I am positively surprised by the answers of the men (and young men) in this video! I found them all pretty open minded and respectful towards women in their speech! That’s refreshing to hear the points of view of « common » people in the streets, it makes you realize people are much more intelligent and wise than what the discourses on internet suggest (like hateful comments including misogyny or racism or else that we can find on every social media...) Thank you Eileen for your great work!! The subjects you pick are always so interesting! 🙏👍👍👍

Been following Eileen for years both on and off as .a paid subscriber. For me she has the best compelling comprehensible input around. You can learn everything here I feel just in these extremely interesting interviews. I lived nearly 7 years in Mainland China and they will give outsiders a true insight into how the real life is there. I still need help to access as my Chinese is still on the low side of intermediate. Learning Chinese is an emotional journey as it is so difficult there are times when you have just had enough! But I always come back as I know so much and I can't let it all just go to waste.

How can it be that someone in the street can speak so clearly?no accent...no mixing zh,sh,ch to z,s,c...Really beautiful...how did he do it? Thank you Eileen for your hard work! In China. Mandarin is the official language that makes Chinese from different origins being able to communicate and understand government policies. People most people speak dialect with others from the same region. So most people have accent when speaking Mandarin. For Mandarin learners, I think that it’s better to be strict with properly pronunciation, that makes it easy for Chinese to understand you even though they do have accent.

If i want to learn about these unpleasant topics, i will use my free will to seek them out, but on a learning channel, I think it's best to have more pleasant subjects. Let people look into dark stuff themselves once they are fluent or if they have a personal interest. Your channel is so good. I hope you can humbly take my suggestions and see my point.
