There are already 90 nuclear bombs in Turkey for many years. 50 of them are under US control. 40 of them are under the control of Turkey. Turkey is a NATO partner. This is due to the mutual trust of Nato members. Nuclear missile is another matter. Developing Nuclear Missiles and Nuclear bombs is even more different.

And US do have control over all the 50 who is again in Turkey, but have a plan to move them out of Turkey, because US doesn't trust Turkey. But anyway, Turkey is too dumb to use the 50 B-61 nuclear bombs, wich is the primitive thermonuclear gravity bomb that it is needs of good bombers, something Tyrkey doesn't have!

Some flaws with assumptions and important "details" are missing from this video.. 1- Turkey isn't foreign to nuclear technology as video suggests... Turkey has its own research nuclear reactors since Jan 1962, starting with TR-1 became operational that year and TR-2 in 1981.. Çekmece Research Center already has limited uranium enrichment capability for research purposes since late 1970s.. Turkey uses its own reactors to manufacture all of the radioactive isotopes used in domestic medical devices and even exports these materials.. If there was some "secret plan" for nuclear weapons, there is no telling how much spent fuel RWM division could stock in 50+ years of continuous nuclear reactor research... Or how much enriched Uranium Turkey may already have after ~40 years of operation, even with limited capability.. 2- Turkey never getting cooperation from outside countries is a flawed assumption... One of the closest allies of Turkey (in the whole world) is Pakistan.. Pakistan has nukes and is also not a signatory of nuclear non-profliferation treaty... Nothing stops them from transfering technology, or even selling operational nuclear warheads.. If Turkey wants it badly, it could have nuclear warheads within 2-3 years along with an operational MRBM design in 5 years to carry it..

Isreal is not trying to annex the whole eastern half of the mediterranean. I would argue that recent expansionist policies of Turkey make neighbourinb countries far more cautios than even with Iran. Add to this that turkey is a place where ethnic cleansing of armenians is seen as acceptable, and its not hard to see why its committing suicide in international politics for Turkey to rush to make nukes.

In 2009 - Iran offered Turkey to join to them for Nuclear development program. Well, since then the relations between Turkey and Iran a bit changed. But i still believe that, if Turkey asks for any cooperation with Iran, they will accept it. Pakistan... In every situation, in every platform they show their big love to Turkey both in public and diplomatic way. Pakistan is the only country who joined Turkey's naval exercise in previous years and gave the message to the world '' In any conflict - we will be at Turkey's side ''. Developing nuclear will not be an issue for Turkey. And nowadays Turkey is playing and making moves to secure their future. ( Check mediterranean conflict, they don't step back against all threats. ) I believe that, Turkey is working with Pakistan to learn and develop nuclear secretly.

Turkey is about 100 times more important for usa then greece. And last. Turkey doesnt want war. Only greece tries to provoke a war they can't even handle. They hope for france, italy, egypt or usa to help them. Egypt on the other hand is close to go for a war against sudan and Lybia. France and italy only want it's companies to get gas and oil and wouldn't even dream of going to war with turkey. Which is nearly as strong as them. Usa for a couple billion dollars of oil would never fight against one of its most important allies. So greece should start negotiation instead of provoking.

Turkey already has experimental reactors in 2 different facilities. One of them is cold but other one is actively working and producing electricity for some parts of Istanbul

You'll never know whether Turkey will have or already have nuclear weapons, just like iran. Because this is an instable region, no one would disclose such an information.

Turkey already has nuclear weapons but nuclear program must be unique, no one can prevent the turkey this program after the Turkish soldiers killed.

The question is why now? The first thing is that Iran has the ballistic capability to hit Turkey and is developing nukes. As everyone knows they are also pretty active in terms of insurgent groups in the middle east which is concerning for Turkey. Israel also can hit Turkey and also has nukes. If Turkey doesn't have any nukes that it can trust then how will it defend itself from the mess in the middle east? So, the chain reaction that you speak of won't come from Turkey's nuclear ambitions, but it has already come because of Iran's & Israel's nuclear ambitions. Secondly, the NATO/US nukes were sufficient to such a threat before the tensions between the West and Turkey showed otherwise. For example, the US didn't sell patriot defence systems to Turkey which has an ageing air force, which made Turkey buy its long-range air defence systems from Russia then the US said they won't sell F35s either. Spain threatened Turkey after the Op. Olive Branch to take their own patriot air defence systems back. Germany is not selling the parts needed to produce the first batch of the Altay tanks. All of these things mean that Turkey cannot trust its so-called western "allies" anymore. And if you say that ooh but they shouldn't have intervened in Syria, is this really your opinion? Would your own country really allow its longest border to be this unstable, wouldn't your own country want a buffer zone between your own border and the shitshow going on in Syria? Also, anything happens in Syria affects Turkey the most (immigrants flee towards Turkey the most for example, PKK/YPG/whatever you call it gains territory and power which had many civilian bombings in Turkey and many more consequences), so do you really think Turkey shouldn't do anything about it?

7:00. You forgot Thorium. While it hasn't been used in nukes, that doesn't mean it can't be. It just needs to be purified, not enriched like Uranium. Turkey has the 4th largest Thorium reserves in the world, at an estimated 380k tonnes.

With an agreement signed during the Cold War, Turkey was given nuclear warhead technology. In the event of a war, Turkey can produce close to 16 nuclear warheads in 24 months. We also do not know whether we have produced it until now. If we produced it and the whole world did not know about it, it would be a great success.

@@A2Kaid nuclear missiles are easier then you think to counter im not gonna open a whole war strategy But the only exception is the Russian Nuclear missiles which are sent really high near the space and then aim at the country with the thrusters in the back and the earth pulling the missile It becomes very fast and hard to counter

Turkey should work with Pakistan on this.

The only reason that the world never had to fight a WW-3 was that enough of the potential belligerents had nuclear weapons. Mutual Assured Destruction works. Every one that had nukes knew if they used them, their adversaries would too. The only fallacy was the belief that a limited use of nuclear weapons would only be responded to in kind. Truth is once you use the first one your enemy will retaliate with every one that he has in order to ensure you use no more. Then your allies get involved as well as your enemies allies. Then when it's all said and done everything is dead. So instead of complaining about the bomb, learn to love it, because it kept Europe and Asia from experiencing another world war and a death toll into the tens if not hundreds of millions.

Turkey has enough Academic knowledge to build his own Nuclear Reactor, if allowed. With the long story short, Turkey was ready to build his own nuclear reactor in 1970, unfortunately, it was blocked by some internal and external powers. Let me remind you also that in 1980 there was a coup in Turkey, and you know what happened, the first think General Kenan Evren did is to sign the NPT, and he not just only signed the NPT but also allowed their agents to inspect the Turkey's Nuclear Activities in the Country any time. In addition to that, you probably do not know, but Turkey was capable to enrich the Uranium 85%, or they already had the Uranium yellow paste. It was just matter of time they to get the Uranyum Izotop 235. For those familiar they will understand what I mean. Unfortunately, in 1986 under the order of then Prime Minister Turgut Ozal the Uranium Service in The Mineral Exploration Research Institute was shut down, due to some Western Powers pressure. This was the biggest coup against the Nuclear Research and Exploration in Turkey, where hundreds of nuclear physicists and engineers was laid off and left on the street. Therefore, it is not a technology or knowledge that Turkey lucks, it is a money and matter of time Turkey to have his own Nuclear Bomb. And Turkey will have it, sooner or later. And everything goes in parallel with the development of the Ballistic missiles together. And also do not forget Pakistan. What ever Pakistan has and is capable of the Turkey has and is as well, whatever Turkey has and is capable of the Pakistan has and is as well. So, you see. Turkey doesn't need that much help from other powers. At the end, why Russia, France, UK, Israel, USA and some other countries can have their Nuclear Weapons and other can or should not. If Turkey decides he will soon have it.

Building a bomb is an easy task. Nothing special. Try to make a ballistic missle without actual GPS infrastructure. And keep a vague hope that China and Russia will help you lol.

Im from Poland and I hope that Turkey does develop its own nuclear weapons. Due to the growing power of Asian countries, especially China, the world is becoming multipolar - the USA is slowly but surely is losing its status as the worlds global hegemon, and this has serious repercussions. For smaller countries, this means joining the fight for global domination on one side, losing the range of their influence, remain an independent but internationally neglected country, with some exceptions, thrown into the political garbage or becoming a player and securing their objectives with economic, political and kinetic force. Turkey can lead the way for the countries that have choosen the last option, showing an example for other countries to do whatever they want and need in their own environment. I believe that every country has the right to decide for itself about such crucial matters as defence of own independence by any means necessary.

You're entirely correct. However what you forgot to mention is that such knowledge is available to literally everyone on earth, seeing as its all in the open literature, and that to actually produce the equipment and technology for producing weapons-grade fissionable material is the hard part, which would take anywhere from between 1 and several decades.

Bilime teknolojiye ve sanata yatırım yapmak yerine saçma sapan askeri tanklara uçaklara yatırım yapıp sonra projeyi iptal ediyoruz . Valla diyecek birşey bulamıyorum.

Turkey already use small part of their weapons active in syria and libya.. Other country produce some weapons but they didn t use them in reel war...just tested it in forest...lol Lol...
