My father died when I was 11 years old. Shortly after that, my mother took all of us (5 children) to pray at the altar of St. Joseph in our church. She told us that St. Joseph would take care of us as he took care of Jesus. 10 years later, I met the man who has now been my husband for 53 years. His name is Joseph.

St Joseph was the most surprising part of my returning to the church. My husband asked me one day, very softly, “what about Joseph?” And that day opened an unexpected door. I’ve felt St Joseph in ways I’ve never felt any of my other beloved saints. I love him so much.

Imagine your wife tells you that she is expecting a child. And you know you have never known each other physically. And between dreams from God and conversations with her you come to BELIEVE the child is divine. And you give your entire life-in purity & masculine service- to provide and care for and love both of them. You are a TRUE husband to the Blessed Virgin (minus marital intimacy) and the TRUE father of God Incarnate. SUCH a good, pure and holy man. St Joseph pray for us. 🙏🏽

You need to listen to Dr. Taylor Marshall. He is amazing!!!! He was an Episcopalian priest and had a major conversion to Catholicism on the alter in Rome. He is better than Dr. Scott Hann. And Dr. Hann is fantastic. That's how great Dr. Marshall is. You can find him on KZread.

The experience of St. Joseph reminds me that even our biological fathers are not our true fathers, but our true Father in Heaven.

This interchange of arguments is brilliant. And so vivid.

From Ireland. I'm 76yrs now and thanks to the prayers of my Mam at my bedside to the Holy names and Hearts of Jesus,Mary and Joseph. Took them into my heart. Why in the world would anyone say we can’t love more than one person at a time!!! btw as Catholics we do not believe that Jesus had brothers or sisters as Mary and Joseph were consecrated virgins. At the cross Jesus gives His mother to John if Jesus had siblings according to Jewish law then the eldest of siblings would have taken Mary in.

St.Joseph is a model of human fatherhood and the Holy Family are a model for human family life. Thanks be to God these devotions are arising now. We must keep praying, fasting and living lives worthy of the Gospel. God hears the cries of His children and He knows what we shall endure before we endure it. Let us trust in Him and know God is God and He loves us more than we can possibly imagine. Let this also be our strong wall against sin or hard-heartedness with one another. Father Colloway I purchased the book and concecrated myself to St. Joseph very powerful book. Learned a lot. I also concecrated myself to Mary. How my spiritual life has changed and feeling there presents every time I turned to them for intersection to my Lord Jesus. They both protect me from the enemy. The rosary is very powerful as well.

We have a heavenly family! God our Father, Jesus our brother, Mary our mother! How rich we are! The more the merrier i always say!

You are so right,..I've always loved St. Joseph...but this year I've been reaching out to him so much..sending him to my children, to the fatherless, to the women alone..at first. Didn't understand,..but then the church started speaking more about Joseph..and I felt as the spirit had lead me to him..now his a part of all my prayers,.and he fits in so perfect as to what my heart is asking..why wouldn't he be the father to all those who not...to me so many things are falling in place. And while having nothing I have everything, in all of heaven..

The first time I prayed the Litany of St. Joseph felt very powerful. I was putting it off for some time, for absolutely no reason. God bless.

Thank you for this. When I was in high school in the sixties I recall looking at the statue of St. Joseph and thinking that I just couldn’t feel anything which would lead me to have devotion to him or pray to him. Then just several months ago I began wanting to cultivate devotion to him. Then I learned that Pope Francis has declared this the year of St. Joseph and now there is a consecration to him! Talk about timely! I will definitely look up some of the saints’ references to him.

St Joseph is the only man that God had to OBEY. (Under Jewish law both wife and children have to love, honour and obey the patriarch of the family. Since Joseph was head of Jesus' family not only did Our Lady have to obey him but so did Jesus...think about that God (incarnated as Jesus, in keeping with his own commandment/law that children must always obey their father and mother) had to obey St Joseph. Every other saint and indeed person in history had to obey God, even our lady. I once heard a sermon where the priest said if you ask God for something chances are high you won't get it because we are foolish and He as father wants to give us something BETTER that we might not realise at the time; if you ask Mary then she will intercede and as a loving son Jesus might refuse initially or delay as he did at the wedding in Canaan but He will probably do as she asks when He thinks the time is just right. You have to be careful when you ask St Joseph for his intercession because if your request is a good one than he will take it to Jesus and Jesus must obey, he can not refuse His foster father! So be very careful what you ask for when you ask St Joe to intercede - if it is a good intention then it will be granted as is and then you'll be stuck with it!

I suggest listening to Fr Mike Schmitz, Fr Calloway, Fr Mitch Pacwa, Fr Benedict Groeschel; I could go on and on but Dr Hahn's books are extraordinary. Actually, when you are ready, Bible in a year and Catechism in a year with Fr Mike Schmitz is extraordinary as well. I hope this helps. God bless.

I found this book at a book store by chance. Actually I wanted (still want) to know about St. Joseph, but I couldn’t find a material suitable to me. But I got this book. With it, I was able to consecrate myself to St. Joseph and getting to know my spiritual father. I do believe that Holy Spirit has led me to this book in the book store. I am really happy to get know St. Joseph. More importantly, I feel so great to start loving him!!!!

I would really like the titles of the books for a few of the saints mentioned by Fr. Calloway. This is truly expanding the teachings of St. Joseph the protector of Jesus and Mary.

I love the covenant language. I wish that our Catholic people would understand how important the Covenant is in understanding how this Divine food is needed to have eternal life. It hurts me to know that only 30 percent of Catholics believe in the “Real Presence”. There’s been a breakdown in the teaching of the Covenant. “God remembers his Covenant forever”. Amen!

The brothers and sisters of Jesus were his cousins and relatives. There was no lexicon for cousins at that time. Jesus was the only child of Mary

At Joseph is the gentlest of saints. He was so good. As far as I am concerned at Joseph was treated so shabbily he was used he did what he was told to do by God than discarded. I feel so sad.

The writings of the mystic Maria Valtorta gives a wonderful insight into the Holy Family with St Joseph's marriage to Our Lady being a very hard time (for a short time) after She returned from the "visitation" obviously pregnant. Valtorta, by writing 3,500 pages, whilst disabled, in bed, also gives a wonderful insight into the the life of Jesus, Mary and the Apostles as well as the lives of the early believers who knew Jesus as the Messiah.

The image of St. Joseph at all abortion clinics would be so powerful. Yes, fatherhood and patriarchy has been under so much attack for decades, removing God’s plan of protection over the family. We need the Holy Spirit to bring back Godly strong, loving, guiding, protective men at the helm of the family. Lord, hear our prayer. 🙏

Our Faith is Christ-centered. Protestants are our brothers and sisters. We are to be known through our Love, that’s what Jesus asked us and St Paul asks in his letter to Titus to keep off from people who want to argue and cause division. BUT? she was one of the 1st real saints of THE NEW COVENANT once JESUS was raised from the dead! A wonderful program. It's about time that the Catholic Church gave Saint Joseph, the due that he should receive. Because if it wasn't for Saint Joseph, there would not have been a Holy family back then. They would have not been able to survive. Joseph is ranked highest among all the other saints, martyred and blessed, the apostles and all angels of heaven. And is parallel, with the Virgin Mary in the hierarchy of Heaven.

I recently recuperated from a severe case of Covid. Without my family’s care I would not be here. What better example of a family than the Holy Family.

The Holy Family : Jesus, Mary and Joseph is a celebration of God's love as it was a divine plan and a divine providence that Jesus should be under the care of Joseph and Mary. And as brothers and sisters of Jesus, I'm sure that the Son of God himself recommends us to the loving care of his loving parents (Mary and Joseph)

But, if I may, let me go a challenge a step further: I fully agree, and I'm convinced there's a lot to deepen about the mystery of Saint Jospeh in divine Redemption, "...there's a lot to unpack...", but, accepting the dogma the way it's held right now by Catholic Church, I hold and believe the Inmaculate Conception of Mary, and at the same time I don't see why should affirm that saint Joseph is defenitely not Inmaculate. I would rather leave leave it to mystery: neither affirm nor deny...

Immaculate conception of Mary was necessary because she had to carry ‘the God man, Jesus Christ’ in her womb. Saint Joseph on the other hand didn’t have to be ‘ physically’ involved hence no need for the immaculate conception for him.

@@ugochiamah5979 It's wasn't strictly necessary for Mary to be immaculately conceived in order to be the Mother of God. Rather, it was a unique grace and privilege granted to her, because it was fitting and proper.

Oh if the Patriarch Joseph was the Prince of Egypt. St Joseph is the Prince of the house of Bread, the house of Bethlehem, the house of God!! St Joseph, pray for the fatherless of our time that the 'hearts of fathers would turn to their children and children to their fathers, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just.."!
