Nice, I'm in the neutral zone in western Colorado. It would be too hard for an invading force to hold. Very similar to Afghanistan. Guerilla warfare, hiding in the mountains.... Quick attack and dissappear into the mountains. We've seen how well thats worked in Afghanistan for the last 40 years. Graveyard of empires. If the mountains are your backyard, you have a huge advantage... even over technologically advanced militaries

The attention to detail, the commitment to world building, and the intricate plots are part of what make The Man In The High Castle worth watching, even when as it takes its time getting to where it wants to go. The performances range from good to great, and every character feels like they're living in the same world.

I stumbled upon this show a couple years ago and loved it. Very interesting especially to history buffs.

Outside of the concept, and the stunning visuals... The most amazing part of this show for me was seeing so many places that I easily recognize from my own life plastered with Nazi and/or Imperial Japanese iconography.

The series was great in the beginning and in concept, but at around season 3 it began to go downhill, they begin concentrating more on the alternate reality concept and away from more country/military conflict that I would have expected from a Nazi and Japanese alternative reality, and then the series reached rock bottom when they had to abruptly end the series, concluding on a unsatisfactory ending and leaving many questions. I really wished they kept the sci fi stuff to the side and concentrated more on the conflicts within the GNR and JPS, there was so much wasted opportunity with this series.

I thought the story wrapped up pretty well. John Smith died, and his associates decided to renounce Natzisim, thusly calling off the bombing that was supposed to happen on San Fran, that was left to the Americans, by the surrendering Japanese. Sure, a bit of a cliffhanger, but we know what happened.

True the only sci-fi element the story needed was that it was just a alternative reality and no weird videos and shit from normal reality.

I wish the show focused more on the Cold War between the victorious Axis rather than the ultimately very minor rebel factions and individuals. And even with all that went wrong, we didn’t even get a finally nuclear payoff between the Japanese and Germans.

I love the series but I started to lose interest when they introduced the sci-fi aspect (multiverse plot). I like how they portrait the life under the axis rule, just wished they focused on that rather than the sci-fi side.

For those who didn't know the Nazis had a unclear project that could have given them atomic bombs by 1942. But the British sank the ship carrying heavy water and the only heavy water in the EU that was known at that time. Also, they wouldn't be able to drop it but use subs and then lunch it via Torpedo.

The show ends the same way it does in the novel. Philip K. Dick always had a way with ending a book. It was his writing style and I feel like the show emulated it well although many people who aren't into his book may not understand.

Really loved this show. Ye i know a lot of people didn't like the whole mixing of alternate realities, people cbeing able to travel between and such, but personally it really enticed me, because i'm a total sucker for sci fi, so seeing a show so realistic include some sci fi elements really drew me in a lot. The whole concept of Nazis winning the war and how the world was different is intriguing by itself, but the alternate realities was like icing on a cake.

I think it’s still a great show but what brought it down for me is the alternate dimensions and the movie tapes. This is such a fascinating concept and this is a show that could have really gone anywhere other than what it did. Really wish it could have been a bit different

This show had sooo much potential, unfortunately i stopped after S3, i just don't feel it anymore, it was sooo good up till S2

The most terrifying thing about this show is this could’ve easily happened. If all our naval ships were at Pearl Harbor that day America would’ve lost the war before they even got involved in the war. And if Hitler hadn’t of invaded Russia Germany would still be ruling Europe and parts of Africa giving Hitlers scientists plenty of time to figure out the atomic bombs and nuke the US and other enemies.

Silly silly silly. The destroyed fleet at Pearl Harbor was quickly replaced while quite a few ships were raised and repaired. Plus the USA produced many more as its war industry jumped into high gear. Pearl Harbor only gave the Japanese a few months of free play but everybody knew the USA would be back with many more ships, men, fighters, bombers, etc. etc. Both Japan and Germany weren't fit to fight wars in the major league, which is why they had to deliver a knock out blow to their greatest enemies, capturing more territory and raw materials so they could prepare for the second round. The only way Germany could have won World War II is if Hitler hadn't come to power. Because Hitler's main goal was to invade Russia and create a Great German Empire spanning from Paris to Moscow. Also, he shouldn't have wasted enormous resources on building his pocket battleships like the Graf Spee, Bismarck and Tirpitz, etc. If Germany had instead focused on producing many more U-boats, they would have strangled Great Britain, forcing the British to surrender before the USA could even enter the war on their side.

This was a great series that was not allowed to run a bit longer to a proper conclusion. The ending felt forced, and it doesn't make sense why. The series was just heating up with the multiverse concepts. The series had good reviews, ratings and was doing well. I felt some powerful people behind the scene forced Amazon to cancel this series.

@@lupercalrising2208 yeah but the maker of the man in the hogh castle series on prime video didn't exactly follow the book and in interviews in became clear that they thought about it but they didn't bc they heared they were getting cut off from producing so they were forced to quickly make an end to rhe show, if they weren't cut off they would've followed the book in the beginning but then made into somthing else so even the ones that read the book would've been surprised those were the thoughts of the directors and writers, until amazon came and crushed it even though it would've made a banger of a series thay would've lasted like 12 seasons and would've been a great rivel against the walking dead

I really enjoyed the alternate history aspect of this show. I was interested to see how the resistance fights against the nazis and all the differences and similarities between the show timeline and our timeline. John Smith I especially found to be an interesting character. I was ok with a bit of alternate dimension shenanigans, but they just kept getting dumber and dumber and it got to a point where I didn’t even bother watching all of season 4.

Never liked Julliana crane since she had an ego got people unnecessarily killed the relationship with joe could've been a lot more but they decided to take him out of the series. And the ending was totally disappointing a good build up but the end was just rushed and it didn't go with a bang but a wimper...

@@BrandonToy nah i liked that part cus it made you wonder what happened when in our reality it would have been the civil rights movement w hints to alternate reality panthers just like how there was alternate reality j edgar hoover. it def could have been a better final season or multiple seasons but i disagree about the too political stuff. i was also left wondering wtf happened to the rest of the world once the nazis leave America lol are we basically back in pre occupied times w nazis still thriving? what about nukes? also your telling me there was a gate open to multiple timeline realities and thats a good thing not bad??

On the map it shows that Germany has Italy annexed alongside their European axis allies except Japan. As for Japan they also have their ally Thailand annexed. This is the time stamp of the map 0:30

@@FroppyVA yeah I saw that but from what I’ve heard about the book Italy controls majority of Africa, the Middle East and some parts of the Balkans but I assume the show just glossed over that.

first couple seasons were good but really went off the rails for the last few seasons. really cool concept and alternate universe for a tv show tho

Just an advice to my friends from Western world: what Nazis used was not swastika, it was "'Hakenkreuz ". Swastika is sacerd to Indians, we are proud of it, we respect it.

This was a great show.

@@arnavsamaddar6638a couple of things 1. they were never going to be Allies. The USSR was communist and left wing and Nazi Germany was right wing fascist. 2. Even if they somehow put their ideological differences aside, they together wouldn’t have been able to invade the Western Hemisphere because of the United States Navy. The Nazis couldn’t even cross the English Channel let alone the entire Atlantic with an invasion force.

I watched this series on TV. Very intriguing story; however, I was very disappointed when the Man in the High Castle revealed himself.

I felt the despair the whole time I was watching this twilight zone. I can’t believe people still think America isn’t the one of the greatest things that has happened to humanity--they’re continuously trying to crush peoples hope!

A pretty riveting and compelling Elseworld I didn't know it was based off a book. I've enjoyed seeing DC do a couple similar tackles of this concept like the animated Justice League 3-part Season 1 finale and the huge Arrowverse crossover event "Crisis on Earth X".

This was interesting as hell! But I was dead at 4:30 😂

I was intrigued with the alternate history but then when you mention the sci-fi aspect i'd rather not watch. I wanted to watch the military strategy, the diplomacy. Somehow i always think the idea of two reality collided and make a desired outcome for both world is kind of a cheat code
