This is a show you really want to experience in full, there's so many interesting directing choices; without dialogue, one take, one structured like a play. Really good show.

This recap was largely spoiler free. So do yourself a favor: if the show seems interesting, avoid spoilers and watch the show. The layers of this story are deep and it's themes are many. Every time you think "that's the final twist" there's another one, all the way up to the final scene of the 4th and final season. The cinematography is phenomenal, never being quite sure if what we're seeing is actually what's happening. This show belongs in a category of shows that can't be ranked, it's so consistently good. incomparable. so avoid spoilers and go see it. btw, I love this recap!

one of my favourite shows! thank you for recapping this but I'd still recommend watching the entire show. The music, cinematography, acting - everything is all on point. The story is also deep and has a lot of mind bending plot twists. Rewatching the show after the s4 plot twists is like watching a completely different show.

Mr robot is one of the only series which show real hacking and real mental/economical/illegal issues exist. (Ok yall, so I have started debates in the reply sections, let me make this clear. When I said 'real' hacking, I didn't mean actually hacking anybody. I meant unlike other usual shows and movies, this does not bullshit you with fake hacking, it shows real tools. Even if the 'pc' hacking is obviously rigged to BE hacked, they at least show us actual tools that are made for hacking. I know this isn't real hacking, but what they have SHOWN us is real.

Have to say that Rami Malek( playing the hacker) has the appearance that really fits the role - introverted, yet intelligent and dangerous character.

I watched this show for 1 week straight and finished every single episode, I loved this show so much and I wish there was more episodes and seasons but it's fine how it ended. I'm glad you're making a recap on this, it deserves it.

Been almost two years to the day since I finished watching this show. Nothing has come close since. Phenomenal in every way

No, you didn't understand the show. When they hacked the E Corp, world went into shit. Elliot later said himself that the E Corp is a "necessary evil" and he reversed the hack by giving E Corp a key to restore the data.

This is truly a really good show. I've never sat through a full season and binged it nonstop before this. If this recap piqued your interest, go watch it! Have been waiting for this show from Mystery Recapped :)

As you gain more knowledge about how vulnerable every system around you is, it becomes harder and harder to stay on the correct path. The hardest part is to not follow where your curiosity takes. BTW it seems like a cool show. No made up things. Every attack and tool that was told in the video is real.

I'd be happy to see someone like Elliott zero out politician bank accounts.

A programmer usually thinks a lot about coding, and after a time, thinking becomes a habit. He start to think about everything, and thinking too much makes someone sad, and for some programmers it may be like mental illness. (In "inside out" movie, we see, sadness knows more than other emotions). Introverts can be better programmers, because, thinking is their habit. A hacker is special programmer, so he thinks more differently and finding flaws in everything becomes habit. Undestanding human behaviour is another skill for a hacker. A hacker need to know, what someone like, eat or do. And hackers are good at reading people. So, Elliot is better than a professional psychologist at understanding other's emotions. The thinking habit and finding flaws in everything help to understand people and society. And programmers are fast learners. Every terminal screen we see on Mr. Robot is created like real scenario, so it looks like real hacking. They wrote a virus only in two hours, but it took enough planning to send the virus to target server. (In real word, it works same way) You can compare Elliot with real world top hackers. A hacker risk everything to achieve his goal. So, it is about determination and it is different philosophy (l do not know how to explain it). There is also other points. No movie will ever be realistic. Or else it would be boring to most. No it’s no realistic. Or practical. There’s just more legitimate keywords and actual software / hardware being name dropped.

Guys you must understand that this is literally just the first episode or 2. It is legitimately a great show, and goes way deeper than this video portrays. It can easily make it in your Top 3 greatest shows you've ever watched, assuming you don't dislike the genre. Right up there with shows like Breaking Bad in my opinion, although different.

No it's a DDoS attack too. If the rootkit causes the thing to happen it's still both if it is still using multiple devices' servers to become untraceable and flood the system all at once. Whoever injected it must be an internal cause which means one of the workers there are at fault.

This show is awesome but the story is pretty hard to follow if you don't watch it properly.

this is how I felt I finished Introduction to Cyber security

Usually, every show or movie I watch I rant at them, critique them (in my head mostly) when the writing cheaps out or uses cliche unashamedly. But this show, Mr Robot, humbles me. Masterful characters, writing, dialogue, cinematography. One of the very few shows I would rate 10/10. Must watch before you die.

This is one of the most compelling tv series I have watched. I wanted it to have more seasons but the showrunner only wanted it short. It's a good watch 8.5/10.
