All I know is that anytime U$UK govts says "look over there", then most people will know the routine which means they have something to hide or they are scheming and plotting something. It is so predictable these days, when all their strategies are failing left, right and center.

I am an an Australian who have been to USA and China about equal amount of time in the last 20 years, I think the majority of the population are much better off in China and than the US. I can see from their attitude, face expressions and the way they are interacting with each other.

Lesson #1, the west don't do fair trade, it's always always "zero sum game", that's how they got rich but you gotta give credit to their superior PR strategies and word games, when they rob, invade or commit geno, they always find a lovely word to masquerade their "wonderful" deeds, like "freedom and democracy", Human Rights Watch, LOL, they are the only ones that keeps doing "freedom" invasion, "freedom" genos, "freedom" sanctions on poor defenseless nations. The only one that has a military gangsterism called NUTO, ANZUK, QUAD, etc etc etc, like an International Rules based Mafia Corporation, they make the rules up, and everybody has to follow the rules.

I've been to Shanghai twice, among other places when I was visiting China. The Shanghai visits though was a separation of about 12 years in between. Hence the 2nd time when I visited the differences were very noticeable, in terms of street cleanliness, which are evident across the country in other lesser known cities. What you have forgotten to mention is perhaps the adoption of EVs whether cars, bikes, buses etc have made you felt as if they don't exist because you hardly hear them. It's made traffic pretty quiet with EVs and also I think Shanghai has banned unnecessary honking.

As for weird food, it is true that not every Chinese eats everything. Provinces differ dramatically as much as countries differ in Europe. But I don't think eating "weird food" has anything wrong if known hazards substance is taken out and is well cooked and not for superstitius reasons. Chinese people in our long history of coexistance with nature we learn not to waste anything nature provides. As long as it is good protein it is good food. I for one like dog meat. I respect their kind is best friend to some people in other cultures but do not agree it is friends to mankind. It is livestock in the culture I grew up in and eating my livestock is not anybody else business. If it is he is racist. I don't like eating insects like some people in China do. I do think it looks disgusting. But I have no problem having it on my table and see friends eating it. Actually this kind of "mind your own business" spirit is true freedom in my opinion.

China is a vast country and if you travel from one province to another, sometimes from one city to another, you will hear people speaking another dialect. having another cuisine. There are of course less developed rural areas or the 5th & 6th tier cites where tourists seldom visit, but they are all safe and you may not even see any homeless people! I hope you have time to explore. Just subscribed.

Their mindset are impervious to "other cultures", they always have to be morally, culturally, militarily, artistically, emotionally, physically, psychologically, financially, superior, you name it, they have to be superior above all else. Something like that but the analogy of "adoption" is a bit weird. The "adoption" is mostly done at city or country level. For example the city of Beijing is in paired with a county in Xinjiang whih sits next to Afghanistan. Very poor but also very important. Beijing will send trained teachers and other professionals to that county to help them develop. Promote their agriculture products in Beijing market. Attract Beijing people to travel there. In retuan, China has a stable border and later better influence on Afghanistan.

It seems that you are studying at a university in Shanghai. As a Chinese, I wish you all the best in your studies. Your video content has depth and breadth, but unfortunately, such videos will not be favored by the platform. However, I admire your courage and appreciate your behavior of spreading the truth to the world. I live in an 18th tier small city in Guangdong. Although we are not as advanced as Shanghai, our safety is also guaranteed. Our income is not as high as that of a first tier city like Shanghai, but overall it is satisfactory. The living expenses are also relatively low, and I feel quite satisfied. Even in small cities and even rural areas, people's basic living security is not lacking, and infrastructure and safety are not much worse than in big cities, but they are definitely not as complete as in big cities. I also hope that you can take more trips to rural areas. Even remote rural areas have better living conditions, with high-speed networks, developed roads, abundant electricity, and fitness facilities for the elderly. Living in rural areas does not necessarily mean poverty or backwardness. A decade ago, our small cities and most rural areas were plagued by gun violence, drug problems, and robbery and theft, just like the United States is today. But now, even in the early hours of the morning, I can stroll on the road without worrying about being robbed. Guns and drugs are already very unfamiliar things, and when I walk on the road in the middle of the night and see cameras, I feel very reassured.

Those cameras are not to serve, but to control. They can find any one who is against the "law" or "regulation", but they never find even one human trafficking criminals, just check how many people gone missing or get their organs secretly harvested, these numbers never will be shown on the tall buildings and big roads. The cameras are to please the people who try to manage and control, are you one of them? If not, you may find it violating as your privacy is legally allowed to be monitored, people may not tend to go against law, but their privacy deserves protected lawfully.

Well if you have asthma, I recommend to avoid going anywhere in China considering it is the world's manufacturing hub and there is pretty much a factory nearby everywhere you go, so you will get exposed to some sort of chemical at least one point when staying there, but it won't matter at all because you will still get sick. My parents who grew up there were completely fine, but me and my sister had a pretty nasty fever for a few days because the air quality was really bad. Also every major city will have a lot of cars driving around like in America, so you will also have to deal with that too.

Though I appreciate the attempt to combat the negative view some have of China, this video feels like it is cherry picking. It briefly addresses the most unfounded prejudices but it fails to address any genuine concerns or credible criticisms of Chinese politics or culture. I’m sure I can visit China and have a great time. I’m also sure that living in China wouldn’t be all bad. However, the same can be said of most countries. Few are so dangerous or impoverished as to make life a constant struggle. I know someone personally who is originally from China; the picture they paint is not flattering. The truth is that China’s rapid development has been inconsistent and there are many areas that are still lacking.

China has put in a lot of effort over the past few years, especially since covid, to address some of the bad perceptions. It just takes to both to change on a large scale and to have perceptions change. However, its not quite all perfect. Air quality is bad and China relies a lot of Coal which releases lead into the air, also radioactive particles because radioactive particles are in everything. Security and police do make things safe from random or organized crime but there can be abuse as well. Many of the buildings are also unsafe in large part due to corruption. Tofu dreg buildings are common as are collapses both partial and complete. There are also a ton of ghost cities that never had anyone living in them. In terms of environmental they do try but also fail, again because of coal but also because of burring reefs in the ocean to use as military bases against international law. In the end, you are correct, different societies aren’t necessarily better than each other. Just remember in china if you get hurt because of negligence you will get very little and if you say the wrong things you will get hurt a lot.

Things do happen. The one thing I don't think western media picks up very well is how Chinese people are overworked and underpaid, but most of the issues you see on the news barely affects the average Chinese person that much... And when it does, you get things like the White Paper Revolution like late 2022. Still this video really does feel like government backed propaganda. He's unnaturally positive and focused so long on safety like if he's a 60 year old grandma, instead of talking about the fun things to do there, people being nice, shopping etc. that I'd expect someone like him to talk about.
