I am also a big guacamole fan, but instead of using tortilla or corn chips (due to high carbs and generally being bad for you), I use thick slices of cucumbers to eat my guac (at least 1/4" or thicker). I've taken my cucumber chips and guacamole to parties, and they are always a hit. I never leave the party with any cucumber slices or guacamole for that matter. :)

I like to dip with cucumbers. Small pickling cucumbers are crunchy & juicy, the skin isn't too thick (so you don't have to peel them), & they're pint-sized for easy grab & dip action. The feeling in your tummy after you eat the combination of the 2 says it all. I feel energized & full of life!

As a Mexican, this is why I try to eat ‘basic’ Mexican foods because they are relatively healthy- avocados, tomatoes, lime, beans, cactus (nopalitos), zucchini, pumpkin/squash, chiles. I try to buy healthy corn tortillas (only ingredients are food grade lime (calcium hydroxide), corn and salt). A taco with beans and guacamole and salsa is one of the best things in the world. 🥰

The Hispanic population used to have such good health stats they called it "The Hispanic Anomaly". It 's gone and now the group has double the diabetes (along with blacks) of whites, Asians have the lowest of all and Native Americans a disaster with the worst rates of diabetes in the world (except for the tiny cluster of super-rich oil sheikhdoms where nobody has to do any labor). It's from eating processed foods instead of what their ancestors ate. Incredibly, as with blacks, as the family incomes went up, their health got worse. They were healthier when they were poorer! I don't know what you're used to, but Mexican fresh cheeses are actually healthier than the shredded mixes. Oaxaca, Cotija, Fresco, Panela and others are some examples
I like to mash up an avocado, add some apple cider vinegar and lemmon. I sprinkle it with a tablespoon or maybe 2 with nutritional yeast and top it off with salt and pepper. It’s delicious.
Thank you Dr Berg, I always follow your advice

Great recipe. I love it and make it regularly. I use celery sticks instead of chips which is delicious!

Great idea
Onion and tomato fresh pickle : slice 1 small purple or red onion and 2 tomatoes into thin rings. Add a generous amount of sea salt and mix well. Cover for 30 minutes. (Onion will "cook" in the salt - no strong smell of taste) Mix half cup of water and 1 tbsp of apple cider vinegar and 1 tbsp of monk fruit sugar. Stir until sugar dissolves. Pour over onion and tomato. Press little garlic and add it to your fresh pickle. Put into fridge for 30 minutes. Serve with your dinner. Cucumber can be also used instead of tomato. These fresh pickles are very popular in Hungary and super healthy. Some people add dill or parsley, some people also add a tbsp of sour cream. All variations are delicious!
AWESOME video, with valuable information in addition to a delicious recipe. The only thing I would add, is to crush the garlic and onion instead of minced. It flavors the guacamole more evenly.
Awesome. Love guacamole. On my eggs esp add to make a lovely yummy omelette. Spread on a meat burger, its so tasty. Love to eat simply by itself too.
Thank you Dr. Berg. A thousand times (videos) over!
I was literally turning over the idea of a guacamole-esque recipe not half an hour before I found this video.. weird that. I love it. I try (and usually succeed) to have an avocado every day.

I put the lime zest in together with the juice plus a diced chilli to add a little kick but no garlic which is odd after watching this vid. I will try it with garlic now.
Dr. Berg, you are a grace from God to humanity.

I wish he could grace is with food item advice that isn't so expensive. The average single avocado price in Canada is $2.00-$3.00. Eating one a day for a month is like adding upward if $100 to our already sky high grocery bill.

@@esperago I'm in N. California and have been buying my avocados for the last 6 months at walmart for $0.68 each and they've been the best I've found anywhere! I also found them as cheap at Walmart in B.C. Canada recently when I was visiting my daughter there...just an FYI 😉🤓

@@Wiseman5257 Walmart does sell them for less. Somewhere between $1-2 per avocado unless there's a random sale. For me, specifically, I live a 30 minute drive to and from Walmart. 60 minutes round trip. We only go there once per month and I do buy items such as avocados. But they don't keep, so I can't load up. It's the supermarkets that are the culprits, especially in the last year. Price gougers.

Thank you Dr. Berg. You are my go to for all things concerning health. I had a mammogram this past Monday and to my dismay it came back BIRAD4 for a suspicious mass. I’ll be having a biopsy on 3/3/23. I’ve already started to apply everything you recommend to get healthier in hopes of shrinking that tumor before the biopsy. If there is malignancy, I plan to do the 21 day water fast like Fred did. I have watched your interview with Fred three times and it helps calm my anxiety. I will do everything I can to help myself before resorting to mainstream medical torture. I hope Fred is still doing well. ❤

Love Guacamole, and avocados in general.
Okkk. I’ll try the recipe. I don’t like the taste or texture of avocado 🥑 but I do like guacamole. It’s the month of Ramadan so it’s a good time to try it. Thanks!
I’ve never liked guacamole but, since changing my diet and eating habits things I once didn’t like have now become appealing and even delicious. Looking at the pictures of guacamole here I think I’m going to be liking it!
