What to do if You Can't Meet Gauge

When I first started crocheting and knitting I didn't even know gauge was a thing - ha ha! Gauge can have a HUGE affect on your final project. If you're like I was and don't know anything about gauge or if you've been crafting for years and would really like to master gauge, this is the series for you! We'll be taking an in depth look at gauge and how to master it!

There's nothing more frustrating that trying, and trying to meet gauge only to never be successful. The good news is this doesn't mean you have to scrap the whole project. In this video I share what to do if you can't meet gauge. There is hope!

    Finally someone who talks about real problems. I hate when people must have the yarn of the pattern, must be exact. Not all people have the resources to make a 150 dollar garment.

    Point well taken. My mom was a loose knitter, and she made us mittens all the time when we were teenagers, using a toddler sized pattern!

    Great question. I think it really depends on what you're making. If it's something that doesn't need a close fit, than you may not have to be too accurate. Just be sure you have enough yarn. If it's a pattern that needs a fairly close fit, you may want to think about making adjustments depending on the construction of the project.
