Hey everyone! Hope you’re enjoying the analysis! I have a question for anyone who watches “The View.” Do Whoopi and Sunny butt heads a lot? Do they often disagree? Based on this clip and only this clip I have a feeling Whoopi isn’t the biggest Sunny fan. When others said they should have listened to her, Whoopi smiles in a “humble brag” way but when Sunny says it and it cuts to Whoopi (at 35:55 in this video), Whoopi looks more annoyed than anything else. Now it could be because this is the 3rd or 4th time someone said they should have listened to her, it could be because Sunny’s tone is more serious and less of a joke like Ana’s when she said she should have listened. It could be a number of things but I have a feeling Whoopi gets irritated by Sunny. Is that something we’ve seen elsewhere?

Whoopi and Sunny do not but heads that much they both compete on who can say the most. Whoopi has of late been disciplining her to get her to stop talking by interrupting her. She usually does this because Sunny is being hard on a guest or will not give one of the others a chance to talk. Sunny used to give Alyssa a very hard time. She disagreed with everything Alyssa had to say , mocked her and treated her horribly. Sunny was definitely talked to because she doesn’t do it nearly as much. Sunny doesn’t like anyone who is smarter than her or anyone that is getting any kind of attention. Sunny is often wrong and Alyssa very seldom is wrong. Sunny just doesn’t like that.

In Sunny’s mind she is never wrong and she never sincerely apologizes. It’s not that Whoopi was right in Sunny’s mind it’s that she Sunny wasn’t wrong. Those apologies today must have killed Sunny because she did not want to apologize.

She literally said she was going for major surgery and wouldn’t be around. Why this was “fun” to people is beyond me

Here here! The only thing the Palace did 'wrong' was trust us to give them grace, space and privacy! Regardless of everything else, this is a family that's going through hell! Sheesh we should have given her time just to be there for The King regardless of anything else! She's never asked us for a thing, has dedicated her whole life to causes that aren't her own, she should have been able to trust us not to go nutty! And with the photo, anyone who even knows a tiny bit about her knows she enjoys photography & should know enough about her to know it was a gesture on Mother's day meant to be a nice thing!

No, Catherine has yet to be seen. The MD photo and the cancer video have been proven to be AI by professional videographers and editors, as well as two AI software analysis programs. She is still missing, as are the three children. The children didn't return to school after holiday break, even though the alleged surgery happened two weeks after school resumed. These women were forced to apologize because none have intellect or courage to call out the palace in their lies.

It irritates me that they/everyone keeps saying how the Palace handled it bad! The only thing they did wrong was trust us to give them the space & privacy they needed during a difficult time! They put a post saying she'd be taking a break till after April, she talked to us about what was going on before Easter! Catherine, The Princess of Wales has been dedicated to public service for many many years, her asking for time whilst she dealt with a medical issue should have been respected! It's not like she does it all the time or even ever before, besides whilst she was pregnant and even then, whilst incredibly ill, she still made an effort to be there for the public and her causes. She's never asked us for anything before and when she did, and trusted us to understand, half the world went crazy!!!

Well, the altered photos that they released didn’t help.

What you're allowed to talk about (free speech) and what a morally and compassionate person chooses to talk about can be 2 different things. They are back tracking because of the 'cancer' announcement. OK. My issue (having family experience serious surgery) is that it was lacking compassion regardless of cancer. Where was she? Where she said she was going to be. Recovering until Easter. Our sense of entitlement (or fun at others' expense) is disturbing.

Completely agree with you! They keep stating the Palace handled it 'wrong', yet they told us she'd be off till after Easter and that was exactly what happened! She put out the videos before Easter! And the photo was obviously meant as a nice gesture! Everyone who even knows a little about Catherine, Princess of Wales, knows she enjoys photography, she has three kids, of course she had to photoshop a little...lol. Everyone took a nice Mother's day gesture & weaponized it! Also, they usually release it to social media where a little photoshopping is fine (she didn't touch anything important!). They are dealing with stuff they've never dealt with before, I totally agree that the least we should have extended to her is grace & privacy! I felt like I would never move again, let alone work again, after my abdom surgery! lol.

Catherine altered the photo, and she released it on mothering sunday just as she releases a photo every year for that day.Last years photo wasn't even taken in the weeks before the day. It was taken the previous Autumn. The furore over the photo was stupidly hyped.

The Palace didn't mishandle the news, the commentators mishandled it! The Palace said Catherine would be out until after Easter and she had major surgery and doesn't want to talk about it at this time. Everyone should respect that and talk about something else but they just couldn't let it go.

It was the damn photoshopped photo. THAT is what triggered everything. Up till that point it was same old same old. The mishandling of it afterwards and Especially the Lies fed the conspiracy flames. It had me worried too. It wasn't just oh surgery recovery ok that's all right. No worries. Then putting out a photograph.... Doctored, no wedding ring..... I'm sorry but that was like waving a bloody steak for a pack of rabid dogs and had everyone wondering wth is really going on if she was unable to take a photo with her kids herself. Ya surgery, we can understand. But to release a mother's Day photo that.... Well.... The ones that care will show concern and be worried and speculate,. The ones that don't will take that and have fun with crazy theories. You cant paint them all with the same brush. Bottom line to me is that photo was a raw steak in a world of hungry dogs. That was the tip of the iceberg of where the palace went wrong. They compounded it by lying.... That just made those mad dogs more bloodthirsty for the truth. And the rest of us even more worried.

​@@debshipman4697Compassion would be when a person announces a leave of absence from work due to major surgery and doesn't expect to be back for twelve weeks, you don't mock and make a big joke out of it and demand to know where they are and "proof of life" during that 12 weeks. We have people take leave for surgery from time to time at my work- even the EVPs. Sometimes they take family leave and we don't even know if they or their family member has an issue. No one thinks "they'd better tell us what's wrong and keep us updated as it's a lesson in compassion and we deserve to know." I think anyone who did that would be considered a pariah. People's desire to know more was purely being nosy and gossipy. There were zero valid motives behind it.

I thought I was alone when I thought it was cruel and weird for people to think of the situation like it was a joke. Like, y’all think it’s silly and funny if she were to be dead or missing? I was so weirded out by people making the situation a joke. Kate literally got treated like she was less than human. She was a meme, all because she was having serious medical problems. Has anyone ever thought that the Palace followed Princess Catherine’s wishes? She wanted it kept private. She deserves some privacy especially because she is concerned about her 3 young children. PC is a very strong & protective person. She deserves privacy - it would be so horrible to have this news all over the news & talked about where her kids go to school. I would never want my kids exposed to that!!! UPDATE: I know they make sure their children go to school & I love how PW & PC do school drop offs etc. They are normal parents which is why I am so happy & thankful for them. My point is that I would not be surprised if they wanted her diagnosis kept private so THEY could tell their children & deal with this in private. I am well aware they go to school like all other children & the children will hear talk of it. I know PW & PC are wonderful parents. I don’t understand why ppl would think I was suggesting otherwise. The monarchy has never really fought for privacy. If that's the case now, good for them. They need to set boundaries. With that said, don't condemn previous members of the family for asking for something similar. You can hate their decisions and actions, but respect the right to privacy. This is why some people question this particular situation.

someone here said it best. she said the women were "grifting" the Princess's absence. We can see that some of the women of the View remain in their middle school, mean girl pose not caring that somewhere was a woman who didn't know if she would live lone enough to raise her 3 little children. Their body language shows Sunny continues to be an embarrassment.

The Palace issued a statement saying Princess Catherine would not take on public duties until after Easter. The public heard the memo loud and clear, the media however did their usual stirring.

I just can't understand how all of the "Where's Kate" nonsense began. It was announced that she was undergoing abdominal surgery prior to her operation and not to expect her to be back in the public eye before Easter. Obviously, this was before her cancer diagnosis. Wherever it started, it wasn't a joke and this type of assumption needs to cease. The Princess of Wales is a public figure, not public property. When the photograph was issued, nowhere did it say that this was taken recently. How many people put up an old image of themselves on Mother's Day? I did.

At least that's my take. Not that I haven't fallen into the trap at times. But most of the stuff I think is wack-a-doodle.

I'm glad you pointed this out; I was only aware of the conspiracy theories because the BBC reported that it was becoming a big thing in the USA!🤷🏼‍♀️ In the UK the Royal family aren't treated like Hollywood celebrities with constant updates, they perform a (usually boring!) role. All I know is if someone tells me they're having an op but they choose not to elaborate beyond that, it's probably something embarrassing and it would be rude to ask for more details!😱

Your impression of her is right. She’s never wrong and an expert on everything because she’s a former prosecutor. She will tell you about her former job every show. I don’t watch the View any more since Barbara left, but catch snippets of it now and then. They are just all left adrift in a giant ocean they are not prepared for.

I agree. Sarah did not want to accept any responsibility or accountability. She was the one yelling out "Where's Kate? Where's Kate?" in the show in question. Sunny was definitely the one who did not want to participate in an apology. She was sitting tall in defiance from the beginning.

How can people keep saying "I didn't know she was dealing with something serious" it's bullshit! They told everyone she's having a big operation and needed a few months off, that in itself imsays everything you need to know it's not going ro be minor if a royal needs to take time off

When I read about POW having abdominal surgery and would be on medical leave until Easter I thought she may have had a hysterectomy and needed the time to get through the hormonal shifts. Personally, it was awful and I can't imagine being in the public eye and having hot flashes all the time.

I’ve never fathomed I’d agree with Whoopi, but I definitely respected her for being respectful and dignified

She did but she didn’t. She was using her previous experience as her guide. She knew if she had played with the others, her past would have come out and she’d have been labeled a hypocrite. She tries very hard not to contradict her life experience to avoid that. Sonny just wants to play the race card.

The woman second right (Sunny, I think), actually looks annoyed, even at the thought, of having to apologise!

I don't mean to bring up the Palace to talk about Catherine Princess of Wales diagnosis, I mean it as they keep blaming the Palace and ignoring the fact that the Palace did in fact tell us what was going on - meaning she was having surgery and would be back after Easter. They never once brought up the fact that hey yeah they did tell us, we should have listened cause how they want to deal with their families medical stuff is none of our business!!!

As a Brit, I don’t understand what business Princess Catherine’s photo is of the View anyway? She is our Princess and the family photo was put out to wish us a Happy Mother’s Day, like a greeting card. It wasn’t an official photo as such and shouldn’t have been pulled. But the publication that pulled it first, was a Sussex camp, little known paper.

None of them actually said, “Catherine, I’m so sorry. I apologise.”

Everyone knew that Catherine the princess of Wales was going in for a major abdominal surgery and wanted privacy in regards to her recovery. The whole thing where everyone thought it would be “fun” to come up with these disgusting theories is beyond my comprehension. From what I understand, her medical records were breached which forced her hand in revealing her diagnosis possibly before she was even ready. I can’t think of another word besides disgusting. She was bullied and I feel horrible for her. Wishing her and her young family well.

The medical records were not breached. Someone tried to, but did not succeed. Or they were stopped before the records could be compromised. The official line, and there's no reason to doubt it, is that William and Catherine planned soon after her cancer diagnosis to inform the public on exactly the day they did, because their children would be out of school for Easter break on that afternoon, and the whole family could retreat for a private vacation, where the aftermath of the devastating news could be dealt with in a safe a controlled environment. It makes total sense to me, fits all the facts as we know them, and... could you blame them for wanting to keep their children out of that feeding frenzy, especially once cancer was on the table? There is no indication that Catherine's hand was forced. She intended to inform the public, just as King Charles had, but she had to manage it in the best way for her young family. And William knows first hand the trauma to a child coping with parents in crisis when the media gets involved. I have so much respect for both of them, trying to behave with dignity in this very common world.

Everybody knew she was sick !! She said she was having surgery.They still made fun of her.

So, the world hadn't heard from Catherine Princess of Wales, and the world went crazy with speculation, this just demonstrates what an important and influential lady our beloved future Queen really is.

The most apologetic and sincere was Alyssa. The least apologetic was Sunny. She blamed others . She also lied about not knowing anything about the Royals.

First impressions: We know where Whoopie stood already, beside her is conflicted, middle is genuinely remorseful, second from the right feels there's nothing to apologise for and this is all very silly, far right probably is sorry but she also really wants to be read as sorry so that she's forgiven.

I thought Alyssa seemed to be playing to the crowd too. In PR damage control mode. Conflicted is a good word for Sara. She looked ashamed to me at first, but her apology was weird. But then when he showed what she had said it made more sense. She didn’t say anything bad towards Princess Catherine, and more so seemed concerned about what was really happening. So being conflicted would make sense. Feeling bad about the outcome, but not bad that she questioned what was going on…? Anyways, I didn’t understand this whole frenzy. The poor woman has surgery and the fact she was still out made me instantly think she may be really ill. I hope she recovers.

It is a very sad situation when these grown women take part in making fun of another woman’s misfortune! Especially when it was well known that Princess Katherine had been ill & hospitalized for a surgery. I am glad that Alyssa & Anna took ownership of their sick humor & indifference to the another person’s sad misfortune. Though the public did not know the full disclosure of Princess Katherine’s illness, they should have been more sensitive & more conscious of what comes out of their mouths, bc they are “viewed”by many. Sunny is a sad individual! Her lack of empathy with this situation makes me not care for her, nor respect her VIEWS!!! I get the impression she is jealous of others that have a better life or position!! She comes across as a racist-towards white people, I’ve seen this in other episodes as well! Very SAD!!! Sarah did not impress with her lack of full accountability. She seemed to want viewers to feel sorry for her, which shows her insincerity & lack of empathy in her actions! Sunny has a blind spot where Meghan Markle is concerned. She will have a RUDE awakening when the truth is revealed of Meghan’s EVIL, DESPICABLE & HEINOUS behavior towards the Royal family!!!!

Sunny saying she doesn't care about the Royal Family was a lot of BS. Because every chance she got she's questioning the existence of it. That's it's antiquated, too old school for modern times, among other things. That she went to school there in London and she hated it there.

That is very interesting to know that she went to school in London, so she should have a much better knowledge of how the Royal Family work! What struck me is she was the one who bought MM into the conversation, and her careful choice of words was opposite to the feeling that she is 100% Team MM. Hers was a complete non-apology.

Sara and Sunny are awful women. There’s no way Sunny needed to bring up Meghan. It was clear Sunny did not want to apologize

This was a very good lesson to NOT feed into the media and have your own thoughts instead of jumping onto the bandwagon. I'm so glad i was on the right side of history, telling people in real life that i think she's genuinely sick.

Yeah, the rabbit whole can be a real death trap, but thankfully there are still people who think for themselves (or do a double take after first going with it). I didn't think she was sick, but did think she must have had some trouble recovering, seeing we didn't hear anything, not even a tweet. I didn't care for the photo being photoshopped, that's basically the norm these days. And my first reaction to her having cancer, was literally exclaiming "both of them?!?" But my general take, even for royal families and families of famous people, is to give people privacy when they want it. Heck, when I am at work and don't feel 100%, I don't feel like chitchatting with my coworkers. And they understand, because they are the same.

I thought it was a lovely photo, taken by Prince William of his BEAUTIFUL family… Then all hell breaks loose… just because!!! Princess Catherine, takes beautiful photos, that have bypassed the media & that’s why they were so pissed…

I watched The View once when I was in America. Terribly rude people, even to each other.

The one in yellow, I didn’t necessarily view it as pity seeking, but that she was saying it added an entire new level of shame to the situation for her. To have her own friend to have gone through something similar and it never occurred to her that it was happening to Princess Catherine. Like a “ I REALLY should’ve known better” moment.

What I cannot understand is the palace informed the public in late December that Princess Catherine was going for abdominal surgery and would be back around Easter yet, even way before Easter, people were playing “Where’s Kate?” Why? It wasn’t like Easter passed and she still hadn’t returned to public duty with no updates. She wasn’t due back yet!

Well… they *are* famous public people… even if they aren’t “celebrities”. One could argue that heads of state are *more* relevant than, say, actors. If an actor is a terrible person, we just don’t watch their movie. If a head of state is a terrible person, we have genocide, war, famine, etc. Like it or not, the world is and is justified to be interested in the health of a ruling royal family.

I really didn’t understand that furore over the photo, none of the central elements, the mother with her 3 children was altered. Who cares about a bit of sleeve, a hem and a zip?? Everyone tidies up those small elements in photoshop!! Most celebrity photos are tidied up.

First 5 seconds: Sunny jumps off screen as being contemptuous and defiant -- definitely not sorry. Yellow dress looks angry or defiant-not sorry. Brown shirt (middle) looks down, brows up, relaxed face-I’d guess she’s truly sorry. Black dress looks are neutral, can’t really tell, but based on her immediate reaction is she truly regrets her choice of making fun of Princess Catherine. Well, isn’t that interesting? Spidey, it’s amazing how a quick read conveys so much ahead of even saying a word. I purposely don’t watch ‘The View’ and it’s been a few years because I just hate the sniping at each other. I will say I’m most surprised at how much Sunny seems to have changed. I’m very appreciative of how you maintain decorum on your channel. There was an old B&W TV cop show and the tag line was ‘just the facts, ma’am’. On Spidey’s channel it’s ‘just the facial expressions and body language, folks’.😉☮️❤️

Who are these women and why are any of their opinions on UK issues relevant? Maybe they should all stick to discussing hair, makeup and cosmetic surgery, since they all seem to be experts on those subjects. Half-hearted apologies for piling on to arguably defamatory conspiracy theories knowing very little (as the big-haired orange-clad woman said herself) don't count for much. I don't see a lot of real contrition here. I do see some gigantic egos.

HRH, Catherine , Princess of Wales gave a statement that she was going for an operation & WOULDN’T be back until Easter… Catherine put 1 photo out of herself and her BEAUTIFUL children for Mothering Sunday (U.K.) and then stated that she’d “Messed Up!” What happened after this was just disgusting…

First 5 seconds, just a guess. The one in the orange doesn’t agree and isn’t sorry. I think the gal that talked most is probably most apologetic. The lady in yellow is interesting, she nods, a single nod-I read a lot into this nod. I don’t think she’s sorry necessarily-I think she went with the group consensus and could go the exact opposite.

Sunny doesn’t feel sorry in my eyes, she doesn’t even pronounce a verbal apology. She only said „I HAVE TO take blame for myself“, but she doesn’t do it. Verbal dinstancing. „I blame myself“ would show that she takes responsibility. But even then, it would still not be an apology

The palace said from the beginning that Catherine would only be seen by or after Easter. So what didn’t they understand??? What??? They behaved disgustingly, no excuses, l am sorry. Why should the palace give the same details all the time. They were not allowed to tell the truth, it was up to Catherine to do so and her children were the most important at that moment. She wanted to tell the children first when they started their first day of holidays. The Palace treated Fergie badly when she was caught out in an extra marital toe-sucking incident???? How? Fergie never complained, so why do these women? In fact the Queen remained mutually friendly with Sarah, the Duchess of York after her divorce, and continued to keep in touch with her on a weekly basis whenever possible. Diana was the daughter of an hereditary Earl and therefore also a member of the nobility. Both women and QE were also mutually respectful. Diana, like many divorcees, fell out with her husband and she had more adulterous affairs. However,unlike others, Sarah and Diana were both likeable and loyal to the crown.

The Palace handled the news the same way any workplace would have handled notifying that a employee being absent for an extended time. 1 It's not their place to give more information than what they are told. 2 They may have not been given all the details. I didn't tell my company why I was out for 3 months, except that it was for an emergency surgey. I shared why later when I had come to terms with my cancer diagnosis.

The cancer diagnosis was a surprise to Catherine and possibly her doctors. When she initially went to the hospital she thought she would be back after Easter. Now that date is going to be up in the air. A true apology does not include criticism of any parties in any way…ie. The press, the palace, her family, whoever. I didn’t hear one true apology from anyone. What difference does it make how the palace handled this situation. There are still many pieces of information we do not know and have no right to know. Her surgery went well as she said and that she is getting well. But the results of the surgery could still be a life changing event. There are still people out there that think Catherine, Princess of Wales is not with us any more! What has happened to us as people that we cannot control our mouths. People just have no filter any more. It saddens me.

Thank you for a great session. I'm over the panel blaming the RF for how they managed the photo released! The team clearly have bias of the RF, suggesting MM&H have been treated. How about that team do some investigation & see what the world sees , the lies, deceit by MM&H.

First 5 seconds without seeing this whole analysis... the ones in yellow and red are going to resist, the one in the middle is going to be noncommittal, and Whoopi and lady on the end will be the ones arguing it was wrong to play along with, ' where's Kate'.

Sunny/Sonny looks incredibly defiant and very much not sorry whereas the others are making eye-contact with each other as if they actually are sorry and are giving Whoopie credit for having told them they were acting inappropriately.

The last woman reminds me more of the "I am sorry I got caught" more than true regret for the action. I don't think the lady in yellow was really that sorry either, more embarrassed.

I wish more people would stop watching that show. I purposely refuse to watch anyone engaging in the “where’s Kate.” The palace already made a statement. Katherine was recovering from surgery. No need to wonder at all. People creating their own news cycle drama because it’s easy. Like a pack of vultures. The way the whole drama was fabricated and fed off of sickened me. I won’t bother listening to anything else from any of those people.

As a British person living in the States, i want to thankyou for your respect regarding Catherine Princess of Wales. I joined your subscription as i can see you are a decent youtube creator! Only one i think is genuine, out of all of them is Whoopi. She's aware she doesn't have enough knowledge about the monarchy to really comment. Would be interesting to see what the body language would be if they were to talk about it with a family members or close friends. Would it be different?
