Fun fact: Using a leg a lamb as a murder weapon likely comes from Roald Dahl’s short story “Lamb to slaughter” Where a suburban house wife murders her husband when he asks for the a divorce with a frozen leg of lamb, and then cooks and feeds it to detectives later, effectively destroying the murder weapon. Very in theme for a John waters movie

What's funnier about Kathleen Turner's casting in this film is that five years later, she would go on to star in Sofia Coppola's The Virgin Suicides as the religious, domineering Mrs. Lisbon, who exerts control her daughters' lives and keeps them confined to their quiet Michigan suburb. In the same decade, Turner stars in two films that both take digs at domestic jobs and suburban life.

John Waters is definitely an excellent example of an “acquired taste”, but one that you become firmly hooked on if you give his films a shot and enjoy his willingness to follow his own rules and his creative originality. Serial Mom is arguably one of the best “mainstream” films he’s done over the years, and I’d dare say that it ranks up there with Polyester as my favorite film from him. He was recently released from the hospital following an accident, so I hope he makes a speedy recovery. The world just wouldn’t be the same without the world’s most delightful filth elder. ☺️

When I first saw the original Hairspray after seeing the 2007 movie I thought 'meh' or 'bland', then I enjoyed it closer tot he need (i.e. the bomb in the wig), then the next thing I knew I was looking him up, then coming back to Hairspray, then I was rewatching scenes from Hairspray, Cry Baby and Serial Moom over and over again
I love the scene when she’s holding the knife over the head of the woman trying to watch Annie, and she looks at the knife, and says nothing, but she exchanges the knife as a weapon for the food instead. She says nothing, but it was as if you could read her mind while she was just looking at the knife. She was probably thinking…I’m too old fashioned for knives! 😂

been watching you since 2017 and you’re still one of my favorite channels on this platform!
Phone Guy : [Night 1] Hello, hello? Uh, I wanted to record a message for you to help you get settled in on your first night. Um, I actually worked in that office before you. I'm finishing up my last week now, as a matter of fact.
Man james, you've just been KILLING it, i am so proud of you guys for just not only improving but also staying strong through everything. Good job.
18:36 Not the first bit of on stage antics by Donita of L7. One of her and the band’s most famous antics is throwing a used tampon into the crowd at the 1992 Reading Festival.

Underrated horror comedy.
I strongly appreciate you seperating your content James! I mainly come here for the kill counts and it helps!
When Molly is licking James' toes, you can see how uncomfortable the poor woman holding her is. She's just got that 'I so don't want to be here right now' face.

“Honey they missed autumn big time” 😂😂😂 that’s one of my favorite jokes from Zack and Cody!
It's really amazing and honor to see how far this channel has come ✌🏼
Thanks, James, great video of a cool film that I haven't thought about in years!
