Yeah I always thought Miller was a better prospect but as you said, athletic rookie point guards with weak jumpshots *always* suck as rookies. I remember trying to explain to people over the summer that he was gonna shoot 40% and they just wouldn't have it. Honestly there's nothing to see here.

Really? I disagree. Desired depth for the guard positions right now is at an all time high and most teams want a high energy, earning that contract rookies. Because of this it seems a bit easier to get quality minutes. Definitely moreso than the 3, 4, 5. If a team has their guy at the 3, 4, 5, getting 12+ minutes as a rookie is damn near impossible.

Most of the teams Dallas has beat are under 500, the only exceptions being the Magic and the Pelicans (to which they played twice and only beat once), I’m expecting Dallas to fall in the standings primarily because they do not have much interior defense if anything, and the lack of off-ball play also shows. Both Kyrie and Luka need the ball in their hands to be effective and we will see that in the coming months.

Brandon Miller wasnt even bad in summer league. How can you say that? Hornets Summer league featured James Bouknight and Bryce McGowens ball hogging and shot chucking. Here's a unique view of Brandon Miller so far: My aunt and uncle are season ticket holders for the hornets and their seats are three rows back of courtside (flex). Point being is that it's close enough to hear players talk and see their facial expressions very clearly. Anyway, I got their tickets for the hornets first home preseason game against the thunder, there was a fast break early on in the 2nd corner, a 2 v 1 and Miller had the ball. It was an obvious pass situation and Brandon Miller looked VISABILY uncomfortable passing...he turned it over lol. Fast-forward into the regular season, I got their tickets against the Wizards and a very similar situation unfolds but this time Miller looked very confident and had a rather sexy dime. No doubt my boy had some jitters early on but his confidence his growing, his athleticism is wild, and we (Charlotte) really like having him here. I have no take on Scoot but I am very happy with Brandon and hope he remains patient with this horrible franchise lol

The only reason the hornets did not draft scoot in order to retain LaMelo was not to piss him off, in order not to have a chance to defer for his development and in the last 10 games, LaMelo is playing so well that it is panning out

While Scoot has improved each month, Brandon Miller has been getting worse each month this season. Scoot is averaging 12.3/2.9/5.0 in 27.9 min Brandon is averaging 14.7/3.8/2.2 in 31.0 min I don't see that big of a difference. I'll take the guy who is improving as the season progresses over the guy who getting worse each month in areas like FG% and showing no improvement in any other area of his game.

For example, Keyonte George (drafted at 15) has now taken over point guard duties for the Utah Jazz and has been killing it the past few games.

I was advocating for Brandon Miller from the beginning. I was even wondering why the so-called experts were on the Scoot Henderson bandwagon. The best that he can be is a poor man's Russel Westbrook but i even doubt that. Had he been a Rajon Rondo type of facilitator then i probably would understand those "experts" but he is not. His physicality is just not enough to be a star in the NBA. I can name at least two players who are better than him but are already being traded multiple times. How about Dennis Smith,Jr, and Malik Monk?.
