Aye Dakota I’m a 6’5 175 lb sophomore that wants to play pro what advice would you give to me that you wish you knew when you were my age?
@headhoncho9568 Жыл бұрын
I dont know if you gonna read this, but Im really into food and healthy eating for athletes, and your diet got quite some flaws, they you dont know. For example, you said that Cinnamon Raisin Bread, is a great source of protein, which is not really true, it has per slice just as much protein as fat (2g= 0,1 oz) but in that case, its weat protein which is harder to diguest, so you only get like 0,07 oz of protein per slice. Secondly you said the same thing about the Oatmeal, that is true. Oatmeal can be a great source of protein in the morning, but not the Quaker one, it has loads of sugar, 3 times as much as protein, so 12g (0,6 oz) of sugar and 4g (0,2 oz) of protein per serving, the better alternative would be just plain oats with the almond milk and put it in the microwave for a minute with some dried berries. Lastly the peanut butter, I dont know what your goal is, if you wanna gain weight, thats a great way because it is high in calories, it is also high in "heatlhy" fats because of the nuts. But its also high in sugar around 0.2 ounces per table spoon, It is high in protein tho with around 0,2 oz per table spoon, but some of it is due to soy protein which is generally not too good for men because its structure is close to the female hormone Estrogene. Thank you for reading, im not from the us and this is probably not my greatest text in english If you, or any one else want to learn a bit more about food, let me know
@DragonWarrior1524

i think with peanut-butter it's better if you get a brand that is only peanuts in salt. You usually just have to mix it because there is no hydrogenated palm oil to help emulsify it. He didn't show what they give after practices but im assuming at some point he's given protein shakes, which is the easiest, cheapest, and highest bio-availability of almost all protein sources

Im 6‘5“ 16y/o and 240lbs, whats the safest way to cut down while not risking any height issues (not growing to max height)?
@DragonWarrior1524
Жыл бұрын
@@ANDR14. Geez youre huge lol, i just got to 190 at 6'6" and im 23. I'd say maybe eat at slight deficit and just lift pretty hard. You're at the perfect size and age that you have enough fat to not starve out or doing a lean muscle gain, which is real tricky unless you know what you're doing. I doubt you'd cut height though, and if you're like me i capped out around 16/17. Just get sufficient protein, eating a balanced, whole food diet, while supplementing whey to cover the missing amount of protein left
