If you consider yourself a true fan of Asian Boss, become a member of our community to join the cause: asianboss.io
China and India are two of the most populous countries in the world and just happen to be neighbors. With the recent border dispute that has been going on, we decided to find out what Chinese people think of Indians.
The opinions expressed in this video are those of individual interviewees alone and do not reflect the views of ASIAN BOSS or the general Chinese population.

Exactly I agree with you What media shows is not exactly how it is, when you interact with people of different cultures in real life There is so much more than what media shows you . Sadly there groups of citizens who are easily influenced by media outlets and have a mental image of a country which is completely different to how it is. It's sad to talk about a country in bad note, when we literally know nothing about it and we easily beleive what been shown to us, instead of taking time and understanding .

You mentioned that many things between China and India are distorted by the media, which has led to a negative relationship between the two peoples. Do you hope that China has more free and fair media? In reality, the most impartial media in China are the few official media outlets controlled by the Chinese government, such as CCTV and People's Daily. Their reporting on foreign countries is very objective and fair, and they rarely report negative news about India. Most of the official media focus on reporting friendly cooperation projects between the two countries. Even when reporting news about unfriendly treatment of Chinese companies in your country, the official media refrains from making malicious comments. On the other hand, the so-called free media (privately-owned and individual-run media) that you mentioned often report negative news about India, such as rape cases, forced amendments to laws to impose fines on other foreign companies, drinking from the Ganges River, calling Indians dirty, and claiming low cultural standards. Reports of rape and murder are also covered by the so-called free media because these media outlets need to make money and attract viewership, so intentionally reporting negative news about India helps generate traffic. Official Chinese media, on the other hand, are not interested in your country's negative news because they don't rely on attracting audience attention to make money. You can ask other Chinese people if you don't believe it.

7:20 look at this about your country dude *"Here is a list of the countries that have territorial and border disputes with China"* Japan :1: Parts of the East China Sea, particularly the Senkaku Islands. Also, on occasion, the Ryukyu Islands, on the grounds that the completely independent Kingdom of Ryukyu was once a vassal state of China. The Kingdom of Ryukyu terminated tributary relations with China in 1874. Vietnam :2: China claims large parts of Vietnam on historical precedent (Ming Dynasty, 1368-1644). Also, Macclesfield Bank, Paracel Islands, parts of the South China Sea and the Spratly Islands. India :3: China illegally occupies 38,000 sq km (Aksai Chin) of land in Jammu & Kashmir. It also holds 5,180 km of Indian territory in Pakistan occupied Kashmir under Sino-Pak agreement of 1963. At the heart of Sino-Indian boundary dispute is the issue of Arunachal Pradesh (90,000 sq km), which China describes as "Southern Tibet". Beijing is demanding that at least the Tawang Tract of Arunachal Pradesh, if not the whole of the state, be transferred to China. Nepal :4: China claims parts of Nepal dating back to the Sino-Nepalese War in 1788-1792. China claims they are part of Tibet, therefore part of China. North Korea :5: Baekdu Mountain and Jiandao. China has also on occasion claimed all of North Korea on historical grounds (Yuan Dynasty, 1271-1368). The Philippines :6: Parts of the South China Sea, particularly Scarborough Shoal and the Spratly Islands. Russia :: 160,000 square kilometres still unilaterally claimed by China, despite China signing several agreements. Singapore :: Parts of the South China Sea. South Korea :7: Parts of the East China Sea. China has also on occasion claimed all of South Korea on historical grounds (Yuan Dynasty, 1271-1368). Bhutan :8: Bhutanese enclaves in Tibet, namely Cherkip Gompa, Dho, Dungmar, Gesur, Gezon, Itse Gompa, Khochar, Nyanri, Ringung, Sanmar, Tarchen and Zuthulphuk. Also Kula Kangri and mountainous areas to the west of this peak, plus the western Haa District of Bhutan. Taiwan :9: China claims all of Taiwan, but particular disputes are: Macclesfi eld Bank, Paracel Islands, Scarborough Shoal, parts of the South China Sea and the Spratly Islands. The Paracel Islands, also called Xisha Islands in Vietnamese, is a group of islands in the South China Sea whose sovereignty is disputed among China, Taiwan and Vietnam disputes with Burma. Kazakhstan :10: There are continual unilateral claims by China on Kazakhstan territory, despite new agreements, in China's favour signed every few years. Laos :11: China claims large areas of Laos on historical precedent (China's Yuan Dynasty, 1271-1368). Brunei :12: Over Spratly Islands. The Spratly Islands is a disputed group of more than 750 reefs, islets, atolls, cays, and islands in the South China Sea. About 45 islands are occupied by small numbers of military forces from the People's Republic of China, Taiwan, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Malaysia. Brunei has also claimed an exclusive economic zone in the southeastern part of the Spratlys encompassing just one area of small islands on Louisa Reef. This has led to escalating tensions. Tajikistan :13: Chinese claims based on historical precedent (Qing Dynasty, 1644-1912). Cambodia :14: China has, on occasion, claimed parts of Cambodia on historical precedent (China's Ming Dynasty, 1368-1644). Indonesia :15: Parts of the South China Sea Kyrgyzstan :16: China claims the majority of Kyrgyzstan on the grounds that it was unfairly forced to cede the territory (which it had formerly conquered) to Russia in the 19th century. Malaysia :17: Over Parts of the South China Sea, particularly the Spratly Islands. Mongolia :18: China claims all of Mongolia on historical precedent (Yuan Dynasty, 1271-1368). In fact, Mongolia, under Genghis Khan, occupied China. Afghanistan :19: Afghan province of Bandakhshan (despite a bilateral treaty of 1963, China still encroaches on Afghan territory). Russia :20: 160,000 square kilometers still unilaterally claimed by China, despite China signing several agreements. Your Phone :21: Because it is made in China

I hail from the northeastern region of India. One prominent issue that persists within the Indian media landscape is the consistent criticism directed towards China. Indian society, deeply entrenched in a hierarchical system reminiscent of the Guru-pupil tradition, tends to exhibit a certain lack of self-dignity. As a result, many individuals are prone to idolizing and becoming fanatical followers of popular figures, rendering them more susceptible to manipulation. In terms of cleanliness and hygiene, when we consider the Asian context, brotherly countries such as India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka often face challenges in maintaining sanitation standards, which can result in dirty and unsanitary conditions. Remarkably, despite being one of the most marginalized regions in India, the northeastern part of the country stands out for its exceptional cleanliness, making it notably more pristine than many areas in mainland India.

Excellent written records have been kept in China since ancient times. Many books record the cultural exchanges between China and India, especially Buddhism. There have been many monks visiting each other's country since ancient times. Many branches of Chinese Buddhism originated in India. But China has also contributed to Indian culture. We've helped you record a lot of history (I heard that since ancient times India has not paid much attention to historical records). Despite the current situation, I hope the people of the two countries do not hate each other.

    1. As an Indian myself I have never seen a "belly dance" it's rare to see one (at least for me.) 2. Yes, we eat from hands it's part of our culture. 3. We don't go and shove on our Plates..its obvious and basic for a person to clean his/her hands thoroughly before consuming anything. 4. I hate to agree but it's true that some parts of India are not hygiene at all. BUT there's more beautiful and highly well maintained places. 5. Medias just go on and on about India's poverty and what not (Mind you it's still a developing country and China is much more advance in technology then us). But they don't show our culture and the beauty that resides in it. 6. Not all Indians are good at maths 😂.

I think everyone in the world just needs to realise politicians globally aim to sow seeds of discord among people. They don't care about anything but staying in power. No person should judge or hate a person ever because they are from a different country or of a different race. We need as people as humans to come together more than ever now.
