e-bikes. The first electric bike patent was taken out in 1895 if I remember correctly and it was surprisingly similar to a modern day e-bike. I've seen You-tube videos where he had e-bike builders and their bikes, as well as some of the first electric cars, and carriages. I'd hate to see your work end up in some a banded garage or even worse. It needs to be shared with other builders and enthusiasts. It needs to be preserved. They are one of a kind. I personally was and am still interested in the acrylic elements. I was blown away by that and would love to have access to files; not to copy them, but to use the settings as a starter point to making my own unique designs. I have looked into laser cutters and engraving, as well as bending acrylic, but like any artistic venture... you have to start by learning from those before you. I hope this doesn't mean that your going to stop creating videos. I've enjoyed every one and watched some multiple times and you've inspired me in so many ways while I build my own bikes. I don't have the energy of a 5 year old like you do but I still have the kid in me when it comes to dreaming up ideas that work. I live in the Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York and I've built dual motor e-bikes with independent throttle control with studded tires that can ride on glare ice like it's on dry pavement. It works for me. I'm not looking to go 60 miles and hour but if I can go 30 miles an hour during a snow storm without worrying about spinning out or sliding... I think I've come up with something. You helped me achieve this reality. I'm sorry. I just came off a 12 hour shift and when I saw your post I just had to watch it. We can't have everything. Where would we put it? Some things are worth preserving. Everything breaks. But can you fix it ? Build it. Break it, Fix it, and Repeat, until you can't break it.

It means a lot 🍻 I'm still quite new to this (or at least it feels that way) so I have a lot of learning and progressing to go for me to even feel like I really have something to "show" people. I think you should get into laser cutting, it's actually really cool and I feel like I've just started to think of ways to build things with it. No, I'm still going to be making videos, I keep coming up with more and more ideas actually! It sounds like you've made some really cool bikes that perform really well, that's awesome man! Honestly going 60mph on a bike is quite overrated, I think for speeds like that it's much better to just get a motorcycle. I appreciate the message and the positivity, it's messages like these that definitely help keep me going on the channel, so really thanks a lot man!
