Wow what an Amazing video, I always for a long time thought cruises are only for the Caribbean that was it. Beaches sun shine and a party. After watching your videos Im reconsidering my thoughts. Some of the views are breath taking. That train ride looked so awesome. It probably won’t be anytime soon but I’ll will have to add it to my bucket list. The way your share your content is 2nd to none !! From the camera work the music and the background fade. Keep up the good work 👍

Wow thank you so much!! We felt the exact same way, when we thought of vacation we thought of relaxing in hot weather with a drink in our hands! Alaska was breathtaking and we're glad we went. Wow, the drone footage 😍. So in Skagway we did the bus & rail excursion through Chilkoot Charters. HIGHLY recommend them. You take a small bus up all the way to Yukon, Canada & the White Pass rail back down to Skagway. It might be the other way around depending on the departure time. It was hands down the best excursion with many stops along the way on the bus portion. We had maybe 16 people total, it was a very intimate experience and our tour guide stopped when we saw a bear on the side of the road, let us watch him eat for at least 15 min, mere feet away. We had lunch (included) in Carcross, Yukon. The entire tour was probably 7.5 hrs with the train portion being about 2 hrs. You just see a completely different side going up the Klondike Hwy. You stop by Welcome to Alaska & also Welcome to Yukon signs. Cost was $219 pp. The train was truly exhilarating, especially standing on the platform. Loved the vlog!

Oh wow that seems like a better way to go, sounds like you get a lot more for not a lot of extra $. There were so many great but expensive excursions we'll have to go back! It would have been nice to see the welcome signs and take a nice photo. Sounds like you had a great day ☀️🍻😎

Another advantage for buyng tickets for the Railway right at the office rather than RC is not only are they cheaper but the cars you ride in are way less crowded. The cruise ship excursion cars were full, there were only 6 people total in our car.

Do the ship excursion have to stay in those cars? Surely you can pick anyone as you’re going to the same destination.

@@debbiedarcy904 Great question, I'm not 100% sure but we were escorted to around the middle and second half of the cars. We just got on without thinking about it.

What a fun day!!! We were there in May. We saw a mama & baby whale in the bay from a helicopter as we were landing!!! So amazing to to run back to the ship to see them play for hours ❤️❤️❤️

one of my favorite stops just to walk around town some beautiful artwork in town. I have never seen the whales that close to the skagway awesome. Ryan....always listen Kala; 🤣

@@ryanandkala throughly enjoying watching your first Alaskan experience. When you go again (and you will 😁) Juneau and Icy Strait Point are the best places to see whales. Juneau you need to do an excursion either with the ship or with Harv and Marv. In Icy Strait have always seen them right beside the ship like you had Skagway. Last May I saw 19 Orcas in one pod in Juneau we spent 30 minutes with them, absolutely amazing.

Yay for Ryan and Kala Sunday! My drone name suggestion is Pixie! The views are magical! Your hike was beautiful, but I can't imagine how sore we'd be. Y'all are so cute and fun. Hubby and I love your Sunday videos! So excited for all your upcoming trips! We're going on the Carnival Celebration next year!

The hike was great, but believe it or not I convinced Kala to do another in Ketchikan and it was a BEAST! We'll see how it turns out because I ended up having a camera malfunction but hopefully I can show it. The Carnival Celebration is still our favourite ship, you're going to have an awesome time. Great vlog and good to see Skagway again. We were in Alaska in May at the same time as you but on on Celebrity Solstice and we had the whales playing next to the ship too. We are booked to go back to Alaska on Ovation next May. I think Dolly is a great name (Dolly Drone) What do you guys think? 😀

We've only been on Royal and Carnival so far, we've talked pretty extensively about doing a Royal vs Carnival video, we just want to make sure we do it right. It's hard to pick a favorite I think we will break it down by category ex food, entertainment, venues, etc.

Took that trip about ten years ago. Very beautiful ❤️

Yes the train ride is highly recommended. So beautiful. Still some snow on mountains in July. I did the train to Fraiser Canada and then bus ride back to Skagway (need passport)

I think if we were to do it again this would be what we'd do. The excursions are so pricey you really need to plan and budget for them ☀️🍻😎

Our next cruises are the Oasis of the Seas in September, the Carnival Jubilee in February 2024, Explorer of the Seas in May 2024 to the Mediterranean then the Utopia of the Seas next September!!! @@paul_and_ashley Yes it's a DJI mini 2, I like it a lot. I find that the video is decent, its easy to use and the gps system is good. There's probably some newer models out there though.

@@bzydad I did have to do a test, register with the FAA along with some other requirements. I did this to fly the drone in LA, I don't think it's required in every state. There's different rules for recreational flyers and commercial ones, it's all a bit stressful but I think I do it to myself just trying not to break any rules lol.

Ryan, what was the name of the roll you got in the Sushi restaurant? It looked so good, gonna order that on my upcoming cruise.

We went in May and had beautiful weather, when we took the train or did some hiking we saw snow but no where else!

What was the name of the trail? I might have missed that.

It was lower lake I believe. The trail entrance was near the train tracks.

Hahahaha! You’re right leggings are not pants lol! I am Canadian and we’re from Ottawa where it usually gets between -20 and -30 Celsius during our winters, so I am used to the cold, and Alaska wasn’t actually as cold as we expected so I was ok in my leggings. If you’re not used to the cold weather leggings may not be a good call 😉 Thanks for watching 🤍
