I am a full-time working Mom who needs quick, easy, zero-carb ways to stay on track. In an office environment, there are so many tempting foods that I always make sure I have plenty of good meat on hand to help me push through. Carnivore or Keto there are lots of good options in this video of things you could eat cold or warm up in the microwave. Let me know what your go-to options are for packing lunch.

Hi Laura, I live in Phoenix like you do. Could someone address the skyrocketing meat prices and suggest to us carnivores some alternative cuts of meat or other places to source meat? Thank you. Love your videos! You keep it real!!

I bake my bacon in the oven and store it in the fridge. When I want some, I microwave it for about 1 min and it comes it hot, crisp and delicious. The flavor is much tastier baking it in the oven than in a pan on the stove. I have directions if anyone is interested.

@@kellyhughes4590 Hi, here is how I bake my bacon in advance: I place a cookie cooking rack on top of a large “rimmed” cookie sheet. Then I put the “thick cut” bacon slices (We like the Wright applewood thick cut bacon) on top of the cookie rack spreading them flat in single file. (I take the bacon right out of the fridge, not room temp). Then I pop them into a “cold” oven and turn the oven to 400*. Bake for about 30 mins or until crispy. (Every oven is different) Once baked to your liking, I immediately remove the bacon from the rack and place onto another cookie sheet lined with paper towel to absorb the grease. (If you wait too long the bacon will stick to the rack once cooled) I then put the bacon into a sealed container in between paper towel layers and place them into the fridge. When I need to reheat the bacon, I put them on a microwave safe plate and nuke for about 1 min. This method makes the bacon so tasty vs frying in a pan. Plus it last a long time in the fridge because it’s cooked. PS. I bought a cheap, clear heavy duty plate from Walmart to reheat bacon as some microwave safe plates are not really microwave safe and may cause some plates to crack. I learned this the hard way. OR you could use a microwave bacon cooker to reheat. but I dislike cleaning these with all the grooves. Also it’s ok to slightly undercooked your bacon as it will cook a little more when you reheat it. Hope this helps! Enjoy!

Oven method is my favorite. No muss no fuss, and easy to get the rendered fat into a container for cooking. I do bacon on parchment paper, start off cold, cook at 375, flipping when the ovens preheated, and then another 8-12 minutes, depending on how crispy I want my bacon. I love it straight from the fridge.

Make bacon at home by the sheet pan-ful in the oven, and bring it cold in plastic bags and then you can zap it in the mic for 20-30 seconds with paper towerl over it. Or do like me, bake it until it's SUPER done and crispy and pack it, and eat it cold, without nuking it. It's delcious. Like bacon jerky. Making bacon in the mic at work from raw is messy and probably irritates coworkers.
I make ahead roasts (beef or pot) in the crock pot(low 6-10 hours) and shred the meat… put in smaller containers with a pad of butter and then mix up the seasonings I add in each container for variety with a few cheese curds if I feel I need a little extra… awesome filling lunch for my 12-hour shifts!!
Thank you for the chicken salad idea, it’s a great break from beef when I need it! Two months into this new way of life!
For me, once I started doing Omad, the day became simpler. No more lunches to deal with. Thanks for the recipes. The egg muffins will be in my "to do" list.
Thank you. Something I use at school: meatballs, prepared the night before, then topped with cheese and reheated in the microwave. Meatballs are seasoned in a variety of styles.Sometimes I use the egg drop soup together with the meatballs (Steak and butter gal).

Thanks! I I love bacon but hate cleaning it up! I might even try this in the air fryer. Can you put paper towels in the air fryer? Anyway lately one thing I found that has been pretty easy is to cook bacon in the Insta pot on the sauté mode. Because it’s so deep the grease dosnt fly around the room And bonus if you’re going to use it for an Insta pot recipe next.
BINGE WATCHING your videooooooos !!!! Thank you, Laura, for every video you take the time to make!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks, Laura. I like your down to earth approach to the carnivore diet. If you can't sustain it, you won't succeed. Congratulations on your and your husband's success on thecarnivore diet...and for sharing what you've learned!
i was shocked to find that shredded cheese has added carbs (the anti caking agents) I now buy it as whole and shred myself. Thanks so much for the lunch ideas--going back to the office shortly and I wasn't sure what I was going to be taking.
Been watching you for a long time! I have to say, this is one of my favorite videos of yours that I have seen! Very practical, useful and helpful info! Thanks and I appreciate you. 😁👍
I cook bacon in the microwave frequently. Put the paper towels on a paper plate and microwave. When it's done you throw it all away-- absolutely no mess! Thanks for the ideas.
My solution for what to eat at work is, I don't. I make sure I wake up early enough to toss a steak or cubed roast in the air fryer, and sometimes I'll fry 3-4 eggs. At work, I'm seldom hungry, but I keep a bag of home made jerky in my locker in case I want to nosh on something. When I get home, it's more beef in the air fryer, or sometimes I'll brown some ground beef and add some butter or bone broth for my other meal of the day. People at work think I'm strange because they're all starving by lunch time, and I'm sitting there with a bottle of water.
Have you tried the Egglife wraps? They are so good, I’m hooked on them!!
I remember your loaded chicken salad video. I make a modified version to take to parties. Instead of mayo, I use full fat sour cream, shredded sharp cheddar, and crumbled bacon. It’s always a hit and it’s great with pork rinds.
Great ideas. I am a line cook at the college here- It is hard to stay on track, but I am doing it. I started bringing my lunch, and you have given me some really good ideas. Thanks.

It’s crazy how I don’t want anything other than meat and fat. Mind blowing, no cravings or hunger. Don’t even think about sugar at all and not bothered about what others eat I buy way less stuff too One meal a day is the biggest win and it is SO simple
I like to undercook a steak so that when I heat it up later in the microwave it’s still juicy and tender. I also slice it up before I heat it in the microwave and only cook for 30 seconds to warm up, and maybe a little more if needed. It works pretty good!
I'm late to reply, but this is great content! I'm so happy to see that you "cheat" zero carb, just a little, to allow for pickles etc... to make quick/easy meals convenient/tasty. Thanks for doing what you do, and keep it up!
Cheesy eggs (scrambled eggs with shredded cheese) topped with sour cream & banana pepper slices & some juice. Oh my!
I make bacon at home in the oven, then when I get to work, I reheat it on foil in the toaster oven and it comes out perfect every time!
I love your practical approach to all the meal preps - Thank you for sharing !!
I love that you're really ramping up your channel! I like doing smoked turkey roll ups with cream cheese and pickles.
Never thought about egg cups for lunch. I now know what is for lunch tomorrow!
One of my very favorite snacks/meals is crispy fried chicken livers cut in quarter sized pieces. I love these as a pocket food when I'm out hiking. Beef liver would work too though. Use plenty of salt.
I love your hair at this length! Also, I’m so excited to be back on carnivore after 6 months of crazy binge ED flare-up. Feeling strong and grateful for the help!
Thanks for this! I’m a nurse, and finding things to take to work is SO useful!
Thanks for the ideas. I have been doing keto for 3 years and lately I have been wanting to switch to going carnivore. Even though I have lost 30 lbs., I still have some fat around my stomach that I need to get rid of and I haven’t been able to lose it. I need to get away from all the keto snacks and keto baked goods.
Thank you Laura for expanding my carnivore lunch food list this is just what I needed as being a new carnivore.😀
Thank you for doing what you do. You’ve really kicked me in to gear with all of your content!
I cannot eat any dairy, vinegar, eggs, 99 percent of the spices out there without getting very sick. Before I went carnivore I thought I could eat everything but I found out that I can't and have to eat a VERY strict menu in order to feel good. So those of you who can eat chicken salad I envy you!
New subbie that COMPLETELY identified with your intro video and binging on vids. I'm so over the cycles of up and down. I've packed on the pounds during the pandemic for a myriad of reasons- mostly emotional triggers related to loss. I'm back on my healthy weight loss journey reboot and on day eight of carnivore (down 6 lbs), yay! Great ideas. Meal prep this week: batch of bacon cheeseburger scramble, boiled eggs, sausage links, hamburger patties, smoked gouda, thick cut bacon, smoked chicken, ribs, with no sauce. We'll also likely have a fresh steak or two during the week, but not my favorite meat. I have to make everything as convenient as possible for right now. Thanks for all these great ideas! I'll be trying a version of the egg cups and eventually the cheese chips. Also, if there is a toaster oven at work, you could wrap fresh bacon in foil packet and cook it that way.

get a convection/toaster oven at work to reheat meat. At home I specifically cook red meat rare so when I reheat it at work, 2 minutes, it comes out medium rare. For chicken though I do thoroughly cook that. But a small oven is the way to go vs a microwave.
Thank you for this. I think this is probably the best video I ever saw! It’s so helpful and realistic and doable. I love my burgers don’t get me wrong, but this helped me so much. I appreciate this video so much!!
I was going to say my favorite to make is the Costco, because I do get it crispy. A hint my aunt does when cooking in the microwave is to use a couple of the all white paper plates then cover it with either another one or a paper towel. Helps a little bit with all of the grease
Laura, thank you for making carnivore meal prep a breeze! Got my grocery list ready to go :)

Put a paper plate under the paper towels when making microwave bacon so the grease does not go through. No mess!
Thanks for these great ideas!! I have an appliance that I keep at work called Hot Logic that heats up food without drying it out. I store my leftovers and foods that I intend to bring to work in a covered rectangular Pyrex dish (purchased separately and fits perfectly in the Hot Logic). I can bring pre-cooked burger patties with a little of the grease and they heat up nicely. For a tasty flavor, top with some Boursin cheese. I've heated pulled pork and chicken in the Hot Logic, too. I find it works best if there is some sort of cooking juices/fats or butter on the bottom of the dish. The meat stays moist. Reheating time is 60-90 minutes, typically. Purchased on Amazon.
