Hi Rob, thank you for making this one. I know I wasn’t the only one to ask about the subject in previous videos. I’ve never thought to take into account the “nexus event theory” as you’ve put it but now you’ve said it. It’s almost painfully obvious I didn’t see it! As you said any profit is welcome profit. Maybe splitting the investment collection into two separate branches. The percentage pile and the nexus pile. Play with the houses money you make of the percentage to fund the other or spend on whatever you wish. Where as the nexus pile would be more of a big cash in when opportunity presents itself. Brilliant advice and thanks again for making the video! Keep it up!

Really enjoy your videos. Short, precise and to the point. You balance neatly passion for the cards, the opportunities of investments and most of all, I value your objectivity. Super cool! I started collecting very late in the game, at first, dragged into it by my kids, but now, when my kids moved to new and "better" things, I am here stuck with this interest :) Human beings are hunters / gatherers. Its in our DNA, and here having the opportunity to collect / "hunt and gather", at the same time as think strategically on investments - well what else to wish for :). What I am trying to say is - your videos are great to watch, so THANK YOU.

Yeah I'm a huge fan. Wrote a dissertation on Chungking. All those you mentioned are gold. In the Mood is such an incredible film. The tight spaces, the city as a character. Just incredible all round. I'm glad someone else is a fan and got that reference in there!

30th anniversary in 2 years. i got a super premium mew & mewtwo collection box (20th anniversary) waiting to be sold at that point. just hope it's worth more than the £500 i spent on it a year or two ago.

I think the anniversaries will always be somewhat big, not always PoGo big, but smaller booms at the very least. With the hype and sales of S/V on switch, despite it's completely atrocious performance, and Pokemon company announcing no new games in 2024, potentially meaning they've listened to fans and are taking time to polish the new releases... 2025 and then 2026 (With 30th anniversary and likely Gen 10) could prove to be a pretty huge time for Pokemon. If that also coincides with the Switch 2, and we end up with a fully voice acted, well optimised, fully open world Pokemon game on the 30th anniversary... boy the hype that could bring. In that sense a 'nexus event' could be also be a 'stars aligning' moment where rather than just one singular event, multiple big things happen at once.

Oh god, how amazing would that be fully vocie acted open world. Man, that would blow the doors off. My conspiracy theory based on absolutely no hard evidence is that they are saving GEN 2 remakes for one of the big anniversaries.
