What in stats... He's not contributing to winning ik they tanking but still. They got my man scoot at a d and the way he balling right now is scary. His breakout is bout to be special. He just dropped 30 on the nuggets last night plus he got a better record than half the rookies in the league. Except Miami and Houston. With jaquez in Miami and amen and cam on the rockets.
Cam whitmore is so impressive for the limited playing time he gets hope he gets more minutes
Nothing excites this man more than a good ole NBA draft. I've never seen a KZreadr more elated to talk about drafts 😂
FREAK 7'5, 8 wingspan point guard skills 🔥🔥🔥
I'm sick of people misunderstanding how good a season Lively had at Duke. He was legitimately the most impactful freshman defender I've ever seen in my 35 years of watching the team. He set the ALL-TIME record for single season block percentage... not just by a freshman, but by anyone to ever put on a Duke uniform. He also regularly guarded out on the perimeter. He was an excellent backline communicator. Duke was regularly holding teams to their worst offense of the season, and he was the primary reason. Any improvement I see in the NBA is actually on offense. And that has to do with the much better spacing and better point guard play. He was still rolling aggressively and repeatedly on every possession while at Duke. It was just less effective due to the personnel. As for defense in the NBA, he is impactful, but not nearly as much as he was at Duke. The assignments are harder. You have to cover more ground. And the perimeter players are far more skilled. There's a reason Dallas hasn't been transformed into a good defense by his presence alone.

As a mavs fan who has had to watch javale mgee and Dwight Powell cwood etc… Lively is such a welcome change.
Don’t get me wrong Scoot has had a rough start to his career but he’s getting a lot better. I watched the Blazer Pacer game last night he came out and had 10 points in 7 minutes on 4/4 shooting and looked really confident until he hurt his nose. I still think he could be really good eventually
@Prestoncurry543
5 ай бұрын
Facts his shot has improved drastically. I watched every game he's played this year and he's improved big time. Last night he put up 30 on the champ's. Wemby got 70 put on him by embiid. And let Zion hit a walk off game winner last night. Wemby ok but I like scoot better right now. Two nights before he put up 15 in the 1st half on damien Lillard and the bucks. 20 in the first half against the nuggets last night in their gym. And 10 in the 2nd half.

Ngl you also missed some more second round talents too 😂 this class is so so deep
You seem to keep overlooking Vince Williams jr when talking about Memphis he’s an elite defender with nice rebounding and 3 point shooting definitely a top role player
Coulibily and Denny avdiva are the best thing going for the wizards need to build around them 2 everyone else can go
Man andre Jackson a Dawg fr
As a Bucks fan i think Andre Jackson Jr will be a steal the biggest problem is Adrian Griffin refusing to give him consistent minutes.
Dallas taking the #10 pick and getting Both Lively and OMax was the story of the draft. We have our center for the next 10 years and OMax likely returns a terrific win now wing in the next 2-3 weeks. We don’t have time for him to mature. He’s better suited in Washington or Brooklyn. Some combination of Kuzma/Gafford or Finney Smith/Lonnie Walker completes the short rebuild to respectability.

He can't because he passed the 17 game threshold which unfortunatley disqualifies him from Rookie of the Year but he is balling out lately and is showing the Lakers that they should have drafted him
this dude said wemby would avg 14ppg and that scoot will be clearly better lol we didn't forget
about Lively- every superstar makes others look better. "MJ got people paid" is the saying i thing. its goes for Luka, Giannis (like my Bulls signing Carter, who now doesn't look so good, like he did last season alongside Giannis).
I'm not surprised at all at how Miami gets great players from draft. They are smart and being that, the 80% of the population is not smart so people will get shocked at the players they pick. For example, you have 7'5 Jamarion Sharp not even in the top 60 and may go undrafted next year but I would not be surprised if a team like Miami signs him up.
In the End, Cuban paid 750 000 Dollar to get Derek Lively II and get rid of Bertrans. And make Luka Super Happy!!! God Investment!😎

You have thrown a lot shades on Wembanyama before the season starts and now you just skipped him and decided to not talk about him, it must be tough being wrong this much.
The Heat are the New England Patriots of the NBA. They consistently find late 1st/2nd/undrafted guys who fit their system like a glove, look way netter than anyone anticipated, and if they sign/get traded elsewhere, they disappoint their new team. That's why the Heat are the most must-watch Summer League team every year. They'll almost always have 1 or 2 guys playing a significant role in the real season

This dude never fails to hate on the mavs. Lively is not a below avg defender.
Okay not saying it *will* happen, but the things being said about Jordan Hawkins (He's too skinny, can't create for himself, can't defend well) were also said about Stephen Curry at the start of his career. While it's unlikely Hawkins reaches Curry's level, if he's able to shoot well consistently, that'll give him the leeway to develop the other aspects of his game and become a solid franchise player. (Again, not saying he *will*, but that he *could*)
