Hey all! Hope you’re enjoying the video 😊. There’s a topic a few of you thought I should address and it’s her use of the term “mammalian instinct.” As someone who spends a lot of time on stage and on TV, I know how common it is to misspeak and use the wrong word or mispronounce a word. So I tend to let things slide when I feel it’s just someone using the wrong term for something. I’ve done it alot myself. The mammalian instinct has to do with the reflex all mammals share when submerged in water. It has nothing to do with protecting ourselves or our children. That said, for those who subscribe to the theory of a triune brain model. The reptilian brain is related to survival instinct and self preservation (since reptiles don’t protect their young or even, sometimes, their eggs, parental instinct is not associated to this part of the brain) The mammalian brain is connected to emotions and our emotional response to things And the neocortex is all the upper cognitive stuff (reasoning and logic) So the instinct to protect a child would come from the mammalian brain, it’s not a cognitively reasoned response and it’s not a reptilian response because that only focuses on our own survival. Now I don’t know if she’s heard the term “mammalian instinct” misused or if she made it up not knowing it’s a term with a specific meaning trying to say “my mammalian brain responded” but again messing up a term is very common and unless I feel the misuse reveals a hidden truth (think Amber Heard and the bruise kit) I tend to let it slide. I think it’s most likely that she’s heard the term and didn’t know what it meant and made an assumption and wanted to use a fancy word without knowing what it means. 🤷‍♂️

What a brilliant video and so very interesting! Thanks! I don’t like Meghan Markle for things she has done but I also find her profoundly irritating and you’ve explained why that is. The irony, however, is that I think I make all those over animated facial expressions and gestures when I speak!

Don’t worry about the mannerisms, you seem self aware so I’m sure it’s calibrated and even if it’s not, there’s nothing inherently wrong with it, some people just don’t connect with it and it tends to stick out more when talking about serious topics.

How I read what she meant was not the diving reflex but the more colloquial "mama bear" protective feeling. I think she may have heard the term and conflated "mammalian reflex" and "maternal instinct." She misused the term, but the point came across to me. Thanks again for another interesting video.

I will recognize she has a passion to “help” a cause, but it appears that the passion is not as in depth as it needs to be. Someone who is passionate about a certain topic or movement for that matter, is well-versed in the area and focuses on providing well-researched responses based on personal experience and other’s experience… something she fails to do as she focuses solely on her thoughts on what things should be… this word salad I provided makes more sense than what she has provided, imo 😅

Spidey...you are exactly right about Meghan being criticized because of the Oprah interview and not her pregnancy. Anything having to do with Archie came after his birth when Meghan and Harry started changing the royal family traditions of not giving birth at St Mary's, and not announcing his birthright away, and most importantly, the fact that at the time they both said they were not going to give their children titles, but during the Oprah interview, she complained that her children were going to be denied their birthright of having titles. Why the flip? She was trying to support her racist claim that they were not going to be given titles because the children were bi-racial, something that was completely not true. She often tells mistruths blatantly like this and expects people to forget what she said earlier, even when it can be verified through various reported sources. She sets herself up for scrutiny and then pretends to wonder why. It's almost as if she can not differentiate the truth from her delusions. It all has to do with what serves her best in the moment.

The world criticized whether she was lying or not, and also criticized the timing of the interview being done/aired when Prince Philip was dying. She chose to do the interview, she decided to do it while she was pregnant, she decided to air it while her husband’s grandfather was dying, and she didn’t like the criticism. Now she’s using her vulnerable pregnant state to garner sympathy and framing it as online bullying.

She has done everything in her power to change her appearance to look white. It wasn't that no one looked like her, it was that she didn't look like anyone else. Her conflicts were internalized. She thought the answer was defying nature and changing her own appearance because she did not want to find anyone else who looked like her. Now that little girl no longer exists.

VIEWERS: I have a question about the dish soap story. Her dad is an award-winning lighting director who worked with successful shows such as "Married With Children". In Tom Bowers' book, he describes how Thomas Markle set the entire thing up (her interview being filmed etc.) with his connections in the entertainment industry. The soap commercial was part of a social studies project the entire class was working on, it was not an idea that sprung up in Megan's head because of a feeling of injustice. This time she's left out the part about writing to and receiving letters back from First Lady Hillary Clinton, Gloria Steinem, and the famous attorney Gloria Ulrich. I think any rational-thinking adult wouldn't believe that letters from an 11-year-old's social studies class would change a billion-dollar company's marketing campaign in 30 days. Not only would I understand that the timing was a huge coincidence, but I also think that any rational-thinking adult would believe her dad when he told her he'd set this up to boost her self-confidence. I'll also mention that a reporter from the magazine "Vogue" has revealed that when he did a story on her she wanted this soap story included however it was not because nothing about her story could be verified, even by a seasoned journalist. My personal opinion is that the only reason she repeatedly tells this story is that she has nothing else to offer as an "achievement". All the woman on that panel are successful and highly respected in their fields because of a lifetime of hard work and dedication. I dare to say that the only reason one of them is there is because of a man. Without that man, she didn't have a voice anyone was interested in listening to. Opinions?

The good thing about MM is that she's consistently shoddy and that reflects in the calibre of sugars that are on her payroll. They're all scripted, regurgitating the same lines in the same style like robots. Majority, if not all, of them have a much lower command of English than she herself does, which is a rather amusing disservice to her attempts to portray a polished image. As long as she doesn't denounce the sugars, we can confidently conclude that she's using them as proxies to attack the RF. Wake up MM. High school tactics don't work in the outside world.

It's strange that Meghan talks about being bullied online while pregnant. To refute this claim I must refer you to a time when Meghan was pregnant with Archie and sat on the UK International Women's Day panel in 2019 with Annie Lennox. There she proudly claimed that she never reads online comments. One of the ladies challenged her: "so you never look online or read the comments?", Meghan reiterated "Nope... but I do read the economist, I'll give you that". So how can she be bullied while pregnant if she's not online? I know this is digressing a little, but it lends itself to reading her body language knowing that she's potentially lying - or she lied back in 2019. I find it staggering and incongruous that Meghan is smiling (almost with dupers delight) as she recounts being bullied when this should clearly emote a distressing or unpleasant recall ("cruel" is the word she used) - so why instead do we see a look of glee on her face? How can that be explained? I guess my question is do these body language indicators read the same for a person with a cluster B personality? Thank you for the education.

But the reason for any "scrutiny" of this woman Meghan arises from 1) Her and her husband doing interviews and books criticizing family via global television and in print books. 2) Acting victimized by being scrutinized on social media. We all are smart enough to know it's semantics, not truth. What's the difference here? Meghan can do all the criticizing and bullying she wishes in interviews but no one can dare criticize her on social media. Don't you get it? I agree, her approach is flawed. She has a constant victim narrative and doesn't take accountability. She can not see the difference between criticism and hate. If people behave badly then we have a right to call them out. We have that freedom of speech. She lacks self awareness and wants to label any criticism as hate and cruel. Here is an example of fair criticism..."I don't agree with the fact she took 4 private jets in a week and at the same time gave talks to the public about being aware of our carbon footprint". That's a clear case of double standards and hypocrisy. This is not a cruel comment. It's legitimate criticism backed up. We need to call out people and situations. What is not acceptable is incitement to violence or threats. But other than that criticism is OK. Not liking something is not bullying or hate. People that can't handle criticism have inflated ego, narcissist tendancies, live in a bubble demanding only positivity. Life is balance of both we need to hear and accept positivity and negativity.

Oooh I did notice. She has always had poor self control and is very transparent. Especially in moments where things/conversations/people get out of, or are beyond her control, or she is momentarily “overwhelmed” by a “ tickle” of delight, fun, slight sense of exited, wonder and ever growing megalomaniacs feeling of importance & “immortality” from continuing to get away with something, like here, knowing that everything around her is staged and choreographed by/for her and that she has people on the scene & in high places/positions willing, instructed &/or paid to do her bidding.

It is not bullying if it is questioning the legitimacy of the Royal births, considering they avoided the proper scrutiny. There are laws regarding the line of succession which she has not followed yet she has claimed titles for the children so we have every right to know that those children were born of her body and not illegally by surrogate. These laws exist to make sure the line of succession is a real legal claim for Royal births.

If we want to talk about that, the true king is a bloke in South Australia. QEII cleared it up, but the fact remains his line is the legitimate line. Lucky for the Winsor’s he’s a staunch republican and as I mentioned before when it all blew up QEII sorted it.

I made it less than 2.5 minutes in and I'm done. I just can't listen to Meghan Markle. She started off with the ridiculous fallacy that a person can only see themselves as (....fill in the blank....) if they see someone who looks like them there first. That is rubbish. How did the first person get there then? Anyone with a bit of imagination and ambition will work toward whatever goal they want, regardless. The first woman to summit all fourteen 8000 meter peaks was following only men. That didn't stop her.

I noticed too because she does this SO often. It makes her sound fake. I can't help but to wonder whether she ever contemplated or really thought deeply about these things she called 'interesting' because she describes EVERYTHING with that word, and also never actually explains why she finds them 'interesting'. "It doesn't make sense." Is another of her favourite phrases.

I think at this point, in her head, the dishwashing shop story is real. 1. No boys - she went to a private all-girls school 2. It was a class project wherein the teacher assigned this 3. Her father being a big shot, called in a favour to record a segment and featured M “writing” her letter along with others 4. During this time period, there was an outcry from many people asking that it be changed 5. It was changed but not because of her (as confirmed by the company). I wonder if anyone could de-program her at this point?

I think Meghan has learned expressions that she sometimes gets wrong. She struggles with empathy. For example she talks about when she joined the royal family it was worse for her than it was Catherine but she did not experience what Catherine did so can’t relate. Then with this Mother’s Day Picture. She says if she had done this the press would have been harder on her. If I fall over and hurt my knee it hurts me more than it would hurt someone else, this is how I think Meghan reacts to others. She just can’t relate to what others feel. She acts as it’s the only way she is able to communicate as she does not understand if it’s not directly affecting her.
