    Jason, if you haven't already, look a sawyer squeeze water filter (large, not the mini). Threads fit perfect on smartwater bottle. Just dont let the filter freeze.

    Do you ever use any kind of deer calls, if not, why not?

  • @tradbowpodcast

    I do and do not. I have not carried a call in many years. But I can do a couple calls with just my mouth and have used that on occasion to bring a buck closer. But I think the woods in most places are over called.

    Good video. Just out of curiosity I’m wondering if you actually make a list before each hunt what you would like in each pack?… Or you just know.?… I’ve always heard a dull pencil is better than a great memory any day of the week….

    @@tradbowpodcast thanks for the reply, im currently planning on buying the pintler, but having second thoughts on the metcalf 50. the metcalf has expandable storage since its a foldable top, but has 0 organization features. while the pintler has great pockets but not so much volume. thats why im struggling to find out its real volume.

    @@yyyoniii3245 Packs are tricky to really get a feel from on the internet. You need to play with them both to see what you like best. Id see if there is a shop around you that carries them so you can check them out. I never seen or used the metcaf but love the pintler.

    Great double pack dump Jason. Why so many bow hooks? Easy to lose or just handy to have? Nate

  • @tradbowpodcast

    @tradbowpodcast

    I forget so many of them. And I try so hard not to forget them in the tree. Yet probably about 6 or 8 times a year I go to pull the hook out of my cargo pocket and go "dang it" I left in the last tree" then have to take another out of my pack.

    Loved the Fenix hmr50. But no longer carry a cr123 battery headlamp as the 21700 batteries offer so much more power and runtime and are rechargeable. The acebeam h30 is absolutely amazing.

    I use the various kinds of natural bug spray down in Florida. My wife is an oncology pharmacist and DEET has a strong link to cancer By the way, how do you like the harness with the safety rope attaching to the front? Is it uncomfortable when you face outwards? I'd like to have a harness where I'm able to add or remove layers easily. Thanks, Jason!

  • @tradbowpodcast

    @tradbowpodcast

    10 ай бұрын

    Yep I'm covered with deet almost 6 months a year..lol Love the harness. Will never go back to a rear connection. 90% of falls happen facing the tree getting into or out of the stand. Being connected in the front give me freedom to move on stand and if I do fall will let me face the tree to get back on my sticks. I also use a dynamic rope with a little stretch and the knot will absorb some impact too.

    @@tradbowpodcast I hear you, everything causes cancer these days. Thanks for the overview. Getting a generator is higher on the priority list since I live in hurricane territory now, but this harness is going on my list. Thanks for the reviews - especially showing how your gear works as a system. Your videos have helped me get a pretty slick set up that I'm very happy with. I was never taught how to hunt as a kid, so you've been my primary source on figuring it all out - thank you!
